Decisions (Inner Desires Series) - Chapter 10
The last few days seemed to have flied by, because before Olivia and her brothers knew it, it was the night before the Danes plans were going to take place. The time was going much to fast for them to keep up with and they wished they had more time, but they didn’t. Olivia still had to deal with the council members in her house, but they had stayed quiet since she had blown up at them.
“So, what’s the plan?” Alex asked.
“We need to make sure no one enters that park tomorrow night,” Jacob answered, “That’s the first thing.”
“That’s going to be hard; dusk is like nine at night and the park usually has pedestrians up until ten when the park closes,” Demon growled.
“That would be where you, Surriey, Edcur and Nicole come in,” Olivia said, “We need the four of you to go around the perimeter and make sure all humans are steered away from the area of attack.”
“Why me?” Demon growled.
“Because, you have yet to shift and you’ll get hurt if you stay and fight,” Shane explained, “Surriey and Nicole cannot shift unless it is a full moon, so therefore they have to do the perimeter. Edcur is an immortal human, but it does not mean he can fend off demons.”
“But…” Demon started.
“No buts. I’d sooner you not be killed,” Surriey said, kissing his cheek.
“Fine.”
“As for the council, aside from Edcur, do what Dane wants,” Jacob said.
“And that is?” Megael asked dryly.
“Stand and observe,” Olivia hissed.
“Olivia, Shane, Alex and I will be hiding in the woods area, waiting for the right moment and then we will advance,” Jacob explained, “Shane knows the demon more, so he will be able to determine what moves we should make.”
“Once we know the demon is dead, you can give your punishment to Dane,” Shane finished.
“Fine, but are we to just stand by and watch?” Ruby asked.
“It’s what Dane wants and unless you want to die by his hands or Alcatraz, I suggest you go by it,” Shane growled.
Olivia could tell that the council didn’t like the plan, but knew that Shane was right. They would be sitting ducks if they tried to advance on the demon or Dane. It seemed that the council didn’t like having no role in the ending of this event, except to give punishment. Shane was making sure that the council got out of this alive and that meant keeping them out of harms way. Olivia looked over and noticed that Surriey had a look of concern on her face. She knew why, Demon was the only one that couldn’t shift, which was why he had a different role. Demon also noticed Surriey and he rubbed her back, trying to comfort her.
“Surriey, why don’t you go lie down for a bit?” Shane suggested.
“Good idea…Demon, could you come with me?” she asked shyly.
“Sure, I guess,” he said, shrugging his shoulders and following Surriey up the stairs.
“She okay?” Olivia asked.
“Sort of. It’s getting closer to the full moon again and Surriey’s hormones are advancing on her,” Shane explained, “Nicole will have that two, once she’s eighteen. Right now, she’s okay,” he added, noticing Olivia’s look of concern.
“Oh. Wait, does that mean…” she started.
“Demon’s going to have a long night ahead of him,” Alex said, cutting her off.
“Geez, is that why you…” Olivia started again.
“Yes and no. I can control my hormones, but I actually have an attraction towards you,” Shane answered.
“I see. Are you bonded?” she asked.
“No. I’m an alpha, so bounding doesn’t happen with me.”
“Oh,” was Olivia’s only response.
Demon took his shirt off and laid down on the bed. He looked around for Surriey to find her stripping all of her clothes off. Once she did that she crawled onto the bed and nuzzled Demon’s neck. Demon swallowed, not sure of what to do. He’d never laid next to a naked woman before and of course, he could feel that his penis was rock hard. He wasn’t sure what to do exactly.
He didn’t need to think about that for very long as he felt Surrieys soft hands move down his chest to his stomach and then to his jeans. She quickly unbuttoned the jeans and brought the zipper down, allowing his penis to become exposed. She took it in her hand and began going up and down, causing Demon to arch his back. He had never felt this kind of feeling before and he wasn’t sure how to respond. She moved her hand faster, which in turn caused him to release. She moved her hand, causing Demon to whimper in protest. Surriey moved her head from his neck and took the length of him into her mouth. She flicked her tongue on the tip of his penis, which made Demon moan low in his throat. She moved her mouth off his penis and started from the base of it, licking up and taking him into her mouth again. He loved the feel of her mouth on him, even more, he loved the feeling of her tongue. He felt her hand cup his balls and begin massaging them, while her mouth went up and down on his shaft. This feeling was probably the best feeling Demon had ever had, and he hoped that there would be more of this in the future.
