Cultivation Through Artifacts - Chapter 377
Dust and chunks of debris flew everywhere while the ground below Emera’s body cracked! Blood gushed out of her mouth while her wounds filled body twitched from time to time indicating just how much damage she sustained and how much pain she was currently feeling!
“D-Disciple Emera? What happened with her?” Senior Lin’s eyes widened and with a flash appeared next to Emera’s side, instantly pushing a pill down her throat.
“S-Sect Master… Cough… Cough… Thank you…” Emera thanked Senior Lin’s help and wished to stand up, but even after swallowing a recovery pill, her body failed to obey her commands as she immediately slumped back on her butt and resulting in a low painful groan to escape from between her narrow lips.
“Don’t move. Several of your bones had been broken and even your flesh had been sliced.” Senior Lin said in a grave tone as her fingers touched several parts of Emera’s body, examining her physical condition with closed eyes.
Upon hearing those words Emera immidieatly stopped his attempt to stand up and could only bite her cherry lips. From her complexion alone, it was pretty obvious she felt deeply frustrated.
“Just tell me what happened? These are no ordinary wounds. It is almost like you have tried to fight with a Body Temperer despite being only a Body Refiner!”
The frustrated complexion of Emera only grew stronger upon hearing Senior Lin’s words and was about to say something when suddenly Elder Rene’s figure emerged through the huge hole on the building’s wall with Raven following him silently from behind.
“It’s her! She was the one who almost killed me!” Emera immidieatly pointed at Raven, visible hatred and thirst for blood blazing in her eyes.
“What? Tried to kill you?” Senior Lin’s eyes narrowed and looked at Raven, her aura slowly leaking from her body.
Although the sect allowed disciples to fight between each other and even allowed to initiate deathmatches where only one can leave with their life’s intact, without at least two Elders’ approval it was strictly prohibited to fight, much less kill!
Especially not for those that were not even a part of the sect yet as they didn’t even finish their test!
And to make things even worst, Raven was not only not a part of the sect yet but even attempted to kill Emera, an Inner Court Disciple who the sect valued greatly as her talent and potential were rather exceptional!
No matter how one looked at it, Raven was in real deep trouble this time and did something she shouldn’t have done!
‘You deserve to eat what you cook, bitch! Now your head will roll on this street for sure!’ Emera showed a brash smile, already imagining the sight of Raven begging for forgiveness just to be killed by Senior Lin!
“Wait, let’s just calm down first, shall we?” Khal, who was standing on the side took a step forward and looked at Elder Rene, “I am pretty sure Elder Rene can tell us what happened really her-”
“And who the hell are you?” as Khal was about to finish his sentence suddenly Emera interrupted him, even forcing herself onto her feet and pointing at him with her right index finger.
“Pardon?” Khal shifted his gaze at Emera, thinking he just heard things.
“Are you deaf or what? I asked who the fuck you really are? You are definitely not a Court Disciple much less an Inner Court Disciple as I have never seen your face before! This means you are either an Outer Court Disciple or a dog who has no place to bark here!” Emera said with narrowed eyes before a cocky smile appeared on her face and added, “Furthermore, you have no cultivation base. Such trash as yourself shouldn’t even have the qualification to ta-”
SLAP~!!!
BAM!
Under the shocked gaze of Elder Rene, Senior Lin, Raven, and many other disciples who stood in the distance Khal appeared before Emera and with one single motion slapped him in the face, sending her body flying through the air which only came to a complete halt when it crashed into the wall of the building on the side!
As for if she was still alive or not, it was completely unknown! However, judging from the sound of the slap that carried the pitch of breaking bones, it was very likely that Khal just killed an Inner Court Disciple.
“Did… Did he really just go and bitch-slapped one of my disciples to death?” Elder Rene muttered with widened eyes and watched how Khal walked to the huge pile of debris where Emera’s body was buried.
No one said anything to that question and only watched how Khal put his hand into the pile of debris before pulling it out, holding Emera’s limp and seemingly lifeless body by her neck with only one hand!
“He really killed her… He really just killed one of our disciples with a slap…” Elder Rene mumbled, not believing what he was seeing. But before he had the chance to become angry, suddenly and to no ones’ expectation, he summoned a half black and half white sword into his grasp before piercing it into Emera’s already dead body!
“That is enough! You are going way too fa-” Elder Rene no longer was able to stand idle and started to shout, but just as he was ready to take a step forward to fight Khal his steps froze in mid-air!
“Bleargh! Cough… Cough!…”
Under everyone’s stupefied gaze, suddenly the previously dead Emera came back to life, and although with a ghastly pale complexion she began to breathe like any other living being while also coughing up a huge amount of blood with each cough!
No one understood what was happening nor how it happened, but seeing that Emera was not dead made almost everyone sigh with relief while also starting to grow fear toward the young boy who held Emera by her neck with one hand, with seemingly zero effort!
“Just who is he really?” Senior Lin was incapable of processing the things she had just seen in the past few minutes, feeling that her initial knowledge about Khal was completely incorrect!
The one she had in memory and the one before him although felt the same and had similarities, in the end, they still felt completely different for some weird reason!
‘Was he this scary against King Zell too or did my memory fails me this time?” Senior Lin couldn’t help but wonder in her heart secretly, skeptical if her memory was really as perfect as she believed it to be.
