Daughters of the Elite - Chapter 75
Su Feng heard a thundering knock during the early night when he checked the cameras, noticing Song Ren waiting for him at the front of his house. He quickly ran to the door, springing it wide open. Song Ren appeared to be in a gloomy mood. It hurt him to see the bold woman he loved look so weary.
“What’s wrong?” he asked her, worried.
Song Ren approached him hastily, embracing him hard around his neck. Su Feng met her embrace, catching her in his arms. “My father is home, and he knows,” she said to him in a half-sob. Su Feng was slightly shocked, but he knew it was inevitable. The information was going around quickly, and Song Rui would be one of the few people who would find out first.
Su Feng then let Song Ren into his home. As soon as she went in, she grabbed his face, kissing him fiercely. It was hurried, hungry, and fearful, afraid that they would part at any moment.
Su Feng let her, guiding her to his bedroom without letting go of each other. It hurt them both. They were afraid; they felt helpless, and the only assurance they could find was the unification of their bodies.
They made love to provide each other with that sense of comfort in knowing they had each other and will fight for it.
Su Feng glanced at the sleeping figure in his arms, with an overwhelming sense of sadness. Song Ren was the woman he fought against, and now that he had her, fate decided otherwise.
Su Feng bundled her up with his warm body, trying to forget about their problems, at least for the night.
—
Qian Meigui woke up to the sound of her phone. She stretched her arms, reaching out. She glanced at the screen with a few missed calls. She called back Su Feng immediately.
“Song Mei?” he called out.
“Mhm, Su Feng, why are you are calling?” she asked as she rubbed her eyes, yawning.
“Could you help me?” Su Feng asked her. Qian Meigui shuffled out of bed immediately. “What do you need?” she responded, answering as a way of agreeing.
“I need you to look over something for me. I’ll send you the files right now.” Su Feng explained to her everything he was planning. He only informed her not to tell Song Ren and that he needed her legal advice to proceed forward. They both spoke for nearly an hour before Su Feng hung up the call.
Qian Meigui decided to go down the stairs when she noticed at the kitchen table, sat Song Rui, Yang Rei, and the twins silently eating lunch. Song Rui tried to speak with the twins, but they weren’t responsive as they knew what he was trying to do with Song Ren. Qian Meigui decided to join them since they noticed her presence; there was no way of escaping now.
When Qian Meigui sat down, the twins had finished their meal and silently left. Qian Meigui grabbed a plate and began to place her food on it, when she heard Song Rui say, “I heard you’ve returned to school.”
Qian Meigui’s hand froze mid-air, giving him a ‘How did you know?’ look.
“I keep watch of each of you,” he clarified. Qian Meigui continued to set her food when he sized her up. “Law is it?” he continued bluntly.
Qian Meigui swallowed hard, but she faced him head-on. “Yes,” she said boldly, without trying to quiver.
“Hmm,” he thought out loud. “Just like your father?” he asked her. Qian Meigui nodded.
“Fine,” he began, “I will let you study law, but solely on the condition that you only work for Song Corporation and no one else. Do not poke into other people’s business; it’s not good to anyone if you do so.”
Qian Meigui clenched her fingers around the spoon she held. She understood him, but she would defy him for Su Feng and Song Ren even though he raised her for half of her life.
In the end, Qian Meigui realized that family are people that support and care about each other, not necessarily bound by blood. If Song Rui had been a more present figure, then perhaps she would have considered him a father. But he chose power and greed over his own family.
Yang Rei was silent the entire time; although her face appeared to be troubled. Qian Meigui rose from her seat, suddenly losing her appetite. As she began to leave, Song Rui reminded her, “I look out for you, Mei, because I promised your parent’s.”
Qian Meigui paused, turning her heel slightly, facing him. She bowed out of respect, “Thank you,” she said with an ungenuine tone before she continued to walk away.
Qian Meigui left the house, hopping into her convertible, hoping that Song Sheng was at his apartment. She drove and walked into the building, where she was let in by the receptionist. Using her spare key card, Qian Meigui had access to his suite. She walked in, and the entire level was silent; she then decided to wait for him as he may have been at work.
Qian Meigui began to read and observe the files Su Feng sent her on her phone. Hours passed, and she felt sleepy, so she closed her eyes and rested on his couch.
The sun appeared to be blinding through Song Sheng’s glass windows. Qian Meigui opened her blurry eyes, stunned, realizing that Song Sheng was sleeping right in front of her face. Based on their position, Qian Meigui was lying sideways, and he did the same, but he wrapped her body between his arms.
Qian Meigui flushed. She didn’t want to wake him; his warm greeting enticed her. She held onto him tighter, pressing their bodies together, breathing in his scent. Because of their lack of space, Qian Meigui wrapped one of her legs around his waist. She sighed in satisfaction, leaning into him more comfortably until she suddenly heard a low grunt. Qian Meigui stilled.
She glanced over at Song Sheng, who was already staring at her intensely, motionless. His gaze was deep, hungry, and predatory for her. Within a moment, she felt something hard against her thighs, and she blushed instantly. Song Sheng also appeared to be fl.u.s.tered due to his slightly red cheeks and unfulfilled desires.
Qian Meigui knew it hurt him, but she wanted to wait. She had to explore their relationship further to understand the consequences they may face. It would be a secret, but would he accept that? Could they genuinely hide their relationship from the world? Song Sheng is nearly famous. When he gets older, and people question his love life, what could he say?
Qian Meigui frowned, but Song Sheng picked up on her worries and anxieties. He then flipped her underneath him, leaning in to kiss her on the cheek. His kisses lingered onto her chin to her jaw, to the edge of her lips.
He kissed her temple and forehead, assuring her that they were right here, right now, in each other’s embrace. Together, they will face everything to the end in the battle to fight for love.
Qian Meigui couldn’t take his sweet kisses anymore, wanting something that was more ravishing. She pulled him in for a kiss on the lips, deepening it. They kissed long and hard, exchanging saliva and sounds they’ve never heard before.
They kissed slowly and deeply, puckering each other’s mouths to taste each other fully. Qian Meigui held onto the wings of his shoulder blades as he laid on top of her while holding her face. After half an hour of kissing, they parted.
“Stay,” he told her. Qian Meigui was afraid because Song Rui wouldn’t know where she had gone. But by the way, Song Sheng sounded gentle, desperate even; she caved in.
They didn’t do anything that night. But she joined him in bed, embracing each other as they couldn’t let go until they fell asleep.
