Cursed Souls - Chapter 28 28 Here We Go Again..

‘The paper read lights out but just because that’s what it says, it doesn’t mean this very minute right?’ Oaki said pondering to herself.

After all the directions and chain of command, she hadn’t even taken the time to look over in the room and see who her roommate was. Part of her wanted it to be Noah. The safety and security that he provided was exactly what she wanted right now. She started to feel nervous.

‘I really hope this isn’t some random stranger. I don’t want to have to go through this all over again’ But before she could finish that thought her heart started to sink. ‘What about Kure and Ava, and Em and El, and Chris and Noah Are they even alive..?’ She felt the pit in her stomach immediately after the thought crossed her mind.

She heard someone closing a curtain behind her. She slowly turned to hear the shower running. She went to sit on the dresser by her bedside. ‘Maybe we are going to be stuck following every command from now on’ She looked down and grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt, waiting to shower before bed as well. Part of her was really nervous and kinda scared of who this mysterious boy was who she now had to live with was. The shower went off. She felt like her stomach was in a never ending free fall. The curtain slowly moved open. She had her eyes closed tightly then she slowly opened them to confront the stranger.

She looked over and felt a relief swoop over her. She felt utter annoyance and hesitance. She made eye contact with him and held his gaze. His piercing forest green eyes looked at her and wet jet black somewhat curly hair and nicely tall built body started to walk toward her as he raised an eyebrow and gave her a seductive but antagonizing look. The man she now had to share her room with was Chris. She kinda felt awkward and frozen in fear. Mainly hoping he couldn’t hear or feel what she was thinking, but also nervous because he was walking straight toward her. He stood in front of her and started to lean in.

“You gonna move off the dresser so I can get some clothes or would you rather me stay naked?.”

She leaped off the dresser and went into the bathroom closing the curtain behind her. What was all this. He made her nervous and excited all at once. She felt her heart raising as his words replayed in her mind. ‘Man im such an idiot. What did I think was going to happen?’ She sat embarrassed looking at herself in the mirror. She started to get undressed to shower when she realized her thigh was bleeding. She didn’t feel any pain at first. But looking down at her thigh and seeing the blood she realized she was hurt. She got into the shower anyways and started to clean herself. The blood was running down her leg in a more clearish color after the water had hit it. She cleaned up and got dressed into everything besides the sweat pants. Her leg was still steadily bleeding. ‘Well if he didn’t think you were an idiot before he definitely will now. Maybe i should just do it myself. Then e wont know im even hurt.’ She started to wrap gauze around her thigh where she was cut. The blood was still seeping through the bandage. She thought back to waking up. She felt a slight pain in her thigh but brushed it off as if it was just soreness from training. But when she lifted one of the boys over to the blue ring and unknowingly leaving his body there to vaporize, she felt the knife in his pocket jab into her leg. She thought it was lightly at the time but so much was happening that adrenaline probably masked the pain. She opened the curtains from the bathroom.

“Don’t say anything smart but um can you come in here please?” She asked mousily.

“If you wanted me to join you in the shower all you would’ve had to do was ask.” He said cockily walking over to the bathroom. “Woah!” He exclaimed in a little shock. “You dummy why didn’t you call me in here sooner. You are losing a lot of blood. There is a huge artery that runs in you leg in you inner thigh. How how did this even happen?” He asked while kneeling down in front of her and taking off the gauze.

“I’m not exactly sure. I didn’t even really notice until right now..”

“Yanno your supposed to clot the wound first then clean it right?” He said lightly unwrapping the gaze from her leg.

“Well um”

He carried her up and set her down on the kitchen table almost effortlessly. He grabbed a rag from the cabinet and started to apply pressure.

“Hold that on there.” He said while turning away to walk into the bathroom.

She couldn’t help but check him out as he walked away. He was shirtless and wearing sweatpants. His shoulders and back were a lot more muscular than she had thought. When he was carrying her she was overwhelmed by his scent. Unlike before, this time it was harder to ignore any feelings she had for him after all they were going to be living together. He came back with gauze and a wrap for her leg. He used three steri strips to hold the wound closed as he wrapped up the leg with gauze and a wrap.

“Okay smoki, your all set.” He said winking to her, then proceeding to lay down in bed.

She got off the table then went back into the bathroom to grab her pants. She put them on then proceeded to get into bed. She closed her eyes and drifted off into sleep.
