Death : Mystery Unsolved - Chapter 63

Saheeda, who suffered the huge loss out of this incident, ended up shouting again: “ What on the earth are you doing! At least lend me your hand. How am I supposed to get up?”

As for a certain person, who was blushing profusely out of this sudden turn of events, couldn’t help but with great difficulty extended his hand.

With little difficulty,she finally got up from the ground. As for Zunaid, he just stares at a certain angry Wolf, without knowing what to do or say.

He was just leaning on the door case. How come … it turned into something like this, out of the blue.

“ A- Are you alright?” he asked in concern. She glared at him but then nodded.

Around 5 PM, she finally descended the staircase, which eased the two so called sworn- enemies of her a little.

She made her way to the Main Sofa; where Kai was sitting leisurely sipping the tea; while Riya was standing by his side.

Saheeda sat on another sofa; while Zunaid, who definitely didn’t give a damn to his senior-junior relationship, sat next to her. And, she just turned a blind eye, too.

She was staring at the tea cup, which Kai was holding just like a child stared at Candy. After watching Saheeda’s gaze, Riya served her a cup too.

And just like a child, who got his favourite candy, she too , was all smiles. She took one gulp of tea and before she could swallow it, Zunaid asked ,out of the blue : “ What happened, yesternight, My Lady?”

Saheeda, who had just drank a gulp, ended up spitting out the tea on Kai and the table, while a little bit of it got stuck in her throat, making her choke on it.

She started coughing profusely. Well ,her words got stuck in her very throat. And all that she could do in her current situation was cough, cough and cough. Riya, who knew about Kai, brought the cleaning cloth and cleaned the table.

But Kai was so focused on Saheeda, that he didn’t even notice that this very girl spew her tea on him and the table. And that,he needs to clean it sooner.

Zunaid just wanted to know, but when he saw her choking on tea, he got his answer, that something happened yesternight. But still her coughing didn’t stop. So, he ended up patting her back. But, it seems completely futile.

While Saheeda was busy, coughing to death . She saw a glass of water appear in front of her.Without even thinking further, she snatched the glass and drank it all in one gulp.

After breathing for a few minutes( inhaling and exhaling), she finally found the balance. And she finally gets back to normal, from her excited, chaotic state.

Only then she raised her head to see, the owner of the glass was none other than Kai… Her sworn- mortal Enemy.

But, before she could thank him. He just smirked at her. And all her feelings of gratitude, ran out of the window.

After all, he doesn’t have to poke her like that, in this situation, right!!

Fine, if he is stubborn, then she is shameless too. And she glared back at Zunaid, who had asked her this death granting question.

Zunaid, just lowered his head a little. But his eyes were still searching for an answer. And, she just sighed in frustration. That’s what you get, when you try to get along with your junior. Now, she has to answer her junior.

“Ahem.. Ahem.. Zunaid. The thing is that… It’s been a little long time. Since, I went out of the house. So, I just went to get some fresh air.” K replied.

“Where?” Zunaid asked, not caring to beat around the bush. His tone was utmost serious. Deadly serious. As if one wrong word from her, and this beast will swallow her whole.

Saheeda felt the chills of terror, running through her body, all no-thanks to this little pup. Damn, whether it’s his husky voice to blame, or the momentum it carries in it.

But, when he stops being cute, then the World feels great loss.

“Umm… Nearby shop.” She lied.

“ Shop? Where is it?” He inquired. Fine, Saheeda could do from anything to everything , what lying definitely wasn’t one of them.

As Riya, Zunaid and Kai could clearly tell that she was lying, just by the guilty, pitiful expression on her face. The way her eyes weren’t leaving the ground.

The way she was fidgeting with her fingers. The way, her forehead was covered with the beads of sweat, despite the cool, breezing environment.

Kai really wanted to smack his head after watching this melo-drama. Just why not admit the fact.

“ Umm… nearby the market!” She replied, more in a confused and questioning tone. After all, she wasn’t sure where this non-existence shop was. Or if there’s any market nearby or not.

Damn! It’s Zunaid’s department, not her.

“ SAHEEDA!!!” And the ever calm, cute and sweet pup, Zunaid snapped out.

“ I went to the bar, to party. I am sorry, Please don’t inform Murshid or anyone. Please. And please, don’t be mad at me.” And Saheeda spit out all the sentences in single breath.

Kai thought, maybe now, Zunaid would calm down, after hearing her confession. But, Zunaid’s expression were turning more darker than the bottom of the pot.

After what seems like an eternity, he asked in a grave serious voice; “ You didn’t drink. Did you?”

And Saheeda, started staring at the floor again. After getting her guts, her courage,she replied like a guilty child. “ Little bit.”

While touching the tip of her thumb and index finger together, showing how little, her little bit was.

Zunaid, who already was on the verge of exploding out, from anger, asked irritatedly; “ How little, is your ‘this little bit’?” While imitating the finger gesture of her, at the same time.

“ Just one glass.” Saheeda replied, with watery eyes.

And Zunaid actually did what Kai always dreamt of. He actually smacked his forehead so hard, right in front of 3 pairs of eyes, that both Saheeda and Riya flinched at the sound.

Kai, the most observant one of the group, could tell that, something was wrong and off.. But, what it exactly was.
