Cursed Prince’s Cure - Volume 2
Volume 2: Red Girl
Kris’ teaching was very easy to understand.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that Brother Damien’s teaching is bad. It’s just that his teaching style is a little too ‘feeling-based’.
“Tighten up those muscles more… Don’t loosen those muscles!”
I honestly don’t understand it.
But Kris is surprisingly logical in her teaching. Her way of doing things was also easy for me to understand because of our similar physiques.
“Like this…?”
“Yes, it’s getting a lot better, isn’t it?”
“I think so. Maybe it’s because I have a good teacher.”
“……Ha! I knew it! Well, I guess as long as you understand.”
This girl is so naive that it makes me worry.
I’m worried that someone bad will swindle her.
After swinging our swords for a while, Shizuku, arrived. It seemed that she had prepared tea and sweets for us.
Kris and I were getting hungry, so we decided to have tea time at a table in the garden.
“So, you know? Dad would leave me behind as he goes to battle. Well, it’s not like I miss him. Still, don’t you think it’s terrible?”
“Ha-ha-ha… I guess so.”
The tea time had turned into a whining session for Kris.
Apparently, she lives with her father, moving from place to place. This is the reason why she couldn’t make friends and couldn’t complain like she does now.
Well, I don’t have any friends either, so I can understand how she feels a little. But I at least have Shizuku to talk to, meanwhile she doesn’t even have that.
She says she doesn’t miss Sieg-san, but I guess she must miss him a lot. I think Brother Sirius also said something about the maiden always being lonely.
“I see, it must have been tough for you, Kris-san.”
“That’s right! You’re a reasonable guy, Callus. So, you can call me by my name if you want.”
“Wow, I’m so happy!”
Well, that’s a weird way to put it.
But it’s the first time I’ve had a friend in my age, so I’m glad we can get to know each other. I’m sure I can learn a lot from Kris.
“By the way, these cookies are delicious! These were made by this maid here, right? It’s amazing!”
“I am honored by your praise, Kris-sama.”
Shizuku did a small bow for Kris’ honest praise.
Shizuku’s expression was indifferent and hard to tell, but she seem happy.
My first impression of Kris was pretty bad, but she’s a surprisingly nice girl. From what I’ve heard, she doesn’t seem like the kind of kid who would willingly cause trouble for others.
I’m sure she does it on purpose to get her Father’s attention. It’s not a good thing to do, but I don’t blame her.
“Speaking of which, Callus-sama, there is something I would like you to listen to.”
I ate up all the cookies and was slowly enjoying my tea when Shizuku, with a serious look on his face, suddenly said.
“Hmm? What’s wrong?”
“There was a report of a sighting of a Flying Dragon in the forest near the mansion. I’m sure it’ll be fine, but please do not go into the forest.”
“I see. It is rare to see a Flying Dragon.”
A Flying Dragon is a dragon whose front legs are wings.
It’s actually a small dragon species. Nonetheless, it is still a dangerous monster. You still have to be careful.
Flying Dragon……
Kris was in a daze, thinking about something.
I wonder what’s going on.
“What’s wrong?”
“What? No, it’s nothing.”
It’s suspicious. She was obviously thinking about something.
Could it be…
“You’re not thinking of fighting a Flying Dragon, are you?”
“No way, why would I ever think of that!? There’s no way I can win against it.”
But I’m going to win someday…
Kris has a feeling that she will be able to defeat a dragon someday.
“Thank goodness. Don’t do that, please, because people will be worried.”
“Yes, that’s… right.”
Kris was mumbling again and was clearly in thought.
In the end, the day ended with no more sword training, but rather magic training with Master. By the way, Sieg-san and Kris-san decided to stay overnight at the mansion, since the town is far from here.
But even when we were all having a nice meal together, Kris was somewhat absent-minded.
It was not until the next morning that I realized that I had stepped on an oversized land mine.

[Glossary]
• Sword Saint
A title given to the very best of warriors.
It is controlled by the “Heavenly Sword Legion”.
“”
There are no special privileges for Sword Saints; they exist only for the sake of honor.
Although the word “Sword Saint” is used, anyone who wields a spear, axe, or other so-called blades is qualified to become a Sword Saint, not just a swordsman. It is said that this naming sense is a remnant of the olden days when the types of weapons were ambiguous and all weapons were collectively referred to as “swords”.
