Cultivation Online - Chapter 1637: Forbidden Technique
“I’m ready to visit the Eternal Phoenix Domain,” Yuan said to the Primal Monarch after chasing away the Primals.
The Primal Monarch nodded and said, “Don’t expect me to protect you if you get in trouble there.”
He smiled, “I’ll be fine. Thanks for worrying.”
“Who the hell is worried?” The Primal Monarch sneered before opening a rift that led directly to the Eternal Phoenix Domain.
“Can you hold these for me with your treasure?” Yingzi handed him the meat skewers she didn’t eat.
Yuan nodded and stored the skewers in his spatial ring before stepping into the rift, with Yingzi following closely behind. Upon emerging from the rift, Yuan found himself standing before a vast land that resembled the Phoenix Ascendancy Plateau.
His human scent instantly spread and attracted the attention of nearby Primals.
‘This is the perfect opportunity for me to test out my new powers while I wait for the Phoenixes to show up…’ Yuan thought to himself and patiently waited for the Primals to show up.
A few moments later, a massive purple-feathered bird, its wings large enough to cover an entire mountain, came diving toward Yuan’s location.
This bird exuded an aura equal to that of a Divine Emperor cultivator.
Yuan calmly gazed at the incoming bird. Once it was close enough, Yuan muttered in a nonchalant tone, “Die.”
In the next moment, the bird’s movements suddenly slowed, and then, without warning, it began to fall lifelessly, plummeting straight into the ground.
<You have killed Fleeting Lightning Bird>
“…”
Yingzi’s eyes widened in shock as she witnessed Yuan kill the Primal with nothing more than a simple voice command.
“So it actually works…” Yuan mumbled to himself.
He had never used the Immortal Monarch’s Dominion in such a manner in his previous life, so this was something new to him.
More Primals appeared shortly after, but they also dropped like flies as Yuan commanded them to die with nothing more than his voice.
Although this power initially seemed limitless, Yuan began to feel fatigued after killing several more Primals in this manner, and it was mental fatigue that couldn’t be healed even with his powerful soul cultivation technique. It was also apparent that the stronger his target, the more it drained his energy and exhausted him.
‘Let’s try something else now…’
Yuan suddenly made a grasping motion toward the corpses scattered on the ground and muttered, “Condense!”
In response, the corpses began to disintegrate into their purest form—spiritual energy—before condensing and forming what is known as a monster core.
In the Primal Expanse, entities do not leave behind a monster core because they cultivate through their Chaotic Heart. Yet, Yuan had managed to transform their corpses—their very Chaotic Hearts—into monster cores through his unique power.

[Description: Allows the user to create perfect monster cores from beast corpses.]
“What is that?” Yingzi asked as she stared at the monster cores with a curious gaze. This was her first time seeing a monster core.
“The Primals and Predators in the human world don’t have Chaotic Hearts. Instead, they have a monster core, which you’re looking at right now.” Yuan explained.
“They don’t have Chaotic Hearts…?” Yingzi muttered in disbelief, unable to fathom such a possibility, as it was impossible for them to survive without a Chaotic Heart.
“Do you want it? Here you go.” Yuan tossed the monster cores to her.
Once the monster cores were in her grasp, Yingzi inspected them with great interest. Meanwhile, Yuan shifted his focus to the approaching Primals.
“Although I can’t turn them into monster cores while they are still alive, I can do this instead…”
When his next target was close enough, Yuan pointed two fingers at it and muttered, “Extract!”
The targeted Primal suddenly sensed an overwhelming dread as it felt its longevity rapidly depleting, its life force draining away uncontrollably.
However, its longevity wasn’t disappearing into thin air. Instead, it was being used to form a Blood Essence.
Sure enough, just moments later, Yuan successfully extracted the Primal’s Blood Essence.

[Description: Forcefully extracts Blood Essence from your target. This forbidden technique is greatly frowned upon by the Heavens. Using this technique may invoke Heaven’s Tribulation!]
Yuan swallowed nervously at the description.
‘A technique that could invoke Heaven’s Tribulation just by using it? Luckily, I am still in the Primal Expanse, where Heaven has no influence…’ Yuan thought to himself.
“…”
When she realized what Yuan had just done, Yingzi wasn’t merely shocked—she was absolutely terrified. The ability to forcefully extract another’s Blood Essence was a terrifying technique, one that could plunge the entire Primal Expanse into chaos and turmoil.
Seeing Yingzi’s fearful expression, Yuan smiled apologetically and said, “I’m sorry if that scared you. I was just testing it out. I won’t do that again.”
Yingzi silently acknowledged his words, but the fear in her heart couldn’t be dispelled so quickly.
Meanwhile, several powerhouses had also witnessed Yuan’s terrifying powers from afar and were left in shock.
“That human just used the Primal Monarch’s powers!”
“Who is that human?! Where did he come from?!”
“Did he come to our territory to cause trouble, or is he here for something else?”
Despite their status as powerhouses, these individuals didn’t dare to show themselves before Yuan, fearing that he might forcefully extract their Blood Essences.
“Let’s just stand by and observe him a little longer before deciding what to do with him.”
“Yeah, let’s do that.”
Meanwhile, Yuan continued killing the Primals who approached him because of his scent. However, he refrained from using the Monarch’s power unless necessary.
‘What’s taking them so long to show up? They should’ve been aware of my presence the moment I showed up in their territory…’ Yuan wondered inwardly, unaware that they were purposefully avoiding him.
Sometime later, a human-shaped figure approached Yuan, but this person was not one of the powerhouses.
