Cynical Romantics - Chapter 14 Find Mei
Qian Meigui felt weird. She felt a sudden heaviness over her head, though it was tolerable and she was still conscious, she felt like she was fine.
When Song Ren and her friends spoke, Qian Mei could not help but laugh uncontrollably. Even if the remarks were not funny at all.
Qian Meigui then heard the music change into more hype beats. She then had the urge to dance.
She then told the group, “I love this beat.”
The man that drove them smiled and said, “Then go downstairs and dance.”
Qian Mei chuckled and said, “Okay! I will be right back.”
Qian Meigui went downstairs and found an empty spot in the middle of the dance floor. She did not care that she was alone; she wanted to dance out her heart. She felt courageous tonight.
Everyone seemed to be engrossed in the music, and she felt compelled to move after initially feeling awkward. She then moved slowly against the hypnotic sounds.
Meanwhile, Song Ren’s head began feeling dizzy. She usually had a high alcohol tolerance with wine, as she drank it since she was sixteen. It was required as a daughter of a Chairman. It made people see her as an adult since she was in her mid-teens.
Her friend Yan Wei asked, “Ren are you all right?” Song Ren nodded her head vigorously and smiled, indicating that she was all right.
—
Song Sheng arrived at the nightclub, since he was not in the list of exclusivity; he waited until Su Feng met him at the entrance. He then heard the sound of a car breaking quickly, and turned to see a grey sports car pull up at the front.
Su Feng got out of the car and tossed his keys to a valet, and the bouncers seemed to have recognized Su Feng right away, as they opened the rope barrier and let them in.
—
Song Ren felt the heaviness in her head overcome her, and she was afraid of submitting, but she had the urge to fall asleep. Her eyes became blurry and everything suddenly went black.
Song Sheng and Su Feng urged the employees to let them know where the pair of sisters were, and described what they looked like. One of the employees guided them to a booth, where it was empty, with only shot and wine glasses left on the table, followed with empty bottles of wine.
They then began to search around the venue. Su Feng also called security to help them.
Song Ren opened her eyes feeling an overwhelming headache. She then noticed that her hands were tied together and she was lying on something soft.
She heard voices.
Yan Wei said, “I don’t know about this, I think we should back out.”
Her boyfriend then said, “Your father is going through a tough time. He been let go. Record me with the girl and you can blackmail her family for money. They are loaded.”
Yan Wei sounded uneasy, “Do what you can, but I can’t watch.”
Song Ren gritted her teeth hard. Aha friend has betrayed her.
Song Ren closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. She fought to keep consciousness.
She then felt the bed sway as a person hovered over her. The sound of an unbuckling belt, made her inwardly curse the man.
Song Ren waited until the man had begun to pull down her pants, to say,
“Force?” as she chuckled darkly.
“Oh sweetie, that’s not possible. I would never give up my body just like that,” she said through gritted teeth.
She bumped the guy’s head with hers, before kneeing him in the groin. The guy tumbled over the bed in pain. With her hand’s tied, she quickly got up and kicked him repeatedly, in multiple places over his body. Irritated the man stood up and began to fight her. They both clashed and he tried to choke her with her necklace, but then she used her arms and swayed them around, and fought his grip on her neck. She then grabbed a vase from the nightstand and hit it against his head. He then fell unconscious.
She got out of the room with a bloodied head and sore neck. She looked murderous, and ready for a fight.
She locked her deadly gaze on the two ‘friends,’ waiting in the dining area of the hotel room. They looked at her horrifically. Her hands were stilled tied, but she approached them without a damn in mind.
She then backhanded one of the girls, before approaching Yan Wei with a distant cool gaze.
“I heard what you said. It’s a pity that a girl with potential like you, sold her friend. I know your father embezzled money. He’s a criminal who raised a bitch.”
Yan Wei slapped Song Ren across the cheek. Her hair tousled to the side, and she looked back at Yan Wei. “It’s not worth getting my hands dirty on trash,” said Song Ren darkly.
Infuriated, Yan Wei said, “You don’t know what it’s like being criminal’s daughter!” she yelled.
Song Ren looked at her with cold eyes, “And becoming one would solve everything?” she responded in amusement.
Song Ren began to approach the door when Yan Wei swiftly approached her with a knife. Song Ren noticed and dodged. She was eye-widened. She never imagined Yan Wei a delicate looking girl was capable with such malicious intent. **** and now murder?
Her heart sped up, as she was armless. Song Ren was inexperienced at fighting, but she had watched Song Sheng many times during his karate lessons as a child.
She kept dodging the knife until she kicked Yan Wei hard on the chest, and the girl fell to her back. Song Ren then stepped on her arm, until a bone snapped. Yan Wei screeched in pain and yelled.
Song Sheng and Su Feng were walking down the corridor when they heard a loud shout coming from the rooms and they ran.
She then reached to pick up the knife from Yan Wei’s hand. She flipped the knife and knocked it against Yan Wei’s head. Yan Wei fell unconscious, but Song Ren knew she would eventually wakeeither in a hospital or a prison.
Song Ren opened the door and walked out, she was in so much pain but her adrenaline kept her awake. She was then greeted by a group of security with Song Sheng and Su Feng.
She felt both relief and exhaustion overcoming her. Su Feng ran up to her and asked her worryingly, “Where are your hurt?” he began to observe her face. And Song Ren could feel his hands trembling. He then took off his jacket and placed it over her shoulders. Song Ren felt slightly warm by his gesture.
She wiped the blood from her mouth and said, “Don’t worry, I am not that hurt. Probably a few scratches and bruises. I can’t guarantee the same for them, though.”
Song Sheng, Su Feng and the security glanced in the room. They saw two women unconscious on the floor, and a man lying on the floor between the bedroom doors. They then glanced back at her.
Song Sheng then began to chuckle, “You kicked their Asses?”
Song Ren smiled and winked at her brother before she said, “Fuck yeah I did.”
Song Sheng then ruffled her hair and said warmly, “You did well, sis.”
At the thought of ‘sister’ Song Sheng then remembered, “Where is she? Where is Mei?” he asked worryingly.
Song Ren remembered as well, “Don’t worry. You can probably find her on the dance floor. This had nothing to do with her. They only wanted me. She should be safe as long as she kept put.”
Su Feng then said, “Don’t worry I will take her home, go find sister Mei.”