Surriey released his penis from her mouth and then turned her entire body around, allowing her cavern to be close to his face. She then returned to sucking his penis. Demon took the opportunity to take her into his mouth. His tongue played and teased her clit while she went up and down on his shaft. As his tongue played with her, he brought his hand up and plunged two fingers deep inside of her, causing her to shiver. He could feel her moaning as she continued to suck him. His tongue continued to dance around her clit and his fingers went in and out quite quickly. With the speed, both Surriey and Demon released in a bliss of ecstasy at the same time.
She moved her vagina away from his mouth, causing him to whimper, but once he realized what she was going to do next, he repositioned himself on the bed. She positioned herself on top of him and then positioned his penis, she then came down hard and fast on him, causing him to release a moan. She took satisfaction in that, bent her head down and captured his lips with hers. She danced with his tongue, loving the feel of him inside of her. However, since she didn’t move since plunging onto him, his patience was running thin. He started thrusting his hips, making it so that she was forced to ride him. she didn’t protest, considering that she thoroughly enjoyed every pound he made inside of her.
After a few more plunges, Surriey collapse on top of Demon, completely spent.
“Oh my god, you are amazing,” she breathed.
“You are as well,” he said, panting.
“Well, if we die tomorrow, at least I could have one moment of passion with you,” she said, smiling.
“Moment?” Demon said, lifting an eyebrow, “More like an hour or so.”
“Shush, you. Let me take pleasure in this,” she giggled, closing her eyes.
Demon could hear Surriey softly breathing now, which told him she had fallen asleep. He would leave her to rest, but there was one big problem; he was still very much buried deep inside of her.
Nerves were flying the next day, everyone in the household was concerned that everyone would not go to plan and something bad would happen. Olivia found that funny considering, they were facing a death demon and that was already bad enough, what worse thing could possible happen? More demons being summoned? Olivia couldn’t understand what bad thing could happen. Everything about tonight way bad, but at least they had some sort of game plane when dealing with Dane and Alcatraz. Blaze wasn’t an issue and Raska said he would deal with him after Alcatraz and Dane have been dealt with. Blaze was part of the summoning of the demon and therefore was receiving the same punishment as Dane. That didn’t seem to bother Raska as much as having to punish Dane. Raska, Tessmere and Edcur all were sided with Dane, but wished that he had taken a different approach with dealing with humans and supernaturals.
Olivia decided to go out one last time to see if she could track down her brother and tell him everything that recently happened. It was important for him to know exactly what was going on, in some aspects anyway. She at least wanted him to know about what was going to happen in six months, considering he would be long gone by then and it was fair for him to know that the council lost. Maybe, if she found him, he would kill Alcatraz before the night came and then there wouldn’t be an issue.
“What are you thinking of?” a voice asked.
“Dane! I’ve been looking for you,” she breathed, turning around to face him.
“Why?”
“Because there have been some new developments.”
“Developments?”
“Yes. The vote meeting in six months, it sounds like the rules are changing,” she said.
“Doubt that,” he sneered, “Did Edcur tell you that?”
“Yes, why?”
“Because he likes to calm things down, it’s what he does. Let me guess ‘Me, Raska and Tessmere are sided with you and your brothers. The other three are opposite. Shane will break the tie’?”
“Um, how did you know that?”
“Because it was the same spiel that they gave Blaze when Blaze attempted to change the rules years ago. He told me he had tried once; it was part of the reason he joined me. He doesn’t care if he dies, as long as something forces the council to change their way of thinking.”
“So, Edcur played us as fools?”
“Afraid so. Shane is a tie breaker, but Megael has the last say.”
“Great. So, nothing will change what you’re going to do tonight?”
“Nope. I’m a dead man anyway,” he growled, starting to walk away.
Olivia grabbed his arm, and he turned to look at her. Without thinking, Olivia pulled him into a tight grip, loving hug. She loved him so much and she knew it would probably the last time she would be able to give him a hug.
