Dear Young Master Spare Me Please? - 229 Intuition
the room has been quiet for a while now and none of the two persons who were sitting across each other wanted to talk.
han mingxia already formed her resolve when she was in the toilet room and now that she’s facing this annoying man, she more or less was already composed.
liu zilong who was solemnly observing the woman as he was organizing his thoughts, was also hoping to get a favorable answer.
“miss fu, about what i asked you earlier…”
“i’ll answer your question. in exchange, tell me where my grandma is.” han mingxia interrupted him and coldly looked at him briefly.
“that depends.” liu zilong answer.
in truth, he has no idea where granny ling is. but he needed to make a deal with this woman. otherwise, he might lose his chance.
for the almost infinity times, han mingxia controlled her temper. today might not really a good day for her. the answer she heard was indeed infuriating.
she tightly closed her eyes and for a good few minutes she tried to calm herself.
“i am fu meng lian.” han mingxia quickly answered without lifting her gaze at it was focused on the warm drink graciously located on the coffee table.
“don’t you think it’s a bit rude not to look at the person you’re talking to?” liu zilong commented, feeling a bit displeased as he really wanted to read her eyes but the woman was clearly avoiding him.
han mingxia inhaled deeply before she finally looked nonchalantly at the man in front of her.
she was telling herself to calm down. she took the cup and stared at the mist coming out of it when she heard the man spoke again.
“let’s cut the chase miss fu. i’m not asking about the identity of your disguise, i am asking, ‘who.are.you.’ i know you understand what i mean.”
“i am 92.”
in all honesty, they are not allowed to give their ‘names’ to those who weren’t their client. but in her current situation, han mingxia knew she couldn’t avoid telling him her ‘name.’
she was just hoping that liu zilong wouldn’t really ‘report’ her. besides, this young master wouldn’t get any benefit from doing so.
“that’s a code.”
“first young master liu, in our organization we only have this kind of name.”
liu zilong nodded. although he was expecting a more personal name, he could only accept. giving him her code was already a big no-no, thus he didn’t press further.
what she said was definitely true.
“few moths ago, i encountered some special kind of situation. i was in the wrong place at the wrong time. but i got lucky few seconds before my untimely possible death. do you know why?”
han mingxia’s brows knitted together as she looked at him. her heart started to pound restlessly. his eyes were too deep as if trying to peek into her very soul. using the steamed coming out from the cup she tried to hide the surging emotions reflected on her eyes.
while her eyes were lowered, she took a small sip and pretended to enjoy the tea. unlike han meixiu, she’s not too fond of it.
liu zilong purposely delayed his next statement to see if there could be a reaction from the woman. feeling a bit dissatisfied as he couldn’t peek properly, he even leaned closer.
han mingxia suddenly moved to the opposite direction looking to be extremely on guard.
“first young master liu, please respect my personal space!” she exclaimed almost spilling the tea on her hand.
liu zilong amusingly smiled as he returned back on his seat. he returned to his usual demeanor as if the smile was just an illusion.
“i will trouble miss 92 to help me find the person who saved me that night.”
han mingxia who didn’t recover herself yet from the earlier ‘intrusion’ exclaimed again.
“what?!?”
liu zilong chuckled. he really doubted if the woman was part of black.com. for an organization like the latter, her character was somewhat considered flawed. a distant memory of someone pretending to be a spy suddenly flashed. but before he could ponder on that the woman in front of him spoke.
unlike earlier, she was already composed.
“first young master liu, why do you need to find the person?”
“i have my personal reasons.”
“then i have to apologize since i can’t help first young master liu.”
“you never even heard the entire details yet and you already declined?”
“how can first young master liu be sure that an insignificant person like me can help you?”
“zilong. you can call me zilong. the person who spared me that night ended up dead after couple of days. maybe you couldn’t understand the guilt that was eating me up as i failed to save the one who saved me.”
“just blame the heavens for being unfair.” han mingxia muttered.
liu zilong shook his head. “i simply don’t believe the one who saved me and the one who died were the same person.”
“why is that?”
“intuition.”
with han mingxia’s shocked reaction, she asked doubtfully. “that’s it?”
both herself and red were extremely meticulous in that mission to they wouldn’t leave any evidence while this man doubted their work simply because of this?
“is miss 92, expecting some more profound reason?”
han mingxia slightly shook her head. “no. it’s not like that. i was simply surprise by a baseless reason.”
“baseless? miss 92, my intuition isn’t something that should be ridiculed. it’s simply trustworthy. you might be surprised that from listening to my intuition, i came to a conclusion that those people were black.com’s.”
a sudden chill crept on han mingxia’s back. it took her while before she was able to answer his comment.
“zilong, even if it’s black.com’s people, there’s no way i would know who were those people. aside from the fact that the organization seldom operates outside the country, details of the missions are absolutely confidential. thus, for someone like me, i really don’t have any idea who is the person you’re looking for. i even don’t know the total number of black.com’s people, how would i know their missions?”

“but my intuition is saying otherwise.” liu zilong answered as his lips was slightly curled up.
‘that [email protected] intuition again!’ han mingxia cursed inside. “zilong, i am afraid i really can’t help you. why don’t you just forget about it? if you were saved, then just be thankful. no need to ask some help from a powerless person like me.”
“miss 92, do you want to hear what my intuition is telling me.”
han mingxia wanted to answer an absolute ‘no’. but she chose to kept her mouth shut.
“it’s telling me that you know this person. perhaps she’s someone you know? or perhaps…”
han mingxia’s heart was in chaos. she really hated this day. nothing happened properly to her today. she already failed as a granddaughter of granny ling and now, she’s getting to be discovered.
she even though that it was a mistake to let him live, but if the situation would happen again, she would still do the same.
“zilong, you might do more harm than good to that person if you will insist in finding her.”
“so, that’s why you don’t want to admit it.” liu zilong nonchalantly said as he sounded that he finally accepting to drop the subject.
“yes.” han mingxia quickly answered. she was thinking to end the conversation as soon as possible failing to realize the effect of her own answer.
the moment her own answer registered on her own brain, she halted her breath and nervously looked at the man. her eyes widened as she was surprised with his reaction.
that was her biggest mistake. the final cover that was blown out.
he saw him subtly smile. a warm and genuine one.
it was more than enough for her entire being to be enthralled. her mind shouted.
‘i’m doomed!’
