Demonic CEO: Fluff Fluff Please Be My Pet - Chapter 67
“You! You can’t run this company on your own!”
“Hmm? What is so hard about running a company? I pass work down to those who are able to do the job, and they do it. Plus, mostly everything will be slimmed down since I will be working with small teams and engineers. Productivity and creating something that is going to change the world is not done with a bunch of stinky old men with narrow minds. I can see why Grandpa Mo was stuck not being able to create something fantastic when he loves robots so much.
“Holding back innovation just because you want quick cash is not the right way to go about things as I am now the CEO of what will soon be X-A.I. Corp, we will bring in the next generation and show the world that what is impossible is possible.” Shen Xia smiled at the old men as she turned around and walked across the table back to her seat. She sat down and propped her legs up onto the table, and crossed her arms across her chest. “I suggest you that sell your stocks asap. Are there any more questions before I call security and have you all escorted out of the building?”
“You!”
“You better not regret this!”
All eight of the old men got up from their seats and stormed out of the room in a huff. Shen Xia didn’t even bat an eye at them as she continued to smile. Her vision for the future is not something anyone would ever imagine. She wanted a future where A.I. could be loved and respected by all. Just like how she fell in love with it, she wanted others to enjoy it just as much as she does now.
Old Mo looked at Shen Xia with a bit of worry. “Lass, are you sure you will be able to handle a company without having others to help you besides us old folks?”
“It’s fine. I do not plan to keep everyone on. I want to form a small group of engineers and computer scientists that are innovative and understand what the future is about. To do this, after I take care of the board at the other company, I want to announce a competition that the three of us will be the judges of. This way, I can pick the cream of the crop and bring everyone together into a single place. I do not plan to Stay In CIty A forever, so there is no point in keeping the company here. I will be moving to the capital, and there I will set up a new headquarters. So shutting down one company and selling the property will allow more funding for the projects I plan for the future.” Shen Xia explained. She did not wish to continue creating products that were already saturated in the market, she wanted a whole new line of robotics that was created by her and her new company.
“I see…” Old Mo and Old Yun both went into deep thought.
“If you do that, not only will you be able to get things done with no red tape, but if your team is creative, you can come up with many new ideas that others would not think of… Sigh… This old man has really stagnated after spending so much time running this company chasing after profits instead of trying something new.” Old Yun sighed. He was not mad in the slightest that Shen Xia wanted to break his company down and sell the land. It was, in fact, a good decision. Taking the money they have off the last of their products and cutting staff, and property expenditures will create more funding for newer things.
“We will need to make sure that everyone gets four years of severance pay. It should allow them time to find new jobs without worry.” Shen Xia was not evil. Although she was going to lay off hundreds of employees, she was not going to leave them high and dry. With four years worth of pay, it would give them plenty of time to find a new job.
“Mm… Good choice. This will make it easier on everyone, including yourself.” Old Mo agreed. If she did not at least give this much as compensation, she could easily find herself being caught up in a scandal that would delay anything she wished to do.
“Alright, for now, we will need to push out all the back stock we have and get it all sold. As most of the parts for the products are cheap and are only overly priced due to their uniqueness, we can do a massive seventy-five percent off sale on the online stores. We should get the advertising team running on some public ads. Also, use up all resources we have before shutting down the facilities. Just keep making and selling until everything is gone, no waste of money. Once it is all gone, auction off our patients. X-A.I. Corp will start from scratch.” Shen Xia tapped her finger on the table as she tried to make sure she was not missing anything.
“Little girl, are you sure you have never run a business before? Why do I feel that you know how to run a company better than me?” Old Mo teased.
Shen Xia smiled and hummed. “I am just doing what I think the right process is. Maximize all profits as much as possible before dropping everything and starting anew.”
No company would do such a thing. Most would just keep the departments they had going until they had a finished product of what they were planning to make next, but Shen Xia did not think that way. She wanted to start everything from scratch. While she might lose money in the process, it was no big deal. She knew if she really needed funding for something that her handsome devil would help her out. But she did not wish to rely on him just yet. She wanted to make this work on her own for the time being and see how far she truly could go with only so much.
“Young Miss, I will write up the paperwork needed for everything you asked for. I can promise nothing will take long to do.” Di was truly amazed with Shen Xia’s planning. He swore in his heart he would do whatever he could to help her make this dream of hers come true.
“Thanks Di! I will be counting on you for all the legal stuff.” Shen Xia smiled before looking at Old Mo and Old Yun.. “Let’s go look at the factory in the back.”
