Danger Zone - Chapter 249
The Alpha can’t help but feel responsible for Aiden being sick; up until they officially bonded, the tiny omega had never gotten sick, never been captured by cold nor flu—at least not while Drax had been watching him—but now he is stuffed under what looks to be a hundred covers, host to a particularly bad case of bronchitis.
“Stop.”
The Alpha is pacing the room, shuffling across the wood like a man possessed. At the sound of Aiden’s voice, he is across the room and letting out an intelligible litany of coos and clicks that had the Omega groaning and rolling away from curious fingers and lips.
“Are you okay, baby? Do you need something?”
The Omega is still feverish, despite the small male claiming to be cold. Muttering something under his breath, he brushes their nose together while the Alpha whines and kisses his mate’s cheeks before letting out a low yet soft purr.
“Cuddles.”
The Alpha grabs the cup of water nearby, offering it to chapped lips. Aiden drinks willingly, downing half the glass before closing his eyes and snuggling deeper in the blankets.
Pale fingers peek out of the dark covers and curls slightly, a gentle come hither motion for his Alpha. Drax’s chest squeezed at the soft, familiar mouth opening in a quiet ‘o’.
“TV?”
Drax himself doesn’t care for TV, but Aiden is almost a slave to it, becoming catatonic when watching the most boring, inane shows.
But if that’s what makes his omega happy whilst sick, then that’s what the Alpha will do. Aiden nods sleepily, smiling at his mate, hidden dimples poking out from his cheeks.
“What show, baby?”
The smaller male shakes his head, watching the Alpha cross the room so he can get to the other side of the bed.
The Omega continues to watch as Drax pulls off his clothes, with a weak, familiar hunger. The Alpha clicks his tongue at the Omega, instantly dissuading him from anything more than soft kisses and snuggling.
“Choose whatever, Alpha. My head is too fuzzy to even think.”
The Alpha gets in the bed, sliding beside the small male.
The Omega latches onto his Alpha with a cracked, broken purr that has him pulls onto Drax’s chest, wrap in warm arms with a kiss on top of his head.
“Drax?”
“Yes?”
“I love you too. You’re a good Alpha.”
Aiden’s words are muffled by Drax’s chest, but they still make the Alpha puff up with pride. Aiden clears his throat, getting the Alpha’s attention; looking down, Drax trills at the young man, noting the question in his mate’s eyes.
“I want your pups, Alpha.”
The phrase slams into the Alpha with a wave of arousal that he had to aggressively beat back. Despite how sick his mate is, his cock shows immediate interest.
His inner Alpha demands he complete the request now. It is now Drax whose voice rasped, eyes locking with Aiden’s.
“Come again?”
Aiden sighs heavily as he looks at the Alpha, straight into his eyes. Making sure that the Alpha will hear every words that he will say before going back to sleep.
“I. Want. Your. Pups. Alpha.”
Emphasizing every word to let them be stuck inside the Alpha’s mind before snuggling back to his sleep. He purrs softly while Drax blinks away form the shock of what the Omega proposes.
“I’ve been thinking about it since the last day of my heat. Who am I kidding? I’ve been thinking about since we mated at my father’s party, many months ago.
And just imagining myself carrying your pups will probably the proudest moment of my life. That’s why I want your pups, Alpha. Will you give them to me?”
The Alpha was dumbfounded when he heard Aiden’s reason about this sudden request. He is not complaining but the fact that Aiden mostly no longer care about the genetics result kind of ask himself if he is not that aware of this.
“I was just laying here, thinking of how sweet you are, how wonderful you are to me. How protective and loving you’ve been during our entire courting phase, and now that we’re bonded, you’re defending me against house plants that look aggressive.”
Drax chuckles at the last statement as his face turns red from the embarrassment. If his cousin came here at this moment, he will definitely tease him.
“The genetics are right too.”
Huh? Aiden already read about the genetics? When?
“You’re strong, attractive, powerful in name and money—you make sure that I’m comfortable and safe, even when I’m not that sick.
You’re literally the only man that I can imagine raising children with—the only Alpha that I will trust to take care of both me and any pups I bear.
I figured that all of that is implied, though.”
Drax grabs the cup of water and glad that he is the only one hearing this now and not anyone else. Not that he is doubting his mate, whether he can say these sweet words when someone is around, but he likes it this way.
“So, is that a yes then?”
“Once you feel better, I will put a child in your belly.”
The Alpha growls out, keeping his voice low and rumbling. He reaches a hand out as he leans over the bed, gently tickling Aiden between the ears.
“And I will keep you seated on my knot, in this very bed, until not only I can smell it on you, but until you can smell it as well.”
Aiden tries not to whine for he knows that if he did, his Alpha can’t stop himself from touching him.
“When you are better, baby. Alpha promises.”
The attempt at seeming upset sends him into another coughing fit, the cup shaking in his hand and pills nearly spilling from his hand. Drax is by his mate’s side, cooing at him and stroking his hair.
He steadies Aiden’s hand with his own.
“Don’t get too excited, baby. We are not in a hurry. Unless, you are.”
Aiden chuckles as he leans to the Alpha’s chest before sighing briefly.
“Thank you for being my home, Alpha.”
Drax smiles, kissing Aiden’s forehead and humming a sweet song to him. In this arms, using this arms, this Alpha will cradle their future kids.
