While his grandfather was trying to formulate his sentence, now that he was already asking Diyu xunge came up with another question for him “Hey gramps, why did our clan leave the ancestral grounds behind”. As this was the the question he had wanted answered the most for quite some time he blurted it out without thinking too much about it.
“The clan left the ancestral grounds behind because there were neighbouring sects that vied for our ancestral grounds so we who were already declining decided to leave to Tianwu city, while doing so we also lost a few scriptures that were stuck on the walls, such as how to awaken a higher leveled bloodline, BUT if we were ever to return there we can still get back the untouched scriptures thanks to our ancestors who places a seal that could only be open with our bloodline” As this was an answer to both questions he just told it as soon as he remembered the whole thing.
“oh yeah, if you want to unlock your bloodline powers how about you just meditate while trying to sense the blood flowing trough your veins.” he added when he finished talking, “if you want, since our bloodline is fire related i could hunt a fire type demonic beast of the higher fifth or lower sixth levels for you.”he blurted it all out without really thinking it through.
“OK” it was just a short monotone answer, yet it clearly induced diyu xunge thought he had had enough of the conversation
“???,ok then that’s all i’ll let someone bring the demonic beast corpses” Diyu yan said as he quitly left, leaving Diyu xunge alone in his courtyard.
As soon as he was alone he took out a suspicious looking scroll, when he looked at it it made him feel like his blood was boiling as if he could catch fire any moment now.
he tried to open it several times without succeeding, thus he roared out of frustration.
“IF I CAN’T EVEN OPEN A SCROLL THEN HOW AM I STILL WORTH ANYTHING!!!”
