Cultivation Through Artifacts - Chapter 374
The girl in front of him was none other but Raven, the girl who won the Thousand Life Tournament and won against Seila, not once but twice!
However, compared to her previous beauty, her blond hair was no longer smooth as it was in a complete mess, her milk-white skin was no longer flawless as several wounds filled her body, and her ice-blue eyes now were rather hollow, seemingly without any hope!
Khal didn’t know when she have ascended and had been captured, but from the looks of it, it was not only a few days but many weeks if not months!
‘Hmm? Wait… Why does her cultivation feel normal like the rest?’ Khal seemed to find something strange about Raven, noticing that her cultivation base was normal instead of being weaker a whole Stage like all the other human cultivators!
Khal wished to examine her body in greater detail using his Heaven’s Eyes, but just as he was about to move, Raven’s narrowly closed eyes opened and looked up at him.
At first, she didn’t seem to recognize Khal but after a few seconds that seemed rather long, a small frown appeared on her sunken face before her previously hollow eyes began to regain light.
“K-Khal? Is… Is that real-, cough!… cough!…”
“Don’t waste your energy for talking. Swallow this first.” seeing as it was hard for Raven to talk, Khal quickly took out a healing pill and a bottle of water from his spatial ring and gently helped her swallow it.
Raven seemed to show no resistance at all and gulped the pill down, allowing her pretty face to regain some color while the wounds on her body slowly but surely began to get healed.
Just under a few minutes, she quickly recovered from her miserable state and was finally able to stand up on her feet and walk around without any help.
“Thank you… I owe you one.” Raven said in a still weak voice as her eyes shone with complex emotions as she looked at Khal.
“You… You have changed a lot since I last saw you.”
“…Thank you? I guess?” Khal felt puzzled by that strange compliment he got but quickly regained his seriousness and started to help down the rest of the tied-up beings on the walls.
Although he wished to know how Raven got here, he knew it was not really the right time for chit-chat.
Raven seemed to notice her mistake and although feeling rather awkward she quickly cleared her mind and began to help Khal.
“No, you just stay there and rest. You don’t need to help me.” Khal quickly stopped Raven, even leaking some of his cultivation presence to make her obey him obediently.
“You are… already a Limit Breaker? But… How?” Raven halted dead in her track and her eyes changed from indifference to pure shock quite fast.
“It is quite a long story, so I will tell you later. Now just sit down and recover your strength. I will be done in a second.” Khal said as he fed pills to all the beings he took down from the walls.
Raven opened her mouth to say something but found it with surprise no words came out of it.
Time passed quickly, and after ten minutes Khal finally freed the final captive and feed him a pill, quickly helping his miserable state to recover.
“It is done,” Khal said with a nod and took out a token from his spatial ring, it was his Moon Token.
“What are you doing?” Raven who was watching every move of his finally asked, her eyes falling on the token before shifting back to Khal’s face.
“I am just calling for help,” Khal said and without a second word poured some of his essences into the token.
“Khal? Where are you? Elder Rene even went to search the entirety of Planet Gia because of you! You have gone more than a week!” Senior Lin’s agitated voice appeared from the token, forcing Khal to immediately form a bittersweet smile.
“I am sorry, many things have occurred. But you don’t need to worry, I am perfectly fine, furthermore…” Khal began to narrate what happened, obviously lying about 95% of the things such as his journey back to the First Realm and how he got on a completely different planet that was ruled by the Silver Furs.
After he reached the end of his tale, he sighed and asked, “So, can senior help me and send someone over here. If I am right we are at…”
Then, Khal realized he had no clue at all where he was hence subconsciously glanced at Raven, hoping she knew.
“We are at Planet Boras,” Raven said calmly, obviously knowing why Khal looked at her all of a sudden.
“We are at Planet Boras.” Khal nodded with appreciation as he passed on Raven’s words to Senior Lin.
“Planet Boras?” Senior Lin mumbled quietly and after several minutes of silence, she said, “I notified Elder Rene. He should be there in about 7 hours.”
“Thank you.” Khal thanked Senior Lin for her help and put the token away.
He then walked over all the beings and only when making sure they were recovering without a problem did he walk next to Raven and sit down.
“It seems we will have to wait about 7 hours,” Khal said after a brief amount of pondering.
“Yeah, I heard it.” Raven nodded, her behavior rather shy at the moment.
Khal didn’t really care when he saw her like this as he thought she still needed time to recover her previous self. Instead, he looked at her and asked, “So? How did you reach the Tenth Cultivation Stage?”
This immediately seemed to snap Raven out of her daze and with widened eyes asked, “H-How did you know?”
“It was pretty obvious from your cultivation aura.” Khal shrugged casually.
“No, what I mean, how do you even know about the Tenth Cultivation Stage?” Raven shook her head but as though a switch had been flipped in her head her eyes widened even more and asked, “Don’t tell me… You have also…”
“Also opened my Soul World?” Khal asked as he shifted his gaze at the cave’s entrance and nodded, “Yeah, I did.”
“B-But how? Until now it was a complete mystery even I have opened it through sheer luck! So how?”
