Demons And Goddesses - Volume 7 Chapter 3
Part 3
Siang Lan was stunned. She wanted to be angry, but she cant.
For some reason, the manner of this brave, presumptuous young man managed to conquer her heart and could not at all make her hatred, even she secretly felt astonished why she was amazed by this young man.
The greatness of Kun-lun-pais swordsman-stance
So you are willing to die ini order to defend your uncle-master? You want to defend someone who has actedfraudulent and cowardly? she snapped.
The young man shook his head sadly, No, if its not you who come, Ill definitely defend Susiok desperately. However, if Susiok has sinned against your suhu, Ill forbid you to kill him who doesnt want to fight only to prevent you from doing misguided thing.
Siang Lan became completely awry. Should she relent and back off, not got revenge just because of the presence of this insolent young man? No, no! She couldnt be this weak.
Then, let me kill you first! she said while attacking with her sword.
If you can, the young man replied in a mocking voice and then parried with his sword. The clash of the two swords made both of them fall back three steps and each of them was shocked knowing that the opponents skill should not be fooled.
Siang Lan attacked again and Tek Kun served her violently so they fought fiercely. Their swords rolled fast, let out winds then heard of the sound of a whistling sword, sometimes there were loud noises when two swords collided followed by the blinding-eyed sparks.
Siang Lan was secretly amazed at the greatness of Kun-lun-pais swordsman-stance played by this young man. It turned out that this young mans swordsman-stance was really good.
On the contrary, Tek Kun was also shocked because he did not expect that Hwe-thian Moli was really very fierce and difficult to fight with the his swordsman-stance.
The old story of an old man
Meanwhile, Kim-gan-liong Cin Lu Ek became very confused. He then jumped forward and desperately stood right in the middle between the two persons saying.
Hold the swords! Stop fighting or Ill let my body be destroyed by your swords!
Because of not willing to kill this old man who didnt want to fight, then the two young men jumped back. While shedding tears, Cin Lu Ek then said to Siang Lan.
Little lady, I invite you to come into my house and hear my story first. Think of this as a confession of my sins to your late suhu. As for then if you still insisted on killing me, its fine, Ill fight you with my weapon.
Susiok! snapped Tek Kun angrily, Do you still have face to fight against the disciple of Pat-jiu kiam-ong?
Let it be, indeed I should die. Why should I be afraid to add a little sin if I already knew that I wont be able to fight against this shrewd little-lady? Come in, little lady, come in and hear my story.
Because she was eager to hear this old mans story and to show her courage in front of this young man, Siang Lan then sheathed the sword and said.
We may delay fighting to hear your story. There is no harm in continuing if you are still brave!
All three then entered the house and sat on old, simple benches. After they sat down, Kim-gan-liong Cin Lu Ek sighed many times, then he told his story.
Who exactly Kim-gan-liong was at first
Formerly Cin Lu Ek was a rich man who often helped people. Not only wealthy, but he was also famous as a high-skilled disciple of Kun-lun-pai. But his life was full of inner pain.
From a marriage with his beloved wife he did not have a descendant. When the village where he lived was infected by an outbreak of contagious disease, his wife became one of the victims so that she went to the afterlife living him alone.
This hurt Cin Lu Ek to the point of making him crazy. He could not feel happiness in his wealth, so he then made a decision that made many people wondered.
He sold his house and all his rice-fields, then took all the money away. Maybe there were thousands of poor people who were at risk of starvation who had been helped by him, gave them money so that the money then ran out completely.
However, The Golden-Eyed Dragon did not stop there, he continued his travels and reached out to the poor people.
His name became famous among the Kang-ouws, but now he had fallen into poverty. The only treasure he had was only a sword and a piece of clothing he wore.
The beginning of a cunning conspiracy
Besides his courage and generosity, Cin Lu Ek turned out to have a weakness which was his character who didnt want to lose in terms of martial arts.
Wherever he heard there was an expert in martial-art, he came to the one and invited him or her of doing pibu (to fight) in a friendly manner.
During many years of his travelling, he was only defeated by two people in pibu. First time by Ouwyang Sianjin and the second by Leng Kok Hosiang, he upheld the two, especially Ouwyang Sianjin whose his skills far more than his owns.
The adventure which made him traveled the entire provinces making him very famous. Many of the kang-ouw people he had known, and among them, he had tied a friends.h.i.+p with Toat-beng Sin-to Liok Kong, Sin Wan Yap Cin, Santung Taihiap Siong Tat and others.
One day he met with these three kang-ouw people plus Leng Kok Hosiang as their leader.
Eh, eh, dragons came down from the mountain, out of the cave, what has happened on the surface of the earth? Cin Lu Ek asked them.
Incidentally, Kim-gan-liong is here! Leng Kok Hosiang exclaimed. This monk had defeated Kim-gan-liong in pibu after fighting nearly two hundred stances, so he became so excited because he knew of Kim-gan-liongs shrewdness.
As it was said before, the obscene monk nicknamed Jai-hwsian (G.o.d of Flowers-Picker) had once received a hard lesson from Pat-jiu kiam-ong Ong Han Cu. After training himself for five years at the top of Sin-tok-san, practicing the blow-stance of Cotok-jin, he went down the mountain in search of Ong Han Cu.
However, again he became disappointed to be defeafed by the younger brother of Pat-jiu kiam-ong, namely Ouwyang Sianjin.
Getting friends on order to successfully take revenge
With a heart full of revenge, this monk then wandered and looked for friends to take revenge.
Coincidentally, he met Yap Cin the Infinite Monkey who also held a grudge against Pat-jiu kiam-ong because Ong Han Cu had knocked him down.
Even if he had gotten a friend, Leng Kok Hosiang was still afraid of disturbing Ong Han Cu because he had heard that the warrior had found an incredible swordsman-stance.
He was very sharp-eared. Although Ong Han Cu had tried to hide it, the monk managed to find out that besides a swordsman-stance, the warrior had also discovered a large amount of treasure on the top hill of Liong-cu-san.
This news made him succeed in attracting Toat-beng Sin-Liok Kong and Santung-taihiap Siong Tat, because even though these two had no hostility towards Ong Han Cu, but they were attracted to the inheritance.
So the four kang-ouws departed, with ill will towards Pat-jiu kiam-ong, heading to Liong-cu-sans mountain to look for Ong Han Cu.
Leng Kok Hosiang knew that Cin Lu Ek the Golden-Eyed Dragon was an honest man and had no desire to the inheritance.
