Cultivator With Modern AI - Chapter 579: Commotion
Xia Tian then hugged Feng Xian’er and kissed her lips briefly. “Are you willing to dual cultivate with me?”
“I’m sorry, but I’m not ready to dual cultivate with you, Tian.” Feng Xian’er apologetically said.
Even though Feng Xian’er had made up her mind to accept his messy relationship, she was still not ready to give herself to Xia Tian, and she still needed time to prepare herself.
Xia Tian shook his head at her. “It’s okay, you don’t have to apologize to me.”
Feng Xian’er then returned to the Formation Array Hall, and Xia Tian himself returned home using formation teleportation. Since he had transferred the teleportation formation from the capital palace to his home, so he could commute between Star Moon Sect and Xia Residence more easily.
“Why did you come home suddenly, Tian?” Liu Ying asked as her son walked into her room.
Xia Tian picked up Liu Ying and carried her to lie on the bed, but he didn’t do anything and just hugged her. “I still miss you and the others, so I decided to go home to see you guys.”
“Hehe, I miss you a lot too.” Liu Ying snuggled into his chest and sniffed the scent of her son. “Don’t you want to dual cultivate with me?”
Xia Tian sighed softly and hugged his mother tighter. “For now, I just want to spend time with you like this.”
“I see.”
.
.
While Xia Tian was accompanying his mother, many people from the southern continent were hunting for the ghost cultivators who were attacking various villages.
Since last night, various battles had occurred in the southern continent, and many of the continent’s people had died.
Even so, those people still have a hard time finding those ghost cultivators, especially since they hide so neatly and only use their ferocious ghosts to attack various villages.
In a village, a pair of twin women stood in the sky; their expressions were very bad looking at the condition of the village below them, and many dried corpses were scattered in the village.
They were none other than Mei Yin and Mei Yun, and they decided to fly down to check out the village.
Mei Yin then examined one of the corpses. “Sis, look at this corpse! I don’t think this is the work of a ghost cultivator, especially since the life energy was completely absorbed.”
“You’re right, sis. This is not the work of ghost cultivators, but demons.” Mei Yun agreed as she examined the other corpses. “Ghost cultivators will never absorb their life energy, but they will transform their souls into ferocious ghosts.”
*Rawr!*
Suddenly, they heard a loud roar, and a black beast appeared from the other side of the village.
The Mei Twins turned towards the demon beast and drew their weapons, and they exchanged glances for a moment before they moved to fight it.
.
.
Up in the sky, not far from the village, Sapphira and Sheng Jiang watched the Mei Twins fight with the demon beast.
“Hmm? Their sword techniques are so formidable.” Sheng Jiang muttered as his eyes kept following their movements. “I’ve never even seen swordsmen as good as them in the Holy Central Continent.”
Sapphira nodded in agreement with him. “Even though they are twins, their sword skills are completely opposite of each other. One woman’s sword energy is more sturdy and refined, but the other woman’s sword energy is softer and not that refined.”
“Do you think they can defeat the demon beast?” Sheng Jiang asked.
Sapphira did not immediately answer his question, and her eyes focused on the demon beast, who was being pushed back by the Mei Twins’ continuous attacks. “I think they can beat it, but they will definitely pay a heavy price for it.”
“I thought so.” Shen Jiang then asked again. “Are we going to subdue them? That way, we can use them to further our plans.”
“No.” Sapphira shook her head at him. “I can feel something different about them, and it seems they have a relationship with those strong cultivators, so we should avoid them for now.”
After a while, the demon beasts continued to be pushed back by their attacks. Sapphira took out the small device, and it sucked the demon beast into it.
“Let’s go to another village.” Sheng Jiang could only shake his head and fly away, following Saphira.
.
.
“What? How did the demon beast disappear on its own?” Mei Yin asked as she regulated her breathing, and fighting with the demon beast was quite draining of her energy.
Mei Yun shook her head. “Apparently, someone was observing us, and that person was the one who made the demon beasts disappear.”
