Daughters of the Elite - Chapter 122
When Qian Meigui was inside, the clouds blocked the sun.
But when she entered the yard, the clouds parted, and the sun shone at it’s highest peak, the sky deepening into a blanket of blue. A halo of light formed around her. She was speaking to his father when she glanced up at him; their eyes met.
Song Sheng couldn’t contain his emotions; it was the fact that he once tried to escape from this possibility because he was afraid. And now, she was walking towards him, binding them together for eternity. Qian Meigui stepped onto the platform when she let go of Song Rui, taking his. The veil concealed her, but he could see her through the beautiful threads of her gown.
When she settled in front of him, Song Sheng stepped closer to lift the veil from her face, over her crown of flowers, revealing her startling beauty. Her long brown wavy hair cascaded past her shoulders; her lips painted rouge; her cheeks blushed.
The sun’s hues never left her, causing him, and everyone else to see the rays hit her like light-emitting through gothic stained-glass windows. Her soft-brown eyes gazed up at him, her face brave and unwavering, as if she was telling him that she was ready through their lingering stares.
It was as if no one was around them, and it was just the two of them on that platform; they were lost, the sound of music drowning out, and Song Sheng stared at her affectionately, emotionally.
Song Rui was the one who was going to officiate the wedding. He was the one who brought them together, unknowingly, and he would be there when they married. He did it on behalf of them, and on behalf of his best friends that weren’t there—Qian Shanyuan and Qian Aiguo.
Qian Meigui and Song Sheng exchanged rings and vows. Song Sheng had bought her a ring in the shape of a halo with a diamond that matched her engagement ring, and it was the colour of sunburnt gold, not surprisingly.
Afterwards, Song Sheng reached down to kiss her deeply in front of everyone. He dipped her back as she held onto him, and they publicly declared their love. Their guests cheered them on enthusiastically, and everyone was happy.
Qian Meigui smiled at the crowd as Song Sheng held onto her waist. He then helped her step down the platform, and he walked her down the aisle, towards the inside of the foyer.
Photos were taken of them throughout, capturing their most genuine moments. Qian Meigui carried a bouquet until they were inside. The dining hall of their home was grand and massive, anticipating that they will have parties in the future, and they want the space to fit their growing families.
Once inside, Xue Guangli helped her remove the train of her dress as she designed it. Afterwards, she felt more light by wearing less clothing.
Song Sheng waited for her at the bottom of the staircase where she descended, wearing a full-neck, flowy-laced dress. She removed the veil, but she kept her crown. He felt that it suited her.
Afterwards, Song Sheng walked with her, hand and hand into the dining hall, where everyone waited, settled. Once they began to eat, and later, everyone danced until the soles of their feet began to hurt.
At one point, Qian Meigui had thrown the bouquet behind her to a group of unmarried women. Xue Guangli had accidentally caught it, and she looked well surprised. But she smiled and accepted it.
It was nearly dawn when the crowd dispersed, and everyone was going home. Song Sheng and Qian Meigui parted with every guest until it was just the two of them in their home, married.
Once they were alone, Song Sheng locked the door, and he immediately turned around to lift her and sweep her off her feet. Qian Meigui yelped at his sudden boldness, especially since they were both exhausted from the long day and night.
But he gazed her gently, as they both ascended the stairs together. Song Sheng kicked the door of their bedroom open. They had a large spacious balcony, the wind swaying in the room, the dawn nearly peaking.
Song Sheng dropped her gently to her feet. Candles lit around; he must have entered the room when she was distracted speaking to their friends and family.
Song Sheng turned on some light music from a disc; the sound calm and romantic. He then removed his cufflinks, removing his tie and anything that made him feel uncomfortable.
He approached her slowly, grasping her hand by brushing his fingers on her arm first, sending shivers throughout her body before he entwined his hands with hers.
He lifted one of her hands and encircled her waist with his free arm. He began to sway with her head pressed against his. Even though their feet were aching, they wanted to dance alone, romantically.
The wind parted through them from the balcony; their bodies pressed against each other. Within a few moments, Song Sheng captured her lips, deepening it. Qian Meigui found herself reaching up to him, touching his face, encircling her tongue around his, their breathing deepening.
Song Sheng guided her to the bed. He laid her down gently, kissing her fervently, holding her neck until he lingered kisses against her collarbone. Qian Meigui m.o.a.ned softly. Song Sheng began to remove her dress, clumsily, as it was thick, despite the removal of layers.
Once he discarded her clothing. She lied n.a.k.e.d underneath him; her ring finger was glimmering sunburnt gold. Song Sheng dropped his clothing not long after, and just when he was about to penetrate her, she said.
“I need you to be gentle.”
Song Sheng raised a brow, “On our wedding night?” he teased; his throat dried.
“Mhm,” she began smiling. She then leaned up to whisper in Song Sheng’s ear, “You don’t want to hurt the baby.”
Qian Meigui knew it was her turn to surprise him.
Song Sheng froze. He then looked at her unbelieving, and she smiled at his reaction.
“What?” he asked her.
“I’m pregnant,” she told him softly.
Song Sheng was at a loss for words. “Really?” he asked with roiling excitement.
Qian Meigui nodded enthusiastically.
“How?” he asked.
Qian Meigui chuckled. “You’re not very consistent with protection,” she reminded him.
Song Sheng then lifted her, happily. “Dear God, I love you so much, my wife,” he breathed.
Qian Meigui stared down at him gently, “I love you too,” she whispered.
At that, Song Sheng lifted her down gently on his lap. Because she was pregnant and he needed to be gentle, Qian Meigui took the lead, making love. She rocked her h.i.p.s against his, and not long after, did they reach their climax.
After they finished, Qian Meigui leaned against him. Song Sheng caressed her stomach thoughtfully.
Song Sheng felt as if he was in complete bliss. He was married to the woman he loved for so long, and she was already carrying their child! He felt as if they were on top of the world!
