Dear Eddert - Chapter 9
“Are you… really Eden?”
Among those who could not speak easily, a slender man standing next to Walter broke the silence and opened his mouth. He was a very handsome man with gray-blonde hair, but his eyes were cold. He was probably the oldest of the group, exuding an atmosphere that was not easily approachable.
“Can’t you see with your own eyes?”
“Walter, I asked Eden.”
Walter took a step closer to the gray-haired man who was raising his eyebrows.
“It’s not too late to check later, Cedric. For now, it is important to move Eden to a safe place as much as possible.”
The gray haired man called Cedric gave Hyemi a cold look again.
“Eden, how are you feeling?”
Eden.
Both Benedict and Walter called her by the same name. The gazes of those lining up and watching her was as cold as a blade. It’s like being a sample in a laboratory.
She had a foreboding that something bad was going to happen if she spoke the wrong words here. Hyemi opened her mouth as naturally as possible as she swept her soft neck.
“It’s not bad. I’m in good condition.”
The moment she answered, the twenty pairs of eyes narrowed in an instant and looked at her and Cedric alternately. To put it a little exaggeratedly, the sound of the eyeballs spinning was audible.
… what did she do wrong?
Feeling the tension flowing through the room in an instant, Hyemi swallowed a gulp. She smiled vaguely, remembering the old saying that you can’t spit on a smiling face.
“Except for the fact that I can’t remember what happened…Everything is fine.”
Cedric’s gray eyebrows gathered between his forehead and twitched. It was just a bad sign.
“Is this Eden?”
The cold voice grew even colder. When the man’s hostility was felt in her body, Hyemi panicked.
“That… what I mean… .”
“Cedric. Eden is in a confused state right now… !”
It was when Walter took a step forward instead of her stuttering, unable to answer properly.
Swish.
Cedric’s sword cut through the air without a sound. From drawing the sword to swinging it, it was an attack that occurred in the blink of an eye.
“… Cedric!”
A white goose feather flew over Walter’s head, who shouted wildly. The long sword that had cut the pillow in Eden’s place in half made a soft scratching sound and disappeared into the sheath. Cedric muttered to himself lowly.
“I guess it’s the same person.”
Hyemi widened her eyes and looked down at her feet, gasping for breath.
Nonsense.
Her body reacted spontaneously. After the bed, she jumped out to the small window just below the high ceiling. It’s like flying without seeing it with her own eyes.
Unless the human body was a spring, it was impossible to leap beyond her height. There weren’t many things she was good at from the beginning, but she could say that sports weren’t the absolute best.
“Even if you lose your memory, you will not be able to forget the reaction of your body that has been trained for decades.”
Cedric gave a glance at her and murmured coldly.
“What the hell are you doing?”
Walter breathed heavily through his teeth. A thick vein stood on his neck, unable to contain his anger.
“Do you know what you are doing now? You made a mistake once, but I will not forgive you twice.”
Murderous energy was overflowing in his scorching dark brown eyes. He wasn’t joking now.
“If you draw your sword in front of Eden once again, I will cut you down as the head of Sernotti according to the rules.”
“Walter.”
“What is the reason for our existence when you’re crying out so much? Do you mean we can have dogs as our lords?”
“I know your heart, but now she doesn’t remember anything.”
Cedric opened his mouth in a hard tone, hiding his complicated mind. Everyone in the room knew how Walter must have felt when he stood by Eden, who was brutally murdered. But after opening her eyes, it was difficult to accept her, who had become a completely different person.
“Well… I’m sorry.”
Cedric raised his head with a confused expression at the voice from the window. Eden never showed any respect to him in his lifetime. At least it was clear she had lost all her memories.
“What?”
“Be, Benedict….”
Everyone’s attention was focused on Hyemi, who made a crawling voice. Hyemi clenched and opened her fists. When she looked up, all twenty men had a sword next to them. What the hell are these people… what are they doing? Hyemi struggled to raise her voice, which was getting smaller and smaller due to the tension.
“Please let me meet Benedict.”
It was her survival instinct that the silver-haired crazy man flashed in her mind. If he had moved her cell phone without lifting his hand, he might be able to bring her back home safely. Perhaps he was the starting point of everything.
“… He’s not the kind of person anyone can meet.”
Cedric looked straight at her and opened his mouth as if to test her.
“But he told me to come find him.”
“Why?”
Hyemi stuttered her words as she tried not to keep her eyes on the hand that touched the sheath.
“When, when I need help, come find him….”
“What help.”
What else did he say? Hyemi desperately traced her memory before he could draw his sword again.
“He… He said he would be waiting for me in the brightest place.”
“… Do you still think she’s not Eden? Do you really not know where Benedict means ‘there’?”
Walter frowned, but Cedric could not completely dispel his suspicions.
“If it’s Eden, it’s normal to deny it. The guy who hated that fact more than anyone else. You… know best.”
Cedric cast a complex gray gaze at Walter. When Valtri first revealed the past that she had been hiding for so long, he remembered how Eden reacted to everyone in the room. She would forget that she was the princess. And everyone agreed to that fact.