“Eh?” Mei Yin turned to her twin sister. “Are you sure about that, sis? I couldn’t sense anyone else’s presence before.”
“Perhaps that person is much stronger than us; that’s why we can’t feel that person’s presence.” Mei Yun herself didn’t have any other explanation besides that, and she then flew away as she spoke again. “Let’s go check the other villages; I’m sure this village isn’t the only one that fell victim to them.”
“Okay.” Mei Yin then flew away with her twin sister.
.
.
.
In another village, two men were fighting several ferocious ghosts, and their bodies were covered in wounds from their claws.
“Damn it! These ferocious ghosts are really troublesome!” One of the men then called out to his partner. “Sect Master Liu! If this continues, we will run out of energy soon!”
Liu Tao frowned hearing that; he himself still couldn’t find a solution to destroy those ferocious ghosts. “Elder Ming! Find the ghost cultivator! We can only defeat them if we manage to kill the person controlling them.”
“All right!” Elder Ming then used his senses, and soon he found the ghost cultivator hiding not far from them. “Found him! Over there!”
“Good!” They then flew swiftly towards the ghost cultivator, and the ferocious ghosts followed them.
“Shit! I didn’t expect that person to have such strong sensory abilities!” The ghost cultivator cursed and flew away from his hiding place, but a sword’s energy had already rushed towards him and smashed into his back. “Guah!”
*Bam*
The ghost cultivator fell to the ground with a bang and spurted blood from his mouth, and soon they arrived at his place, and Liu Tao immediately killed him without thinking twice.
“Guah!” The ghost cultivator quickly died, and the ferocious ghosts disappeared by themselves.
They sighed in relief at that and drank a potion to restore their energy, and Elder Ming spoke. “I didn’t expect those ferocious ghosts to be so strong.”
“Sighs.” Liu Tao sighed heavily before he spoke. “I’ve heard that ghost cultivators reside at the edge of the eastern continent, and their place is very difficult to reach, so no one knows for sure about their strength.”
“Anyway, why did Sect Master Yu suddenly decide to leave our sect?” Elder Ming curiously asked, especially since Yu Yunzhi had stayed in the sect for so long, but she suddenly decided to leave without telling them in person, and she only left a letter for them.
Hearing his question, Liu Tao’s face darkened, and he replied in a cold tone. “I don’t know what made her decide that, but since she has already left the sect, we don’t need to talk about her anymore.”
After saying that, Liu Tao immediately flew away from the scene, leaving Elder Ming dumbfounded. “What happened to him? As I recall, he loved Sect Master Yu, but now his attitude is so cold.”
Elder Ming shook his head and sighed, and he also left the place after following Liu Tao.
.
.
Elsewhere, two men and a woman had succeeded in killing the two ghost cultivators who had attacked the village. Luckily, they arrived in time, so there weren’t many casualties in the village yet.
“Hey, Ling Xin! Even though I heard about it from Ding Yuan, I still didn’t expect that your condition was so bad.”
“Hey, Duan Yong! You better not bring up that incident again! Otherwise, I will fight you right now!” Ling Xin said angrily as he gritted his teeth, and his body trembled violently at the memory of the events in the fortress that day.
On the other hand, the woman, who was none other than Gao Lan, didn’t care about their conversation, but she kept glancing at Ling Xin hatefully. If it wasn’t for Xia Tian’s warning, she would have killed him already.
“Hey, do you think you can win against me?” Duan Yong asked with a shake of his head, especially since his cultivation was two minor steps above that of Ling Xin.
“Tch! Even if I can’t beat you, I can at least make you seriously injured!” Ling Xin said this angrily.
“Whatever!” Duan Yong shrugged his shoulders and flew away, leaving Ling Xin. He had never liked him because his attitude was too arrogant, just because his father was one of Zhu Yuhe’s confidants. “Let’s go to another village, Gao Lan.”
Ling Xin didn’t immediately follow them; he clenched his hands tightly and muttered to himself. “That bastard! I’ll definitely beat you up later!”
