Dear Young Master Spare Me Please? - 243 Visitors
the couple promised that they will invite everyone on their 100th day. since it was the case, madam liu insisted for the event to be handled by her.
few days before the celebration, the couple received a visitor in the middle of the night. it was actually the second time around.
liu zijian was already sleeping and han meixiu was going back to their room when a guard informed her that she has a visitor.
if the guard personally inform her, then it meant the person was someone she knew.
“give him the phone.” han meixiu ordered in a firm voice. in her heart she already had an idea who would it be.
not too long after she heard a low voice of a man. “it’s me.”
han meixiu sighed as she permitted the man’s entry. she was right. the visitor was her father.
in a few minutes, a middle aged man was escorted inside the living room.
“you’re visiting time is too late for today and too early for tomorrow, father.” han meixiu said as she glanced quickly at the wall clock.
“since i can’t attend the twins 100th day, i must at least visit them before that.” han yun xiang answered.
“they’re sleeping now.” han meixiu sighed as she informed the man in front of her. two days ago, it was her mother who paid them a visit and also during the time when the entire country was sleeping.
even though her parents were no longer together, they still thought the same way.
“i see.” han yun xiang answered. he expected as much. “then, i’ll just live my gifts…” he continued and placed the carefully packed boxes on the coffee table.
both the father and daughter stopped talking after they heard a set of footsteps.
“father in law.” liu zijian greeted the man.
han yun xiang wasn’t able to respond as he was stuck with the image he was seeing.
the second young master liu was carrying a baby as if it was a natural thing to do. he didn’t look like he was having a hard time at all.
of course, han yun xiang didn’t know how many times liu zijian practiced holding a bunch of clothes first before finally getting a good grip about holding a baby comfortably.
the sight of liu zijian holding a baby wrapped in pink clothes made him reminisce the time he first held his daughter. he was scared of hurting him that he didn’t even dare to breath. zhang huiling was laughing at him as her hands were still somewhat supporting his arms.
“she woke up?” han meixiu stood up and walked towards liu zijian. seeing that the baby was wearing pink, she knew it was the little princess, liu xiurong.
liu zijian simply nodded. “little yu also woke up.” he continued.
the twins would normally influence each other. if one wakes up, the other one will soon follow. but compared to little rong, the little prince liu jianyu was more quiet.
han meixiu quickly went inside their room to get the little prince.
“father in law, do you want to hold her?” liu zijian asked after seeing han yun xiang dazed off.
liu zijian voice made han yun xiang back to reality. with a moistened eyes, he came closer. “she’s…so.. cute… just like our meixiu back then…”
“her name is liu xiu rong.” the young man said as he carefully transfer the baby on the older man’s arms.
the tiny angel didn’t threw a tantrum as she was moved from one embrace to another. after a couple of yawn, she went back to sleep.
“she wasn’t hungry?” han yun xiang was surprised as he asked the younger man beside him. didn’t babies normally wake up when their hungry?
“she probably felt her mother wasn’t around thus she woke up.” liu zijian answered.
liu zijian and han meixiu’s bed that was originally too big for the two of them as they would always sleep cuddling each other, became a bit crowded after the twin was born.
normally, they planned to let them sleep in the nursery just beside their room, but han meixiu insisted to let the two sleep on their bed so it would be easier to see them if ever they needed something.
the two were then pushed to the outermost part of the bed. the twins were surrounded with pillows and the little space left near the edge of the bed in its opposite side became the couple’s sleeping space. find authorized novels in webnovel, faster updates, better experience, please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.
han meixiu came in after a while, holding little yu.
han yun xiang looked at the wide awake little prince on his mother’s embrace.
“my grandkids…” han yun xiang murmured as he smiled gently. looking at the little angels.
if the people who knew h in the past would see him this moment, they would never believe he’s the same person. it was just too contradicting.
*
it was almost 3 in the morning when han yun xiang left. by the time the sun shone above the sky, everything went back to normal. it was as if they didn’t receive any visitors the night before.
just why did the han meixiu want the twins to sleep with them?
simply because during the day, the twins were being taken care of the older liu couple as they made liu zijian and han meixiu’s house their second home.
after the older liu couple leave, the two old ladies known as aunt ni ni and aunt jing, would not let the twins out of their sight.
in the end, the two would be able to take a good rest during the day and their duty would only be during the night.
originally, madam liu wanted to live with them but mr. liu told her to let liu zijian and han meixiu to enjoy their time as new parents.the older woman could only agree. but then again, their time being parents would only be during the night.
the visit of han yun xiang was of course reported to zhang huiling.
after receiving the report she snorted and spat out the word ‘copycat!’
for zhang huiling, han yun xiang probably knew she visited during those time and found it more convenient, thus he copied her strategy.
since she was in a good mood recently, after letting a few bad words, she picked up her coat and called bo lin.
she decided to visit a certain someone.
the moment she entered the room, she heard a resigned voice from a man leaning on the wall near an open window.
unlike the previous times she visited, the man was in a decent state and not on the edge of life and death.
“why did you stop torturing me? i still haven’t ask for my death.” the man said in a flat voice with a hint of anger.
zhang huiling chuckled and took a liberty to sat on the chair nearby.
“i think you’re misunderstanding me,.. third young master chen…”
there was no response from the other person. he didn’t even look at her. his gaze was still on the busy street outside. for him, the scene that he’s seeing was like a dream of the distant past. it was surreal.
“ah, i forgot, you’re no longer a young master since chen dewei is already dead. who are you then?” zhang huiling asked while smiling.
the man finally looked at the older woman. the face was still the familiar madam bai he remembered. but now, he already knew her identity. he wondered if he didn’t meet this person, would he be in a different situation?
he retracted his gaze. he wanted to resign to his unfair destiny. he wanted to end it all. but when he was about to give up, those torturous days suddenly stopped.
was it just like before? giving him another hope then slumping him back to hell?
“what more do you want?” he asked in a resigned voice.
“you sounded as if i betrayed you. can’t you see, i did the end part of our deal. i did help you, didn’t i?”
chen dewei subconsciously touched the scars that were still visible on his arms. “this is what you call help…i see…”
zhang huiling sighed as she stood up and placed her both hands at her back.
“i helped you to see the reality. i helped you to stop dreaming for something you shouldn’t have. i helped you to wake up from an illusion you created since you were young. without me, you will continue to that path of destruction. i am actually being generous.” zhang huiling continued with a slight smile hanging on her lips.
her eyes were sharply looking at the man even though she was supposed to be smiling.
chen dewei felt a cold streak of air crawled on his back. those words made him confused for a time. but after realizing what she really meant, he couldn’t help but shiver. there was a hidden threat in her words.
“you saved me just to show me what is reality? now that i’m already awake, what do you want to do with me?”
“you are really naive. if it were me, i would not waste my time saving you. i would let you burn on that place since you chose to perish with your obsession.” zhang huiling answered tilting her head to the side as she walked in a slower pace around the room as if she’s inspecting the place.
“you didn’t save me?” chen dewei questioningly looked at the woman.
zhang huiling only smiled deeper and a flashed of light crossed her eyes.
“what do you think?”
the man’s expression changed several times. there was confusion, bewilderment, pain and even desperation?
“where is she?”
“why do you want to see her?”
indeed, why?
“i..just…” chen dewei didn’t know but for the first time, he didn’t know what he would say.
“time’s up. i’ll come again when you have a final answer.”
after the door closed, the man’s fist tightened.
“fool!”