“I love you,” she whispered, letting go of him.
“I love you too,” he said, walking away.
Olivia wanted to scream after him, she wanted to stop him, but she knew it was pointless. She knew her brother wouldn’t change his mind now. What hurt her more, is that Edcur lied to her and her brothers. He said the rules would change, but he was only trying to dim down the damage that tonight was going to bring. That infuriated Olivia and she was more tempted to make a scene in front of humans, just to prove a point to the council. At the end of the day, Olivia wasn’t stupid and she would figure out a way to reveal supernaturals to the humans, the right way.
She headed back home to do the last-minute preparations for the fight tonight. She kind of hoped that Alcatraz would kill some of the council and get the blood on his hands and not theirs, but that was wishful thinking, unless the council tried to go after Alcatraz, which was a possibility if the rest of them looked like they were losing. What she wanted was what Dane wanted, to prove humans could handle supernaturals, but the council was stubborn and by the way Dane made it sound, they would never change the rules or their minds.
When Olivia walked into the front door, her brothers greeted her. She knew they needed to know what she found out, so she gestured for them to follow her upstairs, so they could talk quietly. Once they were behind Olivia’s closed bedroom door, Olivia punched the wall, almost hard enough that there was actually a dent in the wall.
“Geez Liv, what was that about?” Demon asked.
“Edcur lied to us! They’re not changing the rules. Megael can override Shane!” she sneered.
“Great…” Jacob growled, sitting down on Olivia’s bed.
“Those assholes,” Demon hissed.
“I know. It makes you feel like you want to screw them over tonight,” Olivia sighed, “But we can’t. Tessmere and Raska haven’t done anything wrong. They genuinely feel the same as we do, even if the others don’t.”
“True,” Jacob said.
“So, we continue with the plan?” Demon asked.
“Yes, only because we have too many people, we care about in this. Only Edcur, Ruby and Megael we don’t have much feeling for,” Olivia said in frustration.
“Yes, well as it is, we must protect the ones we love even if that means protecting the jerks,” Jacob concurred.
At around seven in the evening, the whole household was out the door and on their way to Heritage Park. Then needed to the park before Dane and the others arrived so they could set up and make sure that their plan went as discussed. They got to the park around seven-thirty, which gave them about an hour and a half, but Olivia knew her brother and knew he would arrive early, so they only really had maybe an hour. Right at that moment, the park had pedestrians all over, but she knew that the humans would lessen as it got closer to nine. However, she did know that there would be stragglers, and those are the ones that Demon, Surriey, Nicole and Edcur had to try and avert from the attack grounds. That wasn’t easy since humans could be stubborn and depending on where they came in from, may need to leave the same way.
Olivia, Shane, Jacob, and Alex all headed for the tree lines, while the council members Megael, Tessmere, Raska, Sarjen and Ruby all headed for the area near where Dane was going to be merging. He was planning on having the attack happen in the field near the long house, this Olivia knew from knowing it was the biggest field part in Heritage Park, aside from St. Mary’s. She knew at the end of the night, Alcatraz needed to be destroyed and as much as she disliked it, she had to protect the council from being murdered by the demon.
Time had passed some more while Olivia was thinking and she had glimpsed at her watch and realized it was almost eight-thirty. She looked into the distance and saw two figures walking into the park. She squinted her eyes and saw that one of them was her brother. The other must have been Blaze, but she was wondering where Alcatraz was. This was definitely concerning her, and she couldn’t sense him either. Did he not come? Was there a change in Dane’s plan? She didn’t know.
“Where’s Alcatraz?” she asked Dane, without thinking.
“Olivia? What the hell are you doing here?!” he asked.
“Long story.”
“You can’t sense him,” he chuckled, “Good!”
Olivia didn’t like that remark, because that meant that Alcatraz was here, but it also meant that Dane has something else in mind aside from proving a point to the council. She looked around the park and there were still some humans walking about, which wasn’t a good thing. If they were to see anything, the council would wipe their memories. She hated being in the dark, she hated not knowing what her brother had planned. She thought it was to prove something to the council, but she was starting to think that it had nothing to do with proving anything.
