Daddy’s Webcam - Chapter 4
Marlin stepped out of the bathroom and cried harder at the sight of her empty apartment. She fell to her knees and landed face first onto her couch. Her tears soaked the silky material, as her alarm when off.
An alarm which told her it was almost time for her next cam show.
After briefly washing her face she sat down and typed in her password for Creamies. Her home page was filled with other web cam girls like her. All the girls usually tried to stay in contact with each other to make Creamies look better but Marlin didn’t have a need to talk to any of them.
As she was getting ready to turn on her camera a video caught her attention.

An idea popped in Marlin’s head as the hurt inside of her turned to a newfound anger. An anger for Henry, for Brittany, for the sleazeballs watching her, for her parents, for everyone who ever lied and said they cared, for the people who promised to love her till the end of time, for anyone who’s only ever wasted her time. This video was for them.
She set the tags for the video and hit the record button.
“This time my cam show is going to be different,” she spoke to the camera before getting up and pushing the computer chair away from her. She stood in the middle of the room and ran her hands through her hair. Her white tank top swayed with her body as she moved her hips slightly, readying herself for what she was getting ready to do.
She reached behind her and grabbed the glass on the kitchen bar. She threw the glass in the air slightly so she could catch before throwing so it against the wall above her bed. It shattered and Marlin froze for a second, staring as it rained down on her pillow. She was in awe at the beauty of it. The raining glass almost looked like magic.
“Something else in my life that’s deceiving,” she thought, grabbing another glass.
This one was full of red wine. It splashed along the way as she threw it, but still covered her bed in the red liquid. “Hah! It almost looks like the time when I lost my virginity!” she laughed aloud and clapped her hands. Joy erupted through her at the sight of the red broken glass spread out on her bed. “I’m making art, Goddammit!”
She threw another glass but stopped as this one hit the wall. It shattered in a unique way, and it almost looked like the shards of glass were butterflies as they fell.
It reminded her of what just happened, and she screamed, stomping. Pain wrapped around her heart and she clawed at her arms, tears pouring down her face again. Everything was a blur as she grabbed a knife and through it at a picture of Henry, Britney, and herself, but this time she didn’t wait for the impact. She grabbed a mug and threw it at the mirror in-front of her.
The shattering mirror fell to the floor as the door was suddenly broke down. She hadn’t even realized she locked it.
Henry burst through the now open doorway and Marlin screamed as she saw him. He ran over to her as Brittany walked in. His arms wrapped around her before she had the chance to run away. “Turn off the fucking camera!” he growled at Brittany as he blocked Marlin’s punches. He pushed her into his chest as she sobbed into him.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!”
“Marlin!”
“LEAVE ME ALONE!” she cried again. She tried to land her hits, but she offered no strength behind her punches. She begged in her head for silence. She begged for them to let her suffer alone. With this thought, she whimpered into Henry’s chest; her body giving out. Slowly, she sunk to her knees and her eyes rolled back in her head.
“She’s bleeding!” Brittany gagged, going to vomit in the bathroom.
“What have you done, little one?” Henry whispered, cradling her still body.

Marlin woke up in Henry and Brittany’s bed with a strong migraine. She groaned as she tried to sit up but failed. She heard clutter with what sounded like kitchen tools before Henry and Brittany appeared above her. It didn’t take a second glance to realize they had both been crying.
She closed her eyes and swallowed down her own tears.
Henry and Brittany pulled her up on the bed, so she was sitting up.
“I wouldn’t move much if I were you. You lost a pretty good amount of blood back there. Your body is going to be weak for a while,” Brittany spoke quietly and softly as she fiddled with her fingers.
Marlin looked down at the bandages on her wrists, knees, and arms. “What happened to me?”
Brittany choked on a sob as her eyes met Henry’s wide ones. “You don’t remember?”
“Not getting cut,” she said trapped in Henry’s gaze. “I remember everything else vividly,” she thought, swallowing her tears once again.
A tear ran down Henry’s cheek and he sniffed, “when you grabbed the knife…,” he couldn’t finish as a sob racked through him.
Marlin tilted her head while looking at her bandages,” I’d…,” she paused as she thought back to the incident. She remembered when she grabbed the knife everything became blurry, and that was when her body started to become weak. “Did I,” a single tear ran down her cheek,” you know?”
Marlin absently nodded into their bodies as she stiffened. Her body was currently numb, and she couldn’t even form coherent words.
Henry pulled away from them and held Marlin at arm’s length, gripping her shoulders tightly as if he were afraid she would disappear. “I’m going to go finish dinner real quick, okay?”
Marlin nodded slowly again, and Henry accepted it. He knew her mind was still trying to process what she did.
“This is all my fault,” Marlin heard Brittany say beside her. “We all would be still together if it weren’t for the fact I was scared. When we were all friends and we slept together for the first time I didn’t want to be anything more with you guys,’ Brittany paused to see if Marlin had anything to say,’ then you and Henry started dating and I got angry. So, when you guys broke up I asked Henry out. I didn’t expect him to think the invitation counted you too, but he did and further on in the relationship I actually started to have feelings for you. After that you and Henry came closer again. I felt jealous, afraid and confused so I pushed you out,’ she glared at the wall,’ that was the biggest mistake of my life because now we’ve lost you forever.”
Marlin’s eyes were cold as she turned to Brittany, and she clenched her fists,” that wasn’t the problem. The problem was I never needed you like I wanted to hate you.”
