Cybernetic Array God - Chapter 12 Hera And Miscalculation
Cyrus heard the sound of a key entering the lock and he froze. He looked at the counter and it was completely covered with scribbles and random ideas he’d come up with. If the family saw this who knows what their reaction would be.
“Oh, fuck!” Cyrus grabbed some paper towels and started wiping everything.
On the other end of the house, Stan opened the door and stepped inside.
“Here we are.” Saira took off her shoes and jacket while Hera followed her. She was wearing light blue jeans with a violet sweater. Her face was well proportioned with sharp features and her hair was tied up in a bun. She was carrying her suitcase by herself.
J was standing behind her while trying to act nonchalant despite the fact that his eyes were constantly wandering off.
Cyrus frowned while looking at the counter. He’d tried to wipe everything but unfortunately, he’d written everything in marker. Because of that, there was a black smudge on the counter.
‘Oh well, whatever.’ He threw the towel in the garbage bin and turned around.
Saira immediately brightened up when she saw Cyrus was finally out of his room. The boy finally seemed to have some life in those eyes.
Cyrus nodded towards her cynically and turned towards the stairs.
“Where are you going?” Saira asked.
“Upstairs. ” He replied.
“Well, aren’t you going to say hi to Hera at least?”
Cyrus was going to deny but decided that it was going to blow his cover. After all, the previous Cyrus was something of a social butterfly. He turned around to look at Hera.
The thing that immediately drew his attention was her turquoise eyes. The color almost seemed divine but that was it. Cyrus had seen stranger things. He shook her hand politely and sat down. This was going to take a while.
“Honey, why don’t you take a shower and change before coming down for breakfast?”
Hera simply nodded.
“J, why don’t you go show Hera her room and the bathroom?” Saira asked.
“Okay.” J tried to hide his excitement. After all, it was a chance to have some alone time with her. Who knows she might even start liking him?
Cyrus was oblivious to all of this as he turned his attention back to the Dyson Sphere project. There were three main things he needed for the project to work.
1. Financial Support.
2. Technological Expertise.
3. Qi
He could garner as much financial and technological expertise as long as he had Qi.
‘What do I do?’ He started cracking his knuckles. ‘Maybe I’ve been thinking about this all wrong. There might be Qi in this world. After all, I’ve only been exposed to a limited amount of environment. There might be Qi somewhere out there.’
The more he thought about this the more viable it seemed. Think of the LF Array. How come there was life force in this world but there was no Qi?
‘What is the relation between life force and Qi? Or is there a relation between life force and Qi?’
He needed to answer these questions as soon as possible if he wanted to survive. He got up and decided to take a walk outside and clear his head not before grabbing a notebook. He opened the door and walked out.
His brows were scrunched up while he thought of everything that’d occurred ever since he came here. He was walking while a spell of dizziness hit him and he was transported to the realm of beyond. He was once again wearing white clothes.
He took a deep breath as he looked around the room. There were only six people here. There were three women, three men, and a transgender. He could easily take care of them.
‘Well, whatever might as well get along with it.’ He concentrated on his right pupil as the LF Array activated all by itself as a huge blue muscular hand emerged from the depths of his pupil.
The hand advanced towards a blond women with her hair tied up in a ponytail. The hand disappeared inside her. After reemerging it started going back towards Cyrus’s eyes.
“What the fuck!?”
“Shit!”
“What just happened?”
The blue hand still hadn’t come back so another blue hand reemerged from his pupil. This time the people were aware and they scattered trying to run away. The hand attacked a brunette before going back towards Cyrus.
Seeing this Cyrus frowned, if this kept on happening then that would mean that the Array could only take care of two people at the same time since he’d envisioned it as such.
‘Ah, shit.’ The first hand came out of his pupil and chased down the third woman. It came back after a while and sank back into the depths of his pupil.
A sinking feeling emerged in his chest as he looked around. Both of the men and the transgender had escaped into the three tunnels.
‘Oh shit!’ He’d messed up big time. During his last visit when he’d visited this place he’s killed a few people. Two of them had run into one of the tunnels and Cyrus hadn’t chased them down personally. Instead, he’d sent the blue hand.
Wellfrom what he was seeing the blue hand might only be able to take care of women and since one of those two escapees was a man
That bastard probably survived. ‘What about the transgender?’ He sighed and grabbed his forehead.
“Oh fuck” Would the array even work on trans-genders?
He wanted to bash his head against the ground and keep on doing it until he beat some common sense back into him. How the hell had he managed to not think of that?
However, now wasn’t the time to reflect on his mistakes, at all. He had to take care of those three escapees and now he was faced with an even shittier choice because of some messed up twist of fate.
The transgender and one of the men had escaped into the tunnel on the far right whereas, the other guy had escaped into the tunnel in the very middle.
What now?
Going into the left tunnel was obviously the logical choice since two of them had escaped into that tunnel but the guy who’d escaped into the center tunnel knew his pseudonym.
‘Well, might as well go into the left one. If the manager survived then people might already know about Martin Salvador.’
He took off with a sprint. After all, he didn’t want them to return back home now did he? He needed their precious life force.
Before long he heard a thud and a shrill scream. The tunnel was completely pitch black but Cyrus was easily able to observe everything using his divine sense.
He reached the sight of the commotion and ‘saw’ the man in the middle of a pitfall. There’d been numerous pitfalls and traps like these along the way but Cyrus had easily avoided them using his divine sense. It seemed like these tunnels were the remnants of an underground network of tunnels leading to some sort of castle.
His eyes glowed with a red menace as a feminine red hand emerged from the depths of his red pupil
