Dark Lord Dumbledore - Volume 1 Chapter 8
The targeted warehouse was situated in an industrial area that was mostly empty at night. With practically no traffic, this warehouse was used as a headquarters for a minor gang. They were semi-competent as they never targeted any businesses in their area to keep police from sniffing around, it was even the opposite, they discouraged crime.
They sold recreational drugs to the nearby commercial area that was packed full of pubs and bars, it was quite the setup, they had even increased their volume lately. Since there was very little competition, they were a bit too carefree concerning security, only having three members stay behind to guard their HQ. It was a bored and incredibly lax guard that was found when the ninja elves attacked.
Since they were ordered not to kill, they used the stunner spell, something that all the elves got to practise at when Chad wanted some alone time from Petunia. It was over before it began, the guards slumped over unconscious, two at a table playing cards, the third relieving himself at the urinal. The elves then got to work, they had a list of everything that there Master wanted to be taken.
Ten minutes later, every bit of cash, jewellery or weapon was stored in shrunken trunks, and there was no sign of anyone other than the downed guards. Even the guard’s possessions were not spared as the ninjas robbed anything of value that was on their list. The drugs were left alone. Any security camera belonging to the warehouse had been smashed, and no sign or calling card was left behind to identify the culprit.
Boppy appeared in front of Chad to update him on the mission. “It is done Master, there were no problems.” He reported with pride.
“Already? But it has been less than fifteen minutes! Take me there.” Chad wanted to see the loot for himself.
Chad suddenly found himself in their underground hideout below Godric’s Hollow. His ninja elves were dressed in their black full-body outfits lined up at attention.
“I hear congratulations are in order, how did your first operation go.” He asked.
“There were no problems, Master. We took care of all the cameras and then stunned the guards, nobody was seen. Then we took all the loot, even the stuff that was hidden!” Said the elf selected to speak by Boppy, they all took his position as head elf very seriously.
“Excellent work, everyone! Place all the loot in the designated piles so I can see our gains.” Said Chad, and was then treated to thirty-two elves madly darting between three marked areas. It seemed that even though the gang they hit was considered small, they had quite the haul.
– 265,540
– 16 pieces of average quality jewellery.
– 3 handguns.
– 5 knives/blades.
Not a bad haul for ten minutes of work! Since his ninjas passed the training run, he let them attempt the next ten missions of the same difficulty. It turns out that London had quite a few aspiring gangs scattered around. With a bow and barely controlled excitement, the ninja elves disappeared.
Two hours later and chad was stunned at the result of the elves missions. He was staring at about 2,500,000 and an impressive pile of jewellery and weaponry. And this was only the minor gangs! Chad had wanted his ninjas to get some training from operations with little risk of failure and to accustom them to fighting.
They performed flawlessly, taking out cameras and teleporting behind gang members to stun them without being seen. It was time for them to attack a mid-sized gang. It would be their last mission for the night as it was already 4 am.
The target had thirty or so members in their headquarters and two houses they used as outposts that they operated out of. The two houses were hit without any problems, their victims stripped of anything of worth except for drugs. They needed to make their money back somehow! It was the next target that caused them some problems.
The building they were infiltrating was actually a series of buildings in a council housing zone. The council tenants were given the Right to Buy in the Housing Act 1980, offering a discount price on their council house. This was taken advantage of by one ambitious gang, and a cl.u.s.ter of houses was obtained and converted into a sprawling HQ.
The problem was the many blind spots and places for people to hide. This was overcome by the elves extensive surveying of the gangs converted compound, and they quickly began their assault. Unfortunately, one of the gang members had recently kidnapped a woman for ‘entertainment,’ and it was missed in the elves reconnaissance yesterday.
When a mini ninja teleported in to find a chained up woman being r.a.p.ed by a drunk hoodlum, he was unprepared for what to do. Their training had always been for specific scenarios, and this one had never come up! The ninja elf stood there stupidly for a couple of seconds unsure of what action to take.
