Danger Zone - Chapter 263
A very pregnant Aiden stands in the pantry of his home, looking through the fully stocked shelves as he tries to find something that will satiate his cravings and helps his baby stop moving inside of him.
The baby in his womb is extremely hyperactive when he is hungry and it will usually calm the baby if he rocks from side to side or ate.
Aiden can’t pinpoint exactly what he wants to eat, but all the unhealthy junk food he feels like eating is on the shelf that is eye level with him. He puts a hand under his swollen belly and cradles it, swaying from side to side as he hums a song to himself.
Giving up on deciding to eat one snack, the Omega grabs all the snacks he can hold in his arms. He even places a bag of chips in between his teeth and is on his way back to the living room where he is camping out for the day.
Walking, more like waddling, is exhausting when you are thirty-six weeks pregnant, so every day he will decide where to stay all day when Drax is off at work. The only time he gets up is to pee every half hour and to get more food when he runs out.
He has an equally pregnant friend over to keep him company.
Nigel isn’t as far along as Aiden is, but he is expecting double the baby with twins. So he is as big, maybe even bigger than Aiden, but only thirty weeks pregnant.
Nigel becomes his best friend after their mini ceremony. Even if Nigel is mated with his ex-mate, Aiden does not care about that fact anymore. He loves talking and even being with Nigel since the elder knows how to take care of the younger Omega.
Nigel even sends tips to Drax on how to take care of his Omega while Primo is already doing those tips. Some are from the people that the Omega had helped and some are from personal experience.
Good thing that they live on the same street. That way, they can keep each other company while their Alphas are out, working their butt off.
“Did you bring the caramel popcorn?”
Aiden stops on his tracks when he heard Nigel’s voice coming out of the bathroom. With a bag of chips in his mouth, he can’t answer, so he nods instead, the bag crinkling against his chin as he did so.
He walks up to his Omega friend and drops everything he has in his arms on the couch, Nigel immediately grabbing the bag of yellow caramel popcorn and chowing down on a full handful.
Aiden wants some as well but knows better than to come between Nigel and his food. The bag will be completely empty in half an hour.
Aiden lowers himself onto the couch and pulls a very thick and woven blanket over himself to keep himself warm.
It is in the dead of winter, bitter and freezing and the thermostat is on the frits and won’t go higher than 70 degrees, so the only thing Aiden can do was wrap up and put on layers.
It is inconvenient when all of his clothes can’t fit him and only makes whatever is underneath his second layer feel tight and stuffy.
That day, Aiden settles on a pair of fuzzy socks, thick sweatpants, one of Drax’s over sized sweatshirts, and a beanie. He just looks overly comfy and is the comfiest thing he can fit into this far into his pregnancy.
“Have you and Primo thought of a name yet?”
He stuffs a whole chips ahoy cookie into his mouth. He will usually eat his cookies with milk, but if he drinks anything, within ten minutes he will have to get up and go to the bathroom and he isn’t physically or mentally prepared to do that just yet.
He wants to rest first and then attempts it later.
“Primo and my sister keep on fighting over names since the Alpha hates what my sister gives to him. I mean, I love my sister but those names are not for babies.”
Shrugging as he answers, the brown haired Omega giggles to what his bets friend answered. He knows that picking up names are a major headache but imagining Primo fighting over a much smaller female Omega will be a funny sight.
“We still have time over to what name we should give to these bitches. So probably later when they are one year old?”
Suddenly shifting as he feels one of the twins kicks a foot into his ribs. His grimace is enough for Aiden to know what is happening.
“Stop calling your kids “bitches”. Look they kicked because they hate the nickname.”
“Well they are being—OUCH!”
Past his own belly, Aiden leans forward over all the food in between him and his best friend and places a hand on the massive belly.
Since his own kid isn’t that active, Aiden mostly experienced movement from Nigel’s belly since there are two inside of him.
They constantly bother each other so if one twin kicked, the other is sure to follow and kicks back, resulting in Nigel’s bladder becoming a punching bag.
“I need to go again. Oh, these kids!”
Nigel starts to move but ultimately staying in the same position since he can’t actually lift himself up from the couch without help.
This has been what is happening for a month now and at first, Nigel is too embarrassed to ask for help getting up, but now he isn’t as self-conscious and realized it is just Aiden, his best friend, who will have to help him up and will do so without judgment since he too is pregnant.
Aiden internally sighs, he is getting too pregnant for this.
The brown hair Omega hoists his own body off of the couch with much difficulty and after straightening out his clothes, he goes on to help Nigel get up.
He grabs Nigel’s hands and with a bit of communication, Aiden is able to pull Nigel off of the couch. The elder male is finally up and off to the bathroom. Aiden stays behind in concern and also common courtesy.
When he has pull Nigel up from the couch, he can feel this strain across his lower abdomen, feeling like he is pulling a muscle. It doesn’t feel good and it stays with him a good amount of time before finally going away.
Aiden rubs at the area and once gone, he doesn’t worry about it and just sat back down, starting to munch on another cookie. The thought still lingers at the back of his head, but he is much more involved in his cookie.
After a few minutes, Nigel waddles back into the living room and plops back down onto the couch. With how big he is, his body just sinks into the couch, not giving any shits to the cushions with how heavy he is.
Then he grabs the other side of Aiden’s blanket and drapes it over himself. He may have been big and pregnant, but he is still freezing cold in that house. No amount of baby will change that.
Nigel starts on another bag of chips as the two watch TV. It has been an hour since he had last gone to the bathroom and it is a miracle that he hasn’t had to before that amount of time.
Aiden is grateful since he is still cramping, as he has self-diagnosed it. He has only eaten junk that whole day and has been confined to the couch, so it makes sense that his body is rejecting what he is doing to it.
He also guesses that they could have been Braxton hicks contractions, but whatever he is feeling is too weak than what he has felt before.
