Danger Zone - Chapter 268
“The world is filled with uncertainties. When something will happen or when it won’t, who it might happen to and when; whether it’s creation or destruction, being born into the world or breathing your last.
The world is filled with uncertainties. Our lives are uncertainties, present and future full of uncertainties. The earth we live on was created by an uncertain phenomenon—hell, even our existence is one of the most uncertain things in this universe.
We spend our lives trying to make things more certain, more understandable, so that we can teach future generations and help them feel less afraid of uncertainties, less wary and paranoid of mays and may nots, we do this because we are uncertain of life, death, the world, the cosmos, what may or may not lie in the deepest part of the ocean.
We do this because we are uncertain of what may or may not exist in the deepest and farthest and even the widest in the dark, silent expanse of space; of us.”
Tears start to flow slowly as Drax says this words in front of the mate that he has been wanting to meet, to love, and to have. It has been years since they had been together and the day that they had been planning on is finally happening.
Here is he now, standing in front of Aiden with a paper in hand and a microphone at the other. He sniffs a breath in as his beautiful Omega smiles widely in front of him. Their kids are watching this ceremony with their wide curious eyes and their friends and family being their only witness.
To a love story that doesn’t have a good beginning and no one expected to happen. The Omega, himself, can’t believe that he did not expect to marry the third Alpha that he thought is only a friend when they first met.
“But here, now, standing in front of you, I am certain. I am certain of how I found you, how I loved you, how I will love you in the past, present, and to our future.
The only thing I am certain of when I wake up in the morning, when I fall asleep in your arms in the middle of the night when we both hear their cries.
The only thing I am certain of with every fiber of my being, with every cell that exists within me, growing and dying every day, in this life full of uncertainties and question marks.
The only think I am certain of in this galaxy of uncertainties is that I love you and I will continue loving you until those brown hairs of yours slowly turn white.
I love you, my Omega.”
A loud roar of applause follows Drax’s speech as his mate hugs him and him hugging Aiden back tightly. Their kids giggling into the oblivion as if they know what is happening around them.
Drax looks at them and smiles happily and will always happy that he had them as his family. He looks up front to the people as he spots one person that made him remember his childhood.
His eyes widen in surprise as Aiden follows his gaze and smiles knowingly. He knows who the lady is and it is his fault why she is here. Primo hands Drax a box of tissue and asks him to listen to Aiden first before going somewhere.
The Alpha glares at him in return, making the other Alpha chuckles and moves back to his own mate.
“If you let me love you, let me be that character in your own novel, let my love be a promise to you, to be your little euphoria, your serendipity, your singularity of the universe and your epiphany, I will promise that I will always be there for you.
If you let me love you, to the depths of the Earth’s core and the ends of the Earth, and with each passing season, until the ripples of our love can be felt lifetimes away just like this, I will love you just a little bit more.”
Aiden smiles while reading his own vow that he even asked Nigel for help while doing it. The Omega is never good with words. He either stutters and might even stutters while writing his vow, hence, asking his best friend for help.
“Our love may not be one that defies galaxies or rebels against the driving forces of nature that threaten to tear us apart.
It is not the type of love to fuel the fire of goodness, nor is it the type to block out the forces of beep beep that might linger around you.”
Nigel laughs at what Aiden said and looks at his mate as he shakes his head. He knows what those beep beeps meant and for the sake of all the children that is present in this wedding ceremony, he needs to censored it out.
“Our love is not one for the ages and may never be sung reverently by minstrels and singers, may never be seen in history and story books.
But it is ours, and not by the divine providence of God or providence of fate and the universe, but the providence of my heart and soul, and this, my Alpha, I vow to you forevermore.”
Aiden takes a deep breath before continuing his piece. He can see the tears from his Alpha’s eyes and he can feel his as well. But there is nothing stopping him now since it has been long overdue already.
“For as long as i live, as long as i love, as long as every cell in me grows and loves you more with each passing day, this i vow to you, my heart and soul, my partner in crime, my best friend, my 3am drive to Mc Donald’s to eat fries and talk the night away about anything and everything, my lover, my Alpha.
In this lifetime, the next, and all the others in between, I will always love you, now and forever. I love you, my perfect Alpha.”
Drax smiles widely at Aiden before claiming his kiss that made Jasmine and Cassie close the twins eyes since they are too young for that but are still wondering for that beep beeps.
After the main ceremony, the Alpha immediately goes to the woman that he sees earlier and exclaims her name like a small child. Aiden watches the exchange with a small smile as he carries one of his children.
The woman approaches Aiden with tears on her eyes and coos at the child that Aiden cradles and whispers “thank you” to him. In which Aiden accepts with a shake of his head and gives it back to her.
“Thank you for taking care to this giant baby when he still a child. I love him so much.”
The woman is Drax’s grandmother. The only person that remains from his family.
