Daughters of the Elite - Chapter 61:Qian Meigui Was Happy For Her
In the middle of the night, Song Ren unconsciously stirred against him, awakening his desire once more. Su Feng woke her up for another round until they fell asleep again.
In the morning, Song Ren rubbed her eyes as the sunlight peered through the curtains. She glanced up at the figure that rested, one of his arms pillowing her head. His long eyelashes fluttered, his golden-hair tousled to one side. She smiled, cupping his cheek in her hand. He did not stir as he slept, out cold. Song Ren chuckled as she shuffled out of the bedsheets.
As Song Ren stood, her legs wobbled, her knees buckled. She touched her waist instinctively, from the aching pains. Song Ren then turned to face the sleeping figure, glaring and cursing Su Feng quietly from what he had done to her. She slipped into the bathroom, flicking on the shower. Amid the hot steaming heat, Song Ren did not notice Su Feng slip into the bathroom, stark naked. When she turned around, he startled her as he stood opposite of the glass. She made the outlines of his body, but she could not see his full contour.
Song Ren waited a bit, before she reluctantly agreed, “All right.”
Su Feng opened the glass door, casually sliding in. As soon as he saw her, he stumped for words. Though they did it three times last night, in the shower now, in broad daylight, he could see her better. The water cascaded down her back, sleeking her hair; her cheeks flushed from the steam, and she looked like some fallen deity. He swiftly approached her, planting a deep kiss. Song Ren met him with equal passion, allowing him to express his feelings. She heard him last night when he told her; he loved her.
Song Ren stopped him from going any further. From her view, his body was glorious. She blushed, realizing that they had gone all the way. He kissed her forehead before he reached for a shampoo bottle that had a subtle masculine fragrance. Su Feng opened it and began to place it on her head. Song Ren was puzzled, but then he massaged the shampoo into her hair cheerfully. As he washed her hair, he moved onto her body. She felt warm by his gestures. Song Ren returned the favour, and they both chuckled when they drenched in foam from both the soap and shampoo.
After rinsing, Su Feng provided her with some of his clothing. She wore a long blue collared shirt over her underwear that wrapped around her body. Su Feng went into the kitchen preparing the meals. Song Ren sat on the couch, switching on the television, occasionally glancing at him, feeling utter bliss. She glanced at her ring finger, practically beaming. She took out her phone, taking pictures and sent them to Qian Meigui.
Song Ren then rose from the couch, approaching Su Feng from behind, surprising him with a warm embrace and a bright smile.
—
Qian Meigui was in the middle of registering for her final school year when she received a message from Song Ren with (7) attachments. Curiously, she opened the message and gasped at how the photos were of her hand wearing a glimmering pear-shaped ring — the images taken from various angles of her hand. The room appeared to be unfamiliar and judging from Su Feng at the background of one of them, Qian Meigui figured out what happened.
Qian Meigui was beaming, she felt like exclaiming out loud, but because she was in a public space, she made no noise. But on the inside, she was happy for Song Ren. She felt like rushing to her now, speaking about the arrangements. But she had to finish her errands. She sent back a message of congratulations. She wanted to tell Song Ren that she had passed her entrance exam for law school, but she felt like it was pointless since Song Ren believed in her anyway.
After she sent the message, she went back to filling her documents. Amid filling them, she thought about Song Ren. Qian Meigui knew she must be feeling blissfully happy for being with someone she was in love with. But Qian Meigui wondered how it felt to be with someone they loved, where the feelings are mutual. She couldn’t relate. Regardless, Qian Meigui was happy for her.
Qian Meigui finished, and she went up to the secretary of the new school she’s attending. After she handed them in, she drove back home. On her way, she passed a billboard promoting Song Sheng’s movie. As she drove further, she drove past his apartment complex. His handsome face appeared everywhere she went, and she was feeling exhausted about it.
When she arrived home, Qian Meigui greeted Song Jinyi and Song Jun. They both wore cheerful smiles, hearing about Song Ren’s news. They then held her hands, and their moods seemed to brighten up her spirits until she walked into the living space and realized Song Sheng had come over to visit.
“What are you doing here?” Qian Meigui asked him coldly.
Song Sheng knitted his eyebrows, “I came here to visit you guys, waiting for Ren.”
“Ah,” she responded calmly. “Ren may come for dinner; maybe she won’t come home at all.”
“I’ll wait then,” Song Sheng retorted.
“Suit yourself.” Qian Meigui sighed, leaving before he asked, “Where are you going?” Qian Meigui paused before turning to him. “Outside,” she said. “Then I’m coming with you,” he casually responded. Qian Meigui glanced at him curiously with furrowed eyebrows. Eventually, she gave up, rolled her eyes, and allowed him to follow her.
As they went to the yard, a warm breeze swept through them, ruffling Qian Meigui’s pale pink dress. She sat by a large weeping willow tree, the sky bright blue, but the clouds covered the blazing sun. Spring was nearly over. She pulled a textbook from her bag and began to read.
From her peripheral vision, Qian Meigui saw Song Sheng sit next to her, peering over her shoulder. She glared at him slightly before shifting away. Song Sheng also shifted, sitting next to her again.
Qian Meigui slammed her textbook. “Can I help you?” she asked with an irritated tone.
“Why are you mad at me?” he asked. His hair fell over his beautiful lashes as he looked into her deep brown eyes, searching for an answer.
“I’m not mad,” she tried to say as toneless as she could muster. Song Sheng crossed his arms, “yes you are. What have I done to piss you off?”
Qian Meigui was about to say something, but she was at a loss for words. What could she say? That she saw him in a catalogue with his costar? That sounded ridiculous! Just as Song Sheng was about to persist, Qian Meigui received a phone call from Zhong Liu. The name appeared brightly on her screen. She rose to take the call when Song Sheng left abruptly. Qian Meigui looked at him, sighing as he left, and answered the call.
