Qin Wei stared at Shen Xia, her face red with anger as she saw Wan Zhi react to Shen Xia’s words. She was going to curse Shen Xia some more, but before she could, Shen Xia spoke first. “Qin Wei was it? I will say this now. The next time you call me a slut, I will not hesitate to smack that pretty little face of yours. I can only tolerate so much. I have done nothing to you, yet you come running up to me, slandering me over a person I have no knowledge of and calling me names. Do you think you are some kind of entitled princess? Because all I see is a girl who only knows how to run her mouth. Is it my fault that your fiance found me pretty? Did I tell him to like me? Did I go up to him and try to flaunt my goods? I have done none of that. Yet you say I tried to seduce him. Tell me, how many times have you seen us together besides today? Name the time and place of each event.”

Shen Xia’s sudden barrage of questions left Qin Wei speechless. Even though she knew that Shen Xia did not do anything, she couldn’t handle that her fiance had taken a liking to someone else. “I…”

“Can’t say it? Because you have no evidence. So please leave me alone and do not bring me into your little lover’s quarrel when I have nothing to do with it. I can not control how others perceive me.” Shen Xia said before turning to Wan Zhi. “And you. I’m flattered, but I already have a man.”

After saying this, Shen Xia turned and walked away. Quan Xinya, Lilith, and Dai Na all looked at each other before grinning from ear to ear. Behind them, Qin Wei and Wan Zhi both stared at their retreating backs as they entered the classroom with dumb founded expressions. Qin Wei’s face was burning red now more from embarrassment than anger. But that anger was slowly taking control. She looked at Wan Zhi, who was next to her who looked as if he had just been shot in the heart after being so harshly rejected that she could no longer keep the tears she was holding back from welling up in her eyes. Combined with the whispers of the students around her, she could no longer take it all and ran off. She swore deep down she would make Shen Xia pay for this.

Wan Zhi was still in a daze. He didn’t care what people said about him. He was just having issues with the way he was so thoroughly rejected. He gripped his fist. He may not be liked by her now, but the future was still the future. He kept repeating this same thought over and over in his head. He did not wish to give up on his first love.

In the classroom, Shen Xia sat down and let out a sigh as she leaned her head against Lilith’s shoulder. “Was I too mean just now?”

“No. You gave it to him straight and that girl…. She really needed a smack. If not for you not letting us do anything, we would have beaten her black and blue.” Quan Xinya answered. She really wished to beat that woman up. She was saying slut this slut that the entire time.

“No beating people in school. You will end up getting suspended, and that will look bad on you when we go to get into college.” Shen Xia reached out and tapped Quan Xinya’s forehead. Quan Xinya pursed her lips. She was still angry. She felt the girl needed a slap. But her mood was soon lifted when she heard Shen Xia’s next words. “That’s why when we see her in public, we do it then.”

“You’re right! Humph! Let’s see how she feels when I smack her around a few times.” Quan Xinya said while nodding her head.

Shen Xia chuckled and shook her head. At that time, the form teacher, Mr. Huang, came walking into the room. “Listen up! I have an announcement. The school will be holding mock college exams next month. So you will all need to work hard and study properly.”

“What will the questions be like?” One of the students asked.

“The questions will be equivalent to that of the questions seen on the capital university tests. They will not be easy, and they will allow you to understand where your weaknesses are, so you can improve on them and do much better when the real things come into play.” Mr. Huang answered. He looked over the class, who all had pal faces, and smiled. “You have a month. Do well. This will be the first of the three mock exams you will all be given before the end of the year. Strive to get the best grade you can get.”

“Uhg!” Dai Na wanted to cry. She hated tests.

“We can all study together so we can help each other out.” Shen Xia said as she reached over and patted Dai Na’s head. Dai Na nodded her head. She was not bad at school but hated studying.

The rest of the day up until launch was peaceful. It was during lunch that someone Shen Xia did not wish to speak to, had come walking up to her. That person was none other than Shen Bai. “Shen Xia. Let’s talk.”

“Hmm? What is there for us to talk about?” Shen Xia asked. She wanted to know what schemes this girl had up her sleeve.

“Just come with me. It’s a private matter.” Shen Bai said while looking at Quan Xinya and the rest.

Shen Xia sighed and stood up. She was not afraid of whatever schemes this cousin of hers had. She looked at Lilith and the others and said: “I will be back.”

“Be careful.” Lilith reminded her. Shen Xia nodded and looked at Shen Bai. “Lead the way.”

Shen Bai turned and walked towards the cafeteria’s exit. Shen Xia quietly followed behind her. At the table, Quan Xinya asked: “Are you sure it is okay to let her go by herself?”

“Shen Bai is just a normal human. Xiaxia is no longer a weak girl. She can easily  kill tens of orcs with ease.. A mere human is no threat unless they shoot at her.”
