Dear Young Master Spare Me Please? - 245 The Last Order
the following day, chen dewei was already ready by the time madam bai called him out.
though he looked fine, the trace of sleepless night was evident on his face. the man wasn’t able to sleep a wink the night before.
the video he watched where he was carried painstakingly despite the given situation was hunting his mind the entire night. nobody talked while the two were walking along the silent corridor.
in reality, chen dewei was actually reluctant to see the woman but at the same time he was eager. that kind of conflicted feeling was continuously agonizing his mind as he walked a step behind madam bai.
when they finally reached a certain area where few people were busying themselves walking around, madam bai stopped.
“wait here for a while.” the older woman said before taking out a certain form of communicator that was similar to an old model cellphone. it was small and gray in color.
chen dewei heard her murmured some words but he wasn’t really paying much attention as he was calming himself.
in a few minutes, a woman wearing a white coat walked towards them. there was a slight surprise on his face but it was clearly wiped out in a split second.
“follow her.” madam bai said and turned around. she still needed to check something in the area thus she let doctor su escort chen dewei.
“you finally come, huh.” doctor su said with a hint of anger. she’s been asking for him to visit han meili from madam bai but few months had already passed, she still didn’t get any positive response.
she just got tired of asking and tried her best to stabilize the woman’s condition.
now that she’s doing pretty much okay, she was suddenly informed about the visit?
of course, she felt it was too late. but it was still better late than never.besides, she really couldn’t let out her grievances towards madam bai. she still needed her little life.
now that the man was here, she couldn’t control her mouth. she just found someone to vent out her pent up anger for the past months.
however, the man didn’t utter a single word until they arrived in front of the door. doctor su instructed chen dewei to wear a certain suit in order not to contaminate the room where han meili was recuperating.
she also didn’t forget to sarcastically give him side comments.
but again, she didn’t get a satisfying reaction.
“look closely how she’s suffering because of her foolishness to save you.” doctor su grudgingly said in an accusing voice before she closed the door as she went out.
after the door tightly closed, chen dewei didn’t move an inch. in contrast to what doctor su believed, he actually heard all her words. each words were like a knife slicing his heart and eating him up slowly. he didn’t want to see but he wanted to also embed the image of the woman who selflessly saved him. this was the reality. someone who would tangle herself to him would end up like this. if not dead, almost dead. after convincing himself to face his punishment, he slowly walked step by step towards the woman who was attached to multiple medical apparatus. every step was like a big struggle for him. there seemed to be a heavy stone pressing on his chest.
although his steps were stable his mind wasn’t.
he never looked at a woman in a soft gaze except for the woman he longed for and considered his light.
but now, it was evident that the woman lying in the bed still wrapped with gauzes received this kind of gaze. unfortunately, she was sleeping or probably unconscious.
*
doctor su who was slightly peeking behind the glass of the door was observing the man intently.
‘did his conscience finally found its voice?’
she really hoped it’s the case and the and wasn’t planning a harmful act to the patient she’s been taking care of. otherwise, she really didn’t know what she would do.
when she thought that the man would just continue standing, she saw him…
bend over!
doctor su became fully alert!
she wanted to barge in immediately but was again surprised when she saw chen dewei kneel?!?!?!
she even rubbed her eyes several times.
based from her angle she couldn’t see the man’s expression but she could more or less guess what his hands were doing.
‘holding her?’
doctor su snorted. find authorized novels in webnovel, faster updates, better experience, please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.
‘if she wouldn’t be almost dead he wouldn’t hold her?’
‘what’s the point?’
she was still mulling over when she heard the door opened. it made her startled for a quick second before regaining her senses.
when doctor su looked at the man she was again shocked.
‘is this person really the third young master chen?’
‘did he just cry?’
‘why were his eyes showed too much pain and agony?’
‘wasn’t he always arrogant and calculative?’
doctor could still accept the man’s physical changes at he might also suffered from that fire but his temperament was something that seemed unacceptable for her.
her memories drifted back to the first time she saw him.
she would be lying if she would say she wasn’t attracted to him. but after couple of interactions, she became more and more cautious as she could somewhat feel the dangerous aira around him despite the fact that he would always smile.
but now, where was that aura?
her eyes followed the man as he walked away from her. it seemed that he was saying something.
‘what was it?’
doctor su tried to remember his words but she could only recall the word ‘help’.
in the middle of trying to recall what the man said, someone shook her slightly.
“doctor su!”
“doctor su!”
“the patient wakes up!”
the door of the room was already slightly opened and the nurse was tugging her coat and shaking her arm gently.
doctor su immediately went inside. she knew that her patient could actually wake up but never when she was around.
but now, she actually opened her eyes even though she was still here.
“you can leave us.” doctor su said to the nurse and the former went out of the room.
after retracting her gaze from the door she sighed and looked at the woman who was fully awake.
“you finally decided to ‘wake up.’”
the woman didn’t answer. the voice of the man who visited her still lingered on her ears. his warm touched and gentle kiss were still remained on those part of her body.
“do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?” doctor su continued.
han meili inhaled deeply before she answered in a coarse and soft voice.
“please remove these bandages. they’re not necessary.”
in all honesty, she didn’t have any open wounds anywmore. her wounds from the fire were healed a long time ago. the only remained were those burned scar. docotr su has been convincing her to undergone another surgery to correct those areas but she never answered.
when the dontor informed her that chen dewei might visit, she didn’t believe it.
but she would be lying if she a tiny bit of hope didn’t really lit up.
she was actually thankful when doctor su wrapped her again in bandages. she understood what the doctor wanted to portray.
“he might come back.” doctor su answered.
“he won’t see me again. he already gave his last order. aren’t you going to help me?”
“what was his last order?” doctor su asked. it was probably what the man told her earlier.
“live a new life. forget him.” han meili answered. the white ceiling above was being stared at indefinitely as if she was seeing someone painted in there. she really wanted to cry but surprisingly, her emotion was not fluctuating at all.
“if that’s the case, we should start as soon as possible. when do you want to start your rehabilitation?” doctor asked as she started to remove the bandages.
“tomorrow.”
“alright. but arrangng your new identity would take a while.”
“how long do i need to fully recover?”
“depends on you actually. it can be few months or few years.”
as the two continued to plan han meili’s rehabilitation, chen dewei searched for madam bai.
after an hour he found himself waiting in a secluded room.
when the woman came in, he didn’t lift his head.
“what is it? are you done packing your things?”
“i want to have a deal with you.” the man answered and looked stright at the woman in front of him.
“i’m listening.” the woman answered and flash of light passed through her eyes without anyone noticing.
“give han meili a new identity.”
“that’s my plan. i need more man power anyway.”
“no. give her a new identity and freedom. take me instead. i am more valuable compared to her.”
the corner of madam bai’s lips curved up. of course, chen dewei would be more useful compared to the woman.
when the woman didn’t answer, chen dewei continued.
“there’s an underground laboratory complete with medical equipments that…”
the smile on the woman’s lips became evident.
“this is a good deal.”
