Danger Zone - Chapter 239
“Uhm… I thought you said that we will be watching a horror fic?”
Nigel looks at the Alpha as he pouts his lips and stares at him with his signature puppy eyes that instantly make the black haired Alpha melts no matter what the context.
“But I want to watch this movie. Please watch it with me, Aster.”
The black haired Alpha sighs as he sits down beside the Omega and presses play. Nigel looks at him with a huge smile on his face and snuggles into the Alpha’s chest.
The movie that Nigel picked is entitled “The Choice” from the book of the famous author Nicholas Sparks. Primo raises a brow when he read about the synopsis of the movie.
It is as if the movie itself is their own story. A veterinarian who doesn’t want a serious relationship because he is scared that it will cramp his easy going lifestyle and a medical intern that is ready to settle down with her long-term boyfriend.
It really does sounds like Primo and Nigel’s story. Primo represents the veterinarian, who never cared about marrying anyone as long as he can still do whatever he wants to do in his life.
And Nigel represents the medical intern, who is willing to give up everything that he already has to settle down with his long term boyfriend.
But in the Omega doctor’s case, he is more ready to accept that he will never have an Alpha to take care of him for the rest of his life. He is already old and sluggish. The only man that is willing to accept him is Alfred but the Alpha already had a mate and a child.
And then, Primo enters his dull and sad life.
Primo raises another brow when the movie progresses to the scene where the med intern and the veterinarian meet one fateful evening.
“Okay, I’ll admit that this movie looks promising.”
Nigel gasps at the Alpha’s comment before looking back to the movie. Truthfully, Nigel had watch the movie multiple times with his sister, back in the city. He even asked Alfred to watch it with him before but the latter doesn’t want to.
Saying that it is too dramatic and doesn’t fit his style. But now, it is different. Nigel is even shock that Primo agrees to him, seeing how masculine the Alpha is, he thought that he will retort to his pleadings earlier.
Primo had to admit, again, that this movie pulls every non-existing heartstrings of emotions that he never knew he has.
“Alpha? Are you crying?”
Nigel looks over and sees the black haired Alpha’s tears rolling down his cheeks, breathing deeply almost to the point of hyperventilating. He can tell Primo is working very hard to not start sobbing right then and there.
And Nigel sits there… shocked.
According to Aiden, it takes a lot of drama filled movies or novels to make Primo cry. His heart is as hard as a stone and will probably be like that forever. He had only seen him cry once before. And it is when he broke the bond between him and Aiden.
That moment is not even a drama-filled moment. The Alpha cried because of the pain that the breakage had caused and not the other way around. But now, this sappy, romantic, cheesy movie is making this tough Alpha cry.
Something is really wrong in this world.
In the end, Nigel just shake his head, smiles, and hands some napkins to the man next to him. The blond Omega can’t help but chuckle at the sight of Primo crying, but understood why he is.
See, Nigel learns that the Alpha has this bad habit of imagining scenarios way too intensely to the point where it makes him upset and can actually ruin his day if it gets bad enough.
After knowing that fact, shared by Drax, Nigel promises himself that he will always there to help him get out of his moods and to try to get him to imagine happier things.
Primo takes the napkins next to him, kicking himself for tearing up at this stupid, sappy movie. He’s lucky that it is just Nigel sitting next to him and not Daime or, God forbid, Drax who will literally never lets him forget it.
He wipes his eyes and takes deep breaths, trying to calm down. The Alpha looks at the screen once again but it didn’t take time before he sees that the female lead got into an accident, making the veterinarian weeps like a child.
Nigel’s heart sinks to the deepest part of the Marianas trench when he sees the veterinarian cries for his lover. They just got married and had kids and this thing suddenly happened.
It is heart breaking to the point that the Alpha tremblingly grabs another batch of napkins just to wipe their tears away from their wet cheeks. As painful as it takes the veterinarian to move on while his wife is in the hospital, it gives Primo a chance to realize his and Nigel’s situation.
The Omega is older and will get older as time passes by and wasting more time with his sweet gestures and dinner date will only lessen the percentage to have a family with the Omega.
Primo’s heart stops when he thinks of the possibility that the Omega will not be happy if he died childless. He remembers Nigel’s expression when he says that he is okay if they will be married and die childless.
It was heart-wrenching. Maybe this is the right movie to make Primo realize that he needs to move a little bit faster and marry Nigel as soon as possible. Give him all the kids that he can provide and make the Omega as happy as he can be.
Just as the tears start to spill Nigel looks over at Primo, who’s also choking back tears. They make eye contact, seeing each other fully emotionally wrecked…and they bust out laughing.
They both realize this is ridiculous that they’re both crying over this movie. They both reach for the napkins, wiping their eyes and sniffling while smiling and snickering like maniacs.
The movie ends with a great ending. A happy ending that they are both hoping to have as well.
“Alpha? Are you okay? I’m sorry for making you cry.”
Primo is still wiping his tears and not looking at Nigel while the Omega is talking. He shakes his head before looking up towards the Omega and smiles.
“Let’s have a lot of little Primos and little Nigels. I don’t care how many years it will take. I will give you as much babies as you want.”
