Demon Kings Pet - 69 Chapter 60
The soft glow of the cave walls and plant life managed to light up the cave enough for one to see. The soft hues of bluish green were not all that terrible to look at. The only issue was that neither Wang nor Ai saw a hint of any life here ah!
Where was the promised spirit beasts?! Both gazed into the faint lighting tunnels, not sure where they would lead to. However, the faint steps of someone walking behind them caused Ai to grumble a bit, Wang quickly picking up on the ill mood of his love, before rushing forward.
Thus, instead of worrying about the lack of Spiritual Beasts, the two was instead stuck playing a game of cat and mouse with the female from before. Of course, they were the ones hiding while she was trying to find them!
“I could of killed her so easily if it was before!” Wang complained as he once more turned to go down a twisting tunnel. His own face was dark with annoyance as he ached to just go back to beat the damn girl into a putty! Though, because he had reset his skills, though his presence and ‘realm’ still felt the same to others, he was actually much weaker ah?!
Until he could improve his new cultivation, it was rather unnerving trying to pretend that you were still the strongest around. Clearly he had never been, but the idea was what gave him his non-fearing nature ah! Now he just wanted to quickly climb back to the peak and no longer worry about finding someone stronger.
Though he was sure he could still possibly when against this stupid girl, he wasn’t sure how long it would take, nor if the bitch had any secret tricks ah?! She clearly could at least hold some kind of skill. Not only had she lasted until now on her own, but she was clearly able to follow them?! How many times had they gone into a random tunnel only to shift back into the first one at the next intersecting loop?!
Ai had found his own mood growing more annoyed with the passing time. Not only had he finally decided to ‘be’ with Wang, but now someone else was claiming to be his fated partner?! What? Why hadn’t you arrived before he stole my innocents ah!? Why now?!
Keeping his place around the larger males neck, Ai just gazed around the walls of the tunnel, wondering how any treasures or other important things could be found in such a bland cave ah? Not only was there only the soft glowing lights and useless plants that only glowed with the same light as the wall. There was nothing for him her ah?! Not a single herb!
Finally, Wang managed to ease into a crack in the wall that was a bit awkward, making the two fade into the darkness as they peered out. Since the crack no longer held the glow, the two figured they could hide here and then let the girl pass them ah! Then she’d be walking ahead, and they could follow. No longer being chased, but chasing!
Wang was just glad that his little wifey was no longer mad at him! He promised that he hadn’t ever cheated ah? This was truly a case of some misunderstandings ah? Though he wanted to explain it clearly for the little fox on his shoulders, the two wasn’t really sure how close the girl was. So, they had to stay quiet, just waiting to see her pass by.
It didn’t take long for the girl to finally start making her way down the twisting tunnel. She was skipping along without a care. The odd thing, was that it seemed like there was an odd light floating before her, leading her pathway? Ai blinked a few times as he looked to Wang, confused on what was happening.
Wang was a bit taken back himself before his gaze once more darkened with a cold sneer. She was truly capable ah?! She was a damn scouting array master?! The two were feeling rather angry as the orb moved itself over to the crack they were hiding in, hovering there as the girl paused, looking around confused.
“Ah, stupid thing, they aren’t here! Come on! Lead the way!” she told the orb, poking it with her finger while growing worried. If it continued to not lead the way, then wouldn’t she lose them?! Maybe they had tricks too? Stopping the locating array, the Hua blinked. What no?
Both Wang and Ai were left with a stupid expression. Clearly they had been found, but was this girl really…stupid? Not only had her locator orb not only found them and the crack they were hiding in. But she acted as she hadn’t even seen it! You had to know that though Wang wasn’t a overtly strong muscle man, he was still larger than the average Joe!
It wasn’t until the girl had finally disappeared around the bend of the tunnel that the two finally began to relax. The two looked at one another before wondering what it was that had just happened. Clearly the two were sure she’d of found them just then?
Wang waited until enough time passed before he began to move back out of the crack. However, it seemed this was not going to work ah? The crack seemed to have shifted a bit, and not only could Wang no longer get out, even Ai found that he wasn’t able to squeeze himself from around the others neck ah?
It clearly hadn’t been this tight before? Both felt a sliver of fear before the opening to the crack closed before their eyes, blocking them into the darkness as the cave wall holding them in place began to shift over them, as if they were being pushed along the walls down.
This was even weirder, because Wang’s feet never left the floor! So how where they being pushed down?!
