Death System - Chapter 33 Chapter 32
Watching XB11 dealing with the orcs easily, Zuyuan turned his head to Hahi with a furrowing expression, “My comrade will deal with the orcs, now shall we talk about who will go with me and guide me to the goblin’s chief?”
Seeing that the armored humanoid on the sky had decimated a group of orcs quickly, Hahi nodded with satisfaction, “Of course, missionary.”
“My grandson would go with you and guide you personally, missionary. You needn’t worry about it.”
Nodding, Zuyuan glanced back at XB11 and it was still in battle with the orcs. XB11 tore down the orcs’ rank as it flew around and dodged the hand axes the orcs threw. Bullets raining down and dozens of orcs were riddled with holes and serious injuries. Although the orcs’ body was tough and able to withstand a few bullets, the barrage of attacks made it impossible for them to fight back.
Stream of curses and groaning pain filled the area, with most orcs trying to find some cover. Now that the orcs were being held by XB11 alone, the goblins and hobgoblins retreated back to their village and treated the wounded. Their gazes at XB11 showed fear, wariness, and awe at the same time. But their wary attitude became intensified when some of them looked at Zuyuan and unconsciously took a step back.
Noticing the behavior of his clansmen to the missionary, Hahi smiled bitterly at Zuyuan and said, “Please excuse their attitude toward you, missionary. Your attack before had made them conflicted to see you as friend or foe. Their minds are still on the edge.”
“It’s alright.” raising his eyebrows at the spectacle, Zuyuan waved his hand and replied nonchalantly, “I’m used to this kind of stuff, unfortunately.”
“Oh?” Piqued at the missionary’s last word, Hahi wanted to ask more but stopped himself from doing so, “I will have my grandson to join you shortly. If you are not in a hurry, we could take some time to take a rest and eat together, missionary.”
Shaking his head, Zuyuan rejected politely, “I’m sorry, I’m in a hurry.”
“Alright then.” Nodding that it would be unwise to hold the missionary just because he hadn’t prepared him a feast whatsoever, Hahi said shortly, “If you will excuse me.”
Not waiting for Zuyuan to reply, Hahi turned his body and left for the village. Tending to his wound once more with his Qigong, Zuyuan closed his eyes and meditated again.
-“I’ve completed your order, master.”-
XB11’s voice echoed in his mind as Zuyuan opened his eyes and realized it had been awhile since he started meditating.
-“Telepathy?”- Zuyuan thought, sending the question to XB11 unconsciously.
-“Yes, Master.”- Replied XB11 as it continued, -“This method would use our soul link and thoughts in tandem together. Although it would be much more complicated to use than just an ordinary talk master.”-
“I see.” said Zuyuan out loud, using his voice this time. A few minutes later, Hahi returned to Zuyuan with his grandson, Huhe, by his side and one more hobgoblin warrior. Each of them carries a satchel filled with essential items for travel, like medicinal herbs, a waterskin and food. They also had a makeshift sleeping bag strapped to their backs.
Hahi handed Zuyuan the contents of his satchel as well as the makeshift sleeping bag, “These are for your travels, missionary.”
Zuyuan accepted the goods and placed them inside of his own bag that he had bought prior to arriving at Ragnar, the current world he was in. Gesturing to the hobgoblins in front of him, Zuyuan asked curtly, “Ready?”
Nodding with a firm gaze to Zuyuan, Huhe said, “Yes, missionary.”
“I’m ready when you ar’ ya prick!” replied the hobgoblin on Huhe’s right side with a large grin splattered on his face.
Raising his eyes at the unexpected rude comment from the hobgoblin, Hahi on the side almost wanted to keel over and urgently shouted, “You fucking rascal! What did you say! Go fucking apologize!”
“Eh? Head tis just mi way of speakin’!” The hobgoblin replied while shrugging. “I meant no disrespect of course.”
With his face flushed red as if he almost had a stroke, Hahi walked towards the hobgoblin warrior and smack him on back of his head, “Stupid rascal!”
Zuyuan waves his hand and says, “It’s alright, let the lad be. Let’s go, I have no time to waste anymore.”
“Aye thanks matey, much appreciated!” The hobgoblin smiled widely, with his blackened teeth.
At this time, XB11 finally returned to his master’s side, landing a dozen meters away from him with a loud bang from the impact.
“I’m here, Master. When do we depart?” XB11 spoke whilst standing up and dusting off his hands.
“Immediately.” Zuyuan stated calmly, “We need to get to the chief as quickly as possible, let’s move.”

Walking inside the jungle with a blue, crystallized compass on her hand, Elise, the elf girl that met with Zuyuan once before, tilting her head in confusion, “Is it not here?”
She looked around her surroundings and saw that the sky had become darker by the time she noticed it. The atmosphere was silent with no chirps of bugs and animals around, or even the roars of any predators were missing. Furrowing her eyebrows, she chanted a few mystical words under her breath.
Her eyes glinted with an emerald light for an instant before it disappeared completely, but there’s a greenish hue circling around her irises. Suddenly, her vision changed into a night vision and everything around became much clearer.
Still unsatisfied with something, she took out a short wand and chanted once more, ” , . (From the darkness, the light was born.)”
The tip of her wand, which was shaped as an owl with small glistering rubies in place of its eyes. The carved owl began to blink its eyes as it moved like it was alive. The owl chirped twice and a magic circle started to form below Elise’s foot.
” , . (From the earth, the tree rose in joy.)”
She opened her arms wide as her eyes closed slowly. The magic circle under her began to rotate at unbelievable speed. With a solemn tone, she said the last part of her chant as he felt her energy drained quickly.
” , . , ‘ ! (From the water and dirt, I shall rise. Heed my command, the vessel of the mother’s nature!)”
*Whoom*
The magic circle burst like a wheel that was spinning too fast that it could handle it. The eruption creates waves and waves of green light in the shape of a veil, covering the entire area of that jungle in seconds. Although it was so bright and flashy, the light didn’t cause any damage at all and just passed any materials that it touched.
After a few seconds, the lights were gone and Elise slumped to the ground with a heavy breath. Her forehead was trickling as her face grimaced as if she just drank a dozen of lemons in the last few seconds.
“It’s not in this part of the jungle”
Clenching her fist, she punched to the ground in frustration as she cursed loudly,
“Dammit!”
