Cultivation Through Artifacts - Chapter 368
With a heavy ‘Thud!’ sound, the head fell on the table before Anred, painting the table into the color of deep crimson.
Smelling the foul smell of blood, Anred showed a slight frown, but when he noticed the familiar face of the head his expression stiffened and darkened.
“My Lord, don’t feel worried even for a second. I will take care of him right away!” the man with the hoodie on stood up from the side and dashed forward Khal with speed equivalent of those on the Ninth Cultivation Stage.
“DIE!” swinging his dagger which flashed with a cold glint, the man targeted Khal’s neck, hoping to slice his head off with one single strike.
“You really don’t know what is good for you, huh? Very well.” Khal said calmly without looking at the attack and softly flicked his wrist that held his Moonshadow.
Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!…
Under a single blink, hundreds of cold light flashed around the man’s body before his body halted and slowly began to fall apart like a card castle!
Watching as one of his strongest subordinates was cut into smaller pieces than a piece of pebble, Anred’s darkened face turned a one hundred and eighty-degree turn, changing into ghostly pale in color!
“W-What? What did you do?” Anred stuttered with shrunk pupils, his body trembling from fear.
Although he had a bad temper, he was not stupid. He knew perfectly well that the young boy before him used some kind of hidden and powerful technique that surpassed even his ability to track!
‘Wait, that weapon in his hand… It’s a Spiritual Weapon? How did he get his hand on one?’ Anred’s eyes fell on the golden scythe in Khal’s hand before his eyes narrowed into a slit and thought ‘It must definitely be from that Moon Temple! How dare that old man lie to me?!’
About a week or two ago, Anred obtained the information from one of his Shadows that Jas, the principal of the Moon Academy suddenly created a Sect atop Moon Mountain all of a sudden.
At first, he thought it was just a way to keep himself away from boredom, but once another piece of information fell into his hand which stated that more than 80% of Moon Academy students were brought into the sect while many more joined it from all around the Southern Continent, Anred knew that there was something more than he could see.
Hence, with one of his Shadows he sent a spy inside to see why Jas’ sect was suddenly gaining so much popularity, and soon enough found out that the Moon Sect on top of Moon Mountain was a place akin to paradise! Not only was the essence there much denser than anywhere else on the Southern Continent, but cultivators that joined the sect would gain many benefits freely such as essence pills, great weapons, and powerful Secret Arts!
They even gave Spiritual Weapons to some of their Core Disciples, which was never heard before!
Knowing Jas’ personality, Anred knew that Jas must have found an immense amount of wealth atop Moon Mountain when he found that temple, or else he would definitely not enjoy such a luxury to give away so many expensive things for free.
He even suspected that Jas would hide Khal there, hence why he threatened him not once but twice to hand him over or else he would destroy the entirety of Moon Sect!
But instead of showing fear, Jas just simply answered with;
“Come and try it if you don’t fear death.”
Upon hearing those words, Anred was first hesitant but after a small amount of thinking, he decided to just force his way inside the sect and gain control over it while also killing the hiding Khal there.
Or at least would have done that if Khal would have not shown up personally before his doors, showing he was indeed right and he truly hid in Moon Sect all this time!
But how bad. If Anred would have known that Khal was not hiding in the Moon Sect but was instead traveling from planet to planet in the Second Realm and even had an encounter with two terrifying beings in the Zero Realm, his expression would have been a phenomenal sight to witness for sure.
Thinking about what he should do now, Anred glanced at the ring on his finger and was ready to summon his own Spiritual Weapon before a cold voice appeared in his ear.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t do it.”
Raising his gaze to see Khal was still standing at the spot where he stood seconds ago, Anred sneered and said, “You truly think you have the audacity to tell me, the head of the Ourvi Family what to do? Although I am surprised you have acquired a unique Secret Art, you are just too naive to think that will be enough to stand on the same level as me!”
With those words, Anred waved his hand and with a flash, an abyss black sword materialized in his hold, emitting a rather eerie aura. However, even before his fingers could have gotten a good grip around its hilt, the sword suddenly cracked and fell into numerous pieces before his feet with a clattering sound!
“What?” Anred widened his eyes, failing to understand what happened just now. It was a Spiritual Weapon, so how did it get broken?
As Anred thought about it and wished to find an explanation, Khal finally began to walk toward Anred with casual steps and said nonchalantly, “I have warned you. Next time I won’t be this lenient.”
“What did you say?!” Anred snapped out of his daze and was ready to summon another weapon into his hand, but unfortunately was slow to do so and watched as Khal appeared right before him like a ghost, his palm firmly holding his face!
“I said, next time I won’t be this lenient,” Khal said indifferently and without a care in the world raised Anred slightly before exerting a small force and slamming Anred’s entire body headfirst into the ground!
BOOOOOM!