Within mere seconds, Olivia saw out of the corner of her eye, a huge black creature, heading straight for the council members. She instinctively let out a warning howl, shifted and ran as fast as she could towards the council members. She could see Shane, Alex and Jacob, all headed in the same direction. She arrived first, blocking Alcatraz’s path. He snapped at Olivia and tried to swipe at her, only to miss, but his claw ended up hitting Jacob instead, knocking him several feet away. Fury built and Alex lunged at Alcatraz, but he was faster, his jaws clammed down on her arm and he threw her across the field; she landed close to the parking lot.
Olivia looked around to the humans and saw that they were staring at them. Unfortunately, that mere moment of taking her eyes off of Alcatraz, he swiped at her with his claws, catching her shoulder and throwing her a few feet away. Infuriated, Shane lunged without thinking, which he quickly realized was a bad idea because Alcatraz caught him in his jaws by the stomach and threw across the field, close to where Olivia landed. The council members had shifted at this point to protect themselves from Alcatraz. Alcatraz could sense fear coming off of the council members and he fed off of this, which made him stronger. He stood at full length which was much taller than any of the members. They stepped back, not sure how to approach the demon. Alcatraz was about to lunge at the members when a wolf with straw brown and silver fur charged at Alcatraz, causing him to lose his balance.
Just as Alcatraz gained his balance back, the wolf lunged at him again, causing him to lose more balance. Frustrated, Alcatraz roared and lunged in the direction that he thought the wolf was going to come out of, but he misjudged and the wolf attacked him from behind and knock him to the ground. Alcatraz got back up and turned to face the wolf who had been attacking him. The two glared at each other for a few moments, Alcatraz could tell that the wolf was anticipating his next move. This gave him a thought of being able to counter the wolf’s attack. He looked over at the council members, who were still oozing with fear, which was feeding his hunger. He wanted to go after them, but he was unsure of what the wolf was going to do. He quickly glanced around to see where the other wolves went, but he couldn’t see any of them. Where the heck had they all gone? He didn’t care, as he was stronger than those measly wolves were. He looked back to the wolf he was facing, and it was now baring its teeth at him.
“Ha! You can’t defeat me!” Alcatraz snarled.
“Oh yes we can!” a voice said.
Alcatraz turned and something latched onto his throat. He realized it was a full silver wolf, the one he had knocked earlier. He streaked him anger, and tried to rip the wolf from his throat, only to have the wolf latch on even harder. At this point, he really wasn’t sure what to do about the wolf on his throat. He looked towards where Blaze and Dane were. Blaze was on the ground, covered in blood, which indicated that he was dead, but he couldn’t see Dane anywhere He screeched, and with all his force, he ripped the wolf from his throat and threw the wolf a few hundred feet away. He charged at the council and viciously swung out, hoping he would do some damaged to the council. After doing so, he looked around and saw the of the council members, a wolf and a dragon, lying lifeless on the ground. He searched for the other four, but one of them had already high tailed it out of the park, the one that looked like a human, was also heading towards the park exit. The other two, were taking their stance against Alcatraz, not showing fear towards him at this point. Anger built up more and Alcatraz lunged at the two, but was blindsided by a sharp pain that seared through his entire body. He looked down, not only to see a blade implanted in his chest, but a bloody, naked woman’s hand, pushing the blade deeper into his chest.
“That’s enough!” she hissed, “I send you back to where you came!”
“Little sorceress! I will return someday!” he hissed, vanishing into thin air.
“Olivia, are you alright?” Tessmere asked, running up to her.
Olivia fell to her knees, bloody and weak, she could not believe what had just occurred. She had managed to slam a blade into Alcatraz, a sorcerer weapon at that.
“Well, that looked like fun,” a voice cooed.
“Who the hell are you?” Raska hissed.
“Easy boy,” the man answered.
“You’re Hades,” Olivia breathed, “We don’t know where Dane is.”
“Oh, but I do. It seems that while you all were fighting Alcatraz, Blaze attempted to back stab him, which clearly didn’t work. Blaze is dead and Dane is mortally injured.”
“Where?” Raska asked.
“None of your damn business!” he snapped.