This was solved for him when the man saw him standing at the side of his bed. The criminal shouted in alarm at seeing a dark-clad child-sized figure and reached for the gun on the nightstand. The ninja’s training kicked in, and he teleported behind the man, drawing his sword in a well-practised motion. Just as with the many training mannequins he had practised on before, the head separated with ease.
Unfortunately, this was accompanied by a fountain of blood, it sprayed everywhere, covering the wall and splashing the woman. The beaten and bound woman’s eyes bulged in horror and her mouth opened to shriek in reflex.
The elf had the good sense to hit her with a stun spell instead of using his already drawn sword. Their Master had explained non-combatants to them and that they were not to be killed. Knowing that this counted as a problem, he teleported back to HQ to seek guidance from his Master.
Chad was still playing with all his money, he had never seen so much in one place before! When a slightly hysterical elf popped in, he was not even mad that something had gone wrong, he had expected it too. This was why Chad had them start small and work their way up in difficulty, they were never going to always succeed. This way, the chances of a successful mission would be much higher with all the practice missions.
“Master, there was a problem. An unknown woman was tied up and caused me to mess up! She was stunned, but I killed the bad guy! There is a lot of blood!” The killer elf complained, his large eyes looking like they were going to pop out of his head.
“It’s ok, you did well to ask for further instructions. Did the woman see you?”
“Yes, Master.” Said the little guy while nodding enthusiastically.
“Ok, well we have to save the girl anyway, so bring her here. Strip the bad guy of all is loot and banish the body. Clean the room so that there is no trace of blood or a fight.” Ordered Chad firmly.
The little guy’s first kill had obviously upset him, he needed something to take his mind off it and cleaning was what he was used to. Cleaning up the first guy he ever killed, was a bit awkward though. Hopefully, it didn’t break the poor elf, Chad would have to celebrate this somehow, turn it into an achievement instead of a demerit.
The rest of the mission went as expected. Everyone was knocked out, and the place thoroughly plundered, even the hidden stashes were uncovered. House-elves were pro’s at cleaning houses, they could somehow sense every nook and cranny to clean. This worked well when they were searching for secret compartments under floorboards or in walls, nothing was safe from being pillaged.
The room where the casualty happened was practically sparkling with cleanliness. The ninja elf had even made the bed! Not a trace of what happened could be determined from the room, in fact, it would add to baffle the gang.
They wake up after being mysteriously knocked out, only to find they have been robbed! Next, they notice gang member ‘G’ is missing and go to his room, only to find it made up to the standards of a five-star hotel! It would be worthy of The X Files.
When all the elves had assembled back at Godric’s Hollow, Boppy called out the elf that had killed the thug.
“Dippy, tonight you have used your sword in service of your Master! Even though you were only supposed to stun the enemies, there is always a chance you will have to use your blade to solve a problem. Although you made a mistake, you kept a cool head and asked for further instructions after securing the room.
In recognition of your training and your sword tasting our enemy’s blood, you are awarded the right to display your name! Before this mission, you were just a nameless ninja, now you are Dippy, a blooded warrior in service to our Master!” Yelled out Boppy with enthusiasm, he relished his role as the head elf!
Boppy did some elf magic to make Dippy’s name appear in red writing on his chest. The elves were unsure what to do until Chad came over and pat Dippy on the back.
“Congratulations Dippy, although taking a life is hard, sometimes it is necessary. Take comfort in that today you saved an innocents life and are the first to be allowed to display your name. I’m proud of you Dippy, you are now a step closer to a full ninja!” Said Chad, doing his best to put a positive spin on the fact that the elf had taken his first life.
All in all, it was a big tick in the win column. No f*cks were given to the grisly death of random thug ‘G’, Chad was more worried about the state of his ninja elves mind. But seeing the other elves glancing enviously at the red text on Dippy b.r.e.a.s.t and the little guy’s shoulders straighten a bit with pride, he thinks everything will be ok.
Now there was something that he needed to make a decision on. What the hell was he going to do with this girl?
