Cultivation Through Artifacts - Chapter 363
The scenery changed with a single snap, turning the landscape full of towering rock pillars into a gigantic mountain that stood proudly in the center of a vast wasteland, giving one a firm illusion that it was solely there with the purpose to support and hold the sole star above it with its peak, the Star of Beginning!
“That mountain is the… Realm Path?” although feeling a tremendous amount of shock after witnessing just how easily Hale helped him travel hundreds of miles in a second, Khal quickly snapped out of his daze and asked.
“Huh? That mountain?” Hale, however, raised a brow and quickly let out a chuckle and said, “Haha, it is not, of course. It is just a regular mountain. The path is right over there.”
Pointing at the bottom of the mountain where a huge cave was located with a width of at least fifty meters, Hale waved his hand gently and with a strange but powerful technique teleported the two of them right before the cave’s entrance in less than a breath time!
While Khal examined the cave’s entrance in silence, Hale took a step forward, and with his hands behind his back, he gazed into the darkness with a seemingly pondering face; looking at him now, no one really would be able to know what he was currently thinking.
“The First Realm, huh?” after remaining silent for more than a minute, Hale turned his head slightly toward Khal, and with his gaze still fixed on the darkness he continued, “Although I have lived millions of years already, seeing many things during my seemingly neverending life, I have never seen someone coming to the Zero Realm to go back a Realm, much less into the First Realm at that!”
Saying those words, Hale looked at Khal with a profound gaze and said, “Hence, the Realm Path you are currently standing before and wish to use was not even utilized once since it was created, giving the possibility that it won’t even work and maybe even kill you if you decide to walk inside!”
“After knowing this, do you still wish to enter?”
Khal fell into silence when he heard Hale’s words, but a second later a firm light flashed in his eyes, and said with confidence, “Why would I back down now that I have come this close to what I came for? It would make no sense at all!”
Hale smiled widely when he heard Khal’s words, boosting his natural charm by a huge margin that started to feel almost surreal.
‘He is truly on a whole different level…’ Khal thought in his heart when he saw Hale’s dazzling image almost blinding him.
He was pretty sure if there would be any females around, all of them would swarm around Hale like chicks pushing each other around just to get closer to him as much as they could! He wouldn’t even be surprised if a few would attempt to take his close off and pounce on him like some kind of hungry beasts trying to devour their prey!
“Haha, I start to like you more and more!” Hale laughed with joy when he said those words, making Khal flinch slightly as with such a stunning appearance those words felt slightly misunderstandable.
“A-Anyways…” Khal quickly spoke after he cleared his throat to make the somewhat awkward feeling in his heart vanished, and with a slightly confused face, he asked, “If I may, why did you help me?”
“You mean why did I kill that Everlasting?” Hale asked calmly once he stopped laughing, looking at Khal with a questioning look.
“No, not that. You have already told me he died because he broke your rules.” Khal shook his head and quickly said, “No, what I mean under my question is exactly what it seems. Why did you help me recover my strength faster and bring me here? There is no reason for you to do something like this, right?”
Upon hearing Khal’s words, Hale just smiled again and said, “Because I decided to help, that is all.”
“For no reason?” Khal asked with confusion.
“For no reason.” Hale nodded and as he tilted his head slightly to the side, asked, “Why? Do I really need a solid reason whenever I decide to do something? I just felt like helping you that is all, but if you will feel better because of this, I helped you as you made me remember myself.”
“Made you remember of yourself? How?” Khal asked with an even deeper confusion.
However, this time Hale just remained silent, his crescent eyes closed as he faced Khal with the same smile on his handsome face.
“Whatever…” Khal sighed helplessly and quickly clasped his hand before bowing.
“Although it may sound crazy and a little ridiculous, but I will definitely try to pay your kindness back in the future.”
“Haha, then I will wait patiently for that day to come.” Hale laughed and without saying anything else vanished into thin air, leaving Khal before the Realm Path all alone.
Watching as he was alone, Khal straightened his back and glancing at the dark and seemingly eerie path in front of him, he took a deep breath, and without any hesitation walked inside.
With confident steps, Khal walked calmly into the darkness with completely unknown what to expect. However, after his fifth or so steps later, suddenly he watched with surprise as a small point of light began to form right in front of him, slowly but surely engulfing his entire body the longer he walked forward!
‘It’s working!’ Khal thought with joy in his heart and soon enough watched as the light engulfed his vision and teleported him away, changing the darkness around him into the color of azure blue with white and fluffy things floating here and there around him.
He was back! After such a long time, he finally came back to the First Realm and he was even able to see the beautiful floating clouds in the sky from above!
Wait… From above?
When Khal noticed this he directed his gaze down, only to see that there was no solid ground below his feet and he was currently high above the sky, floating in mid-air!
And just a second later, Khal’s joy quickly turned into a panicked scream as he felt gravity appearing on his body, dragging him down and forcing him to start falling with a rather fast speed!
“Oh, hell noooaaaaaaaarrghh!”
