DC Anime System - Chapter 19

A/N: It’s been so long since I wrote (talking bout 2 months break) that I forgot a lot of the plot points. I need to go back and read my own novel lol.

I sorted out everything I needed to with all the staying scientist and technicians. I uploaded all necessary scientific knowledge and all the mandatory information about every usable piece of pieces of equipment into their minds.

They will all start working in a month. By that time all the construction for the other facilities should be complete as well.

As everyone was leaving Edna Luthor called out to me. It’s pretty weird considering everything.

First, she is a Luthor and Superman always goes on about “never met a Luthor he could trust” but I am not going to judge a person just based on their name when I don’t even know anything about them

Second, she is a female scientist and in this era, they are very scarce but that could be explained by the backing she has behind her name.

She came up to me with a bright smile saying, “Mr. Dante. Can I have a word with you?”

I’m curious though, where could this be going? Maybe she could be as wretched if not more than her descendant Lex Luthor or maybe she is a decently okay person. Maybe she is in a gray area.

“Please if you want me to call you Edna then call me Krius,” I reply back with the same kind of smile.

“All right Krius then. Do you mind if I invite you for dinner?”

So dinner huh? Is this a genuine dinner or something else? Well whatever, I will go along with it.

“Hmmm, Shouldn’t I be the one asking such a beautiful lady out to dinner?” I ask with curiosity in my eyes.

“Then how about next you be the one to invite me.” With a mischievous smile, she answers.

“Next time? I see, then next time I will definitely be the one to ask you out.” I say with a grin.

She answered while covering her mouth and giggling, “How about we settle the first time for now? So will you? I actually want to talk to you about everything you are doing here. My family is a really big name in the world of science so I would like to talk about a joint partnership maybe?”

“Well, then how could I refuse an invitation from someone beautiful as you? Just say when and where.”

“Thank you for agreeing. Here this is the address. How about next Saturday?” She hands me a piece of paper with the address written on it while not taking my compliment seriously.

“No problem, I wouldn’t miss it.” I took the piece of paper from her and glanced over it before putting it in my pocket.

“I should get going then. It has already been very long.” She says while turning to leave.

“Then allow me to see you out.”

“No no, it is all right. I wouldn’t want to trouble you.” She tries to refuse my offer nodding her head.

“That’s okay, I don’t mind.” I insist upon it so she gives up quickly.

I escort Edna out of the facility and say our goodbyes. I know messing with Lex Luthor’s ancestor isn’t a very good idea but I’m actually very curious as to what can actually happen. This is messing with history and initially I didn’t want to but maybe I can change it for the better while still controlling the outcomes.

For now, I just wanna go home. I’m mentally exhausted from doing all this. I have to take Diana back to Themyscara the day after tomorrow. Imma goes and gets some sleep.

● – A day later – Themyscara – ○

“So you finally decided to remember us.”

I teleported directly to the throne room in Themyscara where Hippolyta was sitting on her majestic throne. At this time there was no one else besides her and us in the room.

She wasn’t even surprised to see us appear and fired off that sarcastic remark.

“Mother!!” Diana being astounded runs up to Hippolyta as she gets up from her throne and walks down. They both embrace each other in a hug for a while until finally separating.

“Have you been well?” Hippolyta asks as she caresses Diana’s face.

“Don’t worry Mother, nothing happened. It has been really fun in the outside world.” Diana says placing her hand on top of Hippolyta’s.

“Then you will have to tell me all about it later. For now, go and get refreshed. I want to have a word with Krius here.” Hippolyta tells Diana seriously.

Diana doesn’t say anything and nods before going away. Hippolyta slowly turns to look at me with cold eyes. I stare back at her with an anime style closed eyes smile.

We continue staring at each other for 5 minutes straight before she “Hmph” -ed and walked out of the throne room.

‘Tsundere much?’

I followed after her as she walked out of the room to her bedroom. After I came in she immediately went to close the door.

As she was turning around I pulled her hand towards me making her face come very close to me. I didn’t wait for her reaction and immediately kissed her lips.

She was a bit taken aback but eventually gave in. We continued for a while before separating.

“Are you angry?” I asked with a fake sad face.

“What do you believe?” She asked sarcastically.

“I believe that even if you are angry I can make you really happy really soon,” I replied with a mischievous grin.

“Tell me what happened with Diana.” She said ignoring my obvious implication and furrowing her brows.

“Oh, nothing much. We mostly went to various cities to look around. I built a mansion to live in and some other minor businesses.” I say carefreelly.

“A mansion? Are you gonna live there?” Hippolyta says with a hint of worry in her eyes. She tries to hide it but it was noticeable to me.

“Yeah, do you want to see it?” I really wanted to show her how the mansion looked like. She really hasn’t seen a lot of things from the outside world so she is very narrow-minded. I want her to see a much of that world as Diana through my mansion is not really a good example of this era.

“What?” She didn’t expect my question and was startled. Before she could react I grabbed her hand and teleported to the mansion.
