Cultivation Through Artifacts - Chapter 369
The whole platform below Khal broke into debris and without anything supporting him and being on the second floor of the mansion, he began to fall with Anred’s face still in his firm hold.
BOOOM!
Tremble!
The entire mansion was shaken with great tremor once Khal landed on the ground, his hand pressing Anred’s face into the jade floor below him with force just strong enough not to break his skull into hundreds of pieces!
“Bleargh!” coughing up a huge amount of blood, Anred raised his gaze at Khal, feeling fear and dread for the first time in his life after decades!
Looking at Khal’s indifferent face above him and his emerald eyes that looked down on him as if he was an insignificant ant, Anred felt his body slowly trembling and wished to say something when suddenly a sharp pain assaulted his right hand.
“ARGHH!!” screaming up with pain, Anred watched as his right arm now was twisted into an inhuman angle, his bone piercing through the spot where his elbow should be located!
“Why are you screaming so loudly? It’s nothing but just a scratch compared to the lives of the innocent souls you have turned into living hell and even killed!” Khal said coldly and after placing his feet firmly on Anred’s left forearm he grabbed his wrist and twisted one hundred and eighty in degrees!
“AAARGH!!!” another ear-piercing scream left Anred’s mouth that was almost akin to a pig which was tortured!
“Please… Please forgive me… I promise I won’t touch any of your loved ones in the future! I will even compensate them wi-, ARRRGHH!!”
Ignoring his pathetic cry, Khal grabbed Anred’s left leg and with a smooth wrench deformed it just how he did with his right arm!
“I was wrong! Please forgive me!” Anred now was almost crying even though he was a grown adult; he was looking rather pathetic at the moment, despite his enemy being only a young boy who was not even 20 years old!
But if one understood that this young boy was in fact a Limit Breaker from the Second Realm, then such a sight was more than understandable despite the 30 years of an age difference between the two!
Watching as Anred now was unable to move, Khal walked before him and crouched down, his Moonsadow gently raising his face by his chin.
“Now listen here carefully as I will only say this once. You will tell me everything I wish to know. No questions asked, only answers. Understood?”
“Why, what do you want to kno-,”
Swish!
“Argh…” clenching his teeth as a sharp pain pierced his left ear, Anred groaned lowly and looked at the thing that fell down onto the ground before him; it was his ear!
“You are an even greater idiot than I have thought.” Khal said quietly and said, “Well then, up to my questions.”
Khal began to interrogate Anred about several matters, such as where his bases were located throughout the Southern Continent, how many worked under his wings, and even about the mysterious expert that erased the memory of many about the incident where only he and Liza survived.
At first, Anred was hesitant to answer everything, but once Khal used his weapon to literally skin him alive he was like someone who just ate a Truth Pill, revealing every bit of his secrets!
After close to an hour of interrogation, Anred closed his eyes and said in a weak voice, “I… I have told you everything you wanted to know. Is there any reason for you to torture me?”
Khal seemed deep in thought when he heard the words of Anred and immediately showed a cold smile.
“You are right, I don’t.”
Anred let out a sigh of relief when he heard Khal’s answer, but soon his sigh halted and his face paled when he felt as the weapon below his chin now was pressed against his throat!
“What… I have told you everything! Do you really wish to kill me? Don’t you fear the consequences?!”
Khal sneered when he heard those words and asked, “Consequences? What kind of?”
Anred opened his mouth to speak but found out no words were able to come out as Khal was right. There were no consequences.
Even if he decided to kill him there was no one who would avenge him. No, as a fact many would thank him instead as they could gain many things from him being dead such as territories or treasures his family once possessed!
Anred clenched his teeth when he thought about this and was ready to start a bargain when Khal’s cold voice suddenly appeared in his ear.
“Don’t even waste your breath trying to convince me to leave you alive. You have already dug your own grave when you let your trash son let his ‘revenge’ on me.” Khal said and showing a devilish smile that in Anred’s eyes now looked wicked, he said, “But don’t worry. You can grieve over your mistakes and regret your whole life in hell right next to him.”
“You-!” Anred wished to curse at Khal but he didn’t even have the chance to utter a single word before his neck was cut wide open, blood gushing out of it onto the ground in great amount.
After slitting Anred’s throat open and watching how he struggled to breathe, Khal stood up and patted his robe gently even though it was not dirty.
“Let’s hope you have learned your lesson and you won’t make the same mistakes in your next life.” Khal muttered nonchalantly and without looking back walked away, leaving Anred behind in his own blood.
Once walking a fair distance away from the mansion, Khal stopped walking and raised his hand, watching as golden light engulfed his arm, spreading over his skin with a relatively slow pace.
“Although I still have time, because of breaking the rules mentioned in the book my time in the First Realm dropped from one day only to at least two to three hours..” saying those words under his breath, Khal lowered his hand and after glancing toward the sky he vanished from his spot with a gentle breeze.
