Cursed Souls - Chapter 21 21 Toxic Relations

Oaki jumped out of the booth and tried to book it out of the cafeteria when she saw him, her heart sank and broken. All she wanted to do was see him and know how he was, to be in his arms again, but after all this time that had gone by, her desires to be with him and lusting after him turned completely into pain she felt in her heart that he caused rushed through her entire body. Chris looked over. That was the fastest she ever ran. He knew at that moment that she was literally running away from her problems literally, and figuratively. She was clearly in shock. Upon seeing him she lost all composure and chocked on her food while rushing out of the booth. The hurt across her face was deep.

‘Why now? Why him?’ she thought to herself while running.

It left her feeling a wirl wind and hurt and confusion. She thought she moved on from him or she imagined when she saw him again she would want to jump into his arms and cry in his shoulder. But she couldn’t stop running. She ran and ran until everything went black around her.

Chris ran after her. His heart felt heavy and hallow all at once. He could feel the despair she was in, and it physically and mentally hurt. He ran all the way to the staircase to find her passed out on the ground. He picked her up. The boy ran after her too. He tried to pick her up when Chris stepped in front of her. He didn’t like the vibe he was getting from him. Oaki felt like she was living t=in the fast. Her mind racing with all the memories they had together. The memories from being young and in a toxic love.

They truly with all their souls loved each other. She remembered the first time she meets him, Will. They had an unofficial but serious “relationship”. Well that was until he got sent away and everything fell apart. The problem with him was, he loved her, as many did. The difference however was she herself fell for him. It was out of her control. The modern fricked up version of Romero and Juliet, she always thought before, well until the epic love story ended in tragedy.

They were a great pair. They got along very well, they were best friends, and they were crazy about each other. Well in the beginning, they were. Later on, as time passed he started to emotionally manipulate her. He used her love for him against her, without realizing. The relationship took a sharp decline when he started to abuse her so he would feel better, and she would let him because she was too scared of losing him to death that this seemed like the better way. They went on magical dates and love each other with their whole hearts, but because of this, there was an endless loop of pain and hurt and fear in their relationship. He rubbed off on her for the worst. Throughout the “Relationship” she was constantly reminded of how she wasn’t good enough, and how she never would she be and in the end, this was the invisible scar marked on her heart. The problem with Will and Oaki reflecting back was, his love for her was weak compared to his desire to not be in this world anymore.

She hadn’t seen him in almost a year. But at the moment their eyes met she felt every piece of her heartbreaking and drowning inside her chest. Like a weight pulling her down into the ocean, so she couldn’t breathe air. All the pieces of her heart figuratively torn in a hundred million ways. The pieces that cried over him, that loved him, breaking into smaller and smaller pieces leaving a hollow heavy pain.

She was never good with commitment, but when it came to him, it was different. They were the kind of broken individuals that fit each other perfectly.

She started to regain consciousness. She was back in the Meda-U again. She looked over to Chris and smiled, thinking it was all a horrible dream. Until she looked to her other side and saw Will. She felt sick to her stomach and weak.

“GET AWAY FROM ME! GET HIM OUT OF HERE! GET HIM OUT OF HERE!” she screamed at the top of her lungs.

Chris grabbed her shoulders and told her to calm down. The boy looked at her face streaming with tears and the disdain in her eyes. She was so upset that she completely lost control. She was hyperventilating and shaking. She was having an anxiety attack from the sight of him. Chris got up and pushed him out of the doorway.

“LEAVE! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!” He yelled at Will.

The boy left but Oaki still was having trouble gaining composure, Chris sat with her and kept trying to help with no success… He realized now that this was one of the major reasons she won’t date and trust. He could feel all her emotions. He started to hyperventilate and feel light headed… he took off his jacket and tried to have her breathe into it calmly. Eventually he was able to stabilize her…
