Cynical Romantics - Chapter 13 Want To Go Nightclubbing With Me?
Song Ren returned home after spending the morning with the Su family discussing wedding arrangements. Song Ren felt mentally drained by the time she arrived home.
She sat in her room thinking before she thought of an idea. She wanted to take the night to do something careless and reckless. If she was going to submit the rest of her life to her studies, and become a CEO and wife, then she must do something that would clear her mind.
Song Ren was human. Even though she was diligent about all of her choicesdrinking and clubbing was something she’d done once in a while to keep her mind occupied from her daily obligations.
She called a couple of friends to meet with her in an hour at the nearby nightclub. It was safer to be closer to home.
Song Ren decided to seek out Qian Meigui to join her.
Qian Meigui heard a knock on the door, and she answered. She half hoped it was Song Sheng, but it was Song Ren.
Song Ren had a mischievous smile, before she asked, “Do you want to come nightclubbing with me?”
Qian Meigui’s eyes gaped. She had never been clubbing before and the idea made her feel uncomfortable. She was someone who enjoyed staying at home than being in public spaces with people she doesn’t know.
Before she could reject Song Ren’s invite she said, “Come with me. We need to lighten up before the new term starts. I need this.” Qian Mei knew that Song Ren was desperate. She wanted to do something daring, something that was not lady-like, and something that was not expected of her.
Qian Meigui hesitantly accepted her invite. Song Ren then beamed into a big smile. “Oh, and don’t tell Brother Sheng about what we’re doing tonight. It’s our little secret,” she winked dragging Qian Mei into her room.
Song Ren rummaged through her walk-in closet looking for clothes. She then said, “Mei Mei, I know that you have nothing to wear. We aren’t going to be modest tonight.”
Qian Meigui flushed. She felt rebellious, and for an odd reason, she enjoyed the feeling.
Song Ren smiled as she said, “Perfect.”
She pulled out an outfit toward Qian Mei, “I bought this outfit two years ago and it will no longer fit me, as I am a big bigger now, but I am sure it will fit you.”
Qian Meigui felt dejected. Indeed. Song Ren had grown bigger, and Qian Mei was always envious of her body. In Song Ren’s eyes, she believes that she was too big. But Song Ren was perfect. She had large breasts and a curvy figure. Qian Mei felt flat in comparison.
After Qian Mei placed on her outfit and glanced at herself in the mirror, she could not believe her eyes. She instinctively covered herself until Song Ren pulled her arms away. “Own this outfit, no one can tell you what to do about your body.”
Qian Meigui then stood straight and glanced at the mirror once more. Although it was revealing and daring, she felt empowered.
She wore a black transparent off-shoulder top with long flared sleeves. She wore a black brassiere underneath the transparent shirt, completing the look. The shirt was also tucked into her tight black jeans.
Qian Meigui completed her look by straightening out her hair, like Song Ren.
Song Ren came out of the bathroom after twenty minutes wearing leather pants and a black lace bralette, with no shirt. She revealed her stomach, and completed the look with a black lace chocker with a cross dangling from the necklace.
Qian Meigui was not surprised. Although Song Ren was professional and serious about her studies and work, she did not hesitate to make a statement. She does what she likes, and no one would tell her what to do.
They both covered themselves with long coats before exiting the house. Song Ren informed the main butler that they were going to see a friend. It was half the truth.
One of Song Ren’s friends was waiting outside the house. The driver appeared to be the boyfriend of her friend, as he wore a flashy suit with shades over his eyes.
Qian Meigui greeted Song Ren’s friends, and sat in the backseat next to her sister.
When they arrived, they immediately got through the VIP exclusive entry. They were welcomed with a private area with a few booths and the lower floor was flooded with people dancing along to the rhythm and bass of the music. They could see everyone dancing from up above.
The music felt enticing, but she was always embarrassed to dance in front of people.
They all seated and Song Ren ordered a round of drinks for all of them. They either took shot glasses of some transparent liquid or an amber-yellow looking fluid. The shot glasses looked like odd vials from a lab. Song Ren ordered a glass of Ros wine for Qian Mei, as it was something light and tasty.
Qian Mei never drank before as she just turned eighteen a few days ago, so it seemed Song Ren was being considerate of her. Afraid of how she may react to the drink, she quickly sent Song Sheng a text message while no one was looking.
She sent: “I am not suppose to tell you, but Song Ren and I are at XX night club at Huangpu, Shanghai. I don’t know whom else I was supposed to let know, but Song Ren is drinking a lot. However, I promise to make sure we arrive home safe. ^.^
No need to worry,
Mei.”
Noticing that Qian Mei was not drinking, one of Ren’s friends began to encourage her. Qian Meigui drank the wine; it was fruity and tangy at the same time. It tasted like juice and Qian Mei wanted more.
Meanwhile, back at Song Mansion, The Bund,
Song Sheng received a disturbing message on his phone. Irritated, he furrowed his brows. He grabbed his car keys and dialled Su Feng’s number.