“He’s our brother,” Olivia sighed, realizing who she was talking to, “Please Hades.”
“Mortally injured…He’s dead. Blaze managed to stab him where death would soon follow. Dane is not of this world anymore.”
“Why did Blaze attack him?” Tessmere asked.
“He feared Dane and therefore tried to take him out. He was never really a friend of his, he just tried to use him.”
Olivia felt her heart break. She knew this was unavoidable and that she would lose her brother, it just never really hit her until she heard it from Hades herself. She loved him, but she knew she couldn’t barter for him or protect him. She was confused by one thing though, wasn’t Dane the one that was supposed to kill Alcatraz. She saw Hades slowly starting to vaporize.
“What about Alcatraz?” Olivia asked.
“Hmm, how do you mean?” Hades asked.
“As I was aware, Dane had to be the one to kill Alcatraz.”
“No, anyone carrying the blood of an Asayda would be able to do so.”
“So, he won’t come back?” Raska asked.
“No. Now, I must leave and you might want to tend to your wounded and not worry about the dead,” Hades said, vanishing.
Olivia frantically looked for her brothers in the field and she spotted Jacob, lying lifeless on the ground. Fear consumed her and she bolted over to him; she didn’t care that she was naked, she cared that her brother was not dead. Once she got up to him, she could see he was still breathing, but he was badly injured, he had three gashes across his stomach that were created by Alcatraz claws. Luckily supernaturals were resilient, but this was bad and she knew it would take quite some time for him to recover. She saw Alex, naked, clutching her arm, walking up to them.
“Are you alright?” Olivia asked.
“I’ll live and so will my arm. How’s Jacob?”
“He’ll live, but Alcatraz badly injured him,” Olivia sighed, “Have you seen Demon or Shane?”
“No, but the others are all okay, except for Ruby and Sarjen. They’re both dead. Alcatraz managed to kill them. Megael and Edcur booked it out of here. Tessmere said that about three or four humans saw what happened. Not sure how much they saw, but we don’t know if we’ll find them again. Megael was supposed to deal with them, but clearly he doesn’t care,” Alex explained, “Go find Demon and Shane, I’ll stay with Jacob.”
“Thanks,” Olivia sighed, conjuring clothes and went on to look for her brother and Shane.
She was able to find Shane easily, who was slowly getting up of the ground. He had a huge gash in his stomach, but he seemed okay otherwise.
“Shane, are you alright?” she asked.
“Have you seen Demon?”
“No,” but as he said that, a wolf with straw brown and silver fur walked up to them.
“You guys alright?” he asked.
“Umm…” Olivia started, not sure how to respond.
“Courage. My click was courage. It’s me, Demon,” he said.
“Geez, and you’re the only one that seems uninjured,” Olivia laughed, hugging her brother.
“What is the head count?” Shane asked Demon.
“Ruby and Sarjen are dead. Megael and Edcur fled. Surriey, Nicole, Tessmere, Raska, Alex, and Jacob are all alive. Blaze and…” Demon stopped then.
“Dane are dead…” Olivia sighed.
“I’m sorry it had to end this way,” Shane said calmly.

The grand hall in the Underworld
Dane struggled with the creatures that were holding him. They were strong and he couldn’t break from their hold. There was no sign of Hades at first, but he knew that he was close by or was going to show soon. Considering, all Hades had wanted was him in his clutches.
“You look comfy,” he heard a familiar voice coo.
“Go to hell!” Dane hissed.
“We are in hell, idiot!” one of the creatures holding Dane snapped.
“Release him, he can’t go anywhere.”
As soon as they did, Dane turned tail and bolted out of the room and headed down the hall, only to come to a dead end. He turned and ran the other way, which also came to a dead end. He then tried all the doors as he went down the corridor, and found one that was unlocked. He entered the room and closed the door behind him. He laid his forehead against the closed door and breathed deeply, until he felt a hand slip under the waistband of his jeans and someone cupping him.
“Hades,” he begged.
“This is my world and I own you,” Hades gleamed, wedging his leg between Dane’s, forcing him to spread his legs.
“Is my family safe?”
“Yes,” Hades said coldly.
“Good,” he sighed, watching his clothes vanish.
