Descendants Fate; Faye Nobody Heiress - Chapter 1

Lexus is super excited as he is skipping in the pathway, crossing over a crowd of students. He knew where he could see his “best friends”; Raven and Ken. Lexus is initially heading to the school café but stops in a midway when Lexus sees a man dressed in all black, wearing a tuxedo. The man approached Lexus; he immediately flinches, stepping backward; he senses something unusual in that man, being there. In a matter of seconds, drags in an alley that no one even noticed them, the man hands covering his mouth.

He starts to feel tense, feels like that his stomach is doing summersault. He is nervous, but he doesn’t want to panic. The man looks directly into his eye as if giving him the warning to shut up and listen to him; unconsciously, he nods, afraid that the man might hurt him, so he calms down his nerves and try to listen to him. The man looks at him before he speaks, the man makes sure his attention is on him and that he will never make any attempt to fight back or escape since he is in no choice but to listen to him, the man starts to talk

“I’m sent here by Raven’s father,” the man said

Lexus is shocked, the look of surprise in his eyes tell everything what he exactly feels. The man continues to explain.

“Our master doesn’t want our young master to have any connection to Ms. Faye Chennester and your family agrees that you will help us.”

After hearing it, the sounds are echoing inside his brain; he manages to relax and try to understand everything that is said to him a while ago.

“Your father makes a deal with our master that you will cooperate with us in separating our young master with that girl named “Faye,” you will help us cut any connections they have and will have in the future. Our master doesn’t want any relationships that are building up between our young master and that girl; with your help, we can prevent further damage and solve everything quietly. It is the best resolution for both parties, for your family privileges and also helping your dear “best friend’ to not put himself in trouble, a win-win proposal coming from our master for your family welfare, especially for your father.”

He is no longer in the mood to see his “best friends,” both of his shoulders suddenly felt heavy, and he doesn’t want to talk to anyone. He goes to his family home without telling anyone. He can call his father on his cell phone, but he has the urge to go and see him personally. It is not that far. It is just a two-hour drive from school. He feels occupied, sad, and gloomy at the same time. He wanted to talk to his father so bad for putting him in such a situation.

As soon as he arrives in their family home, their servants immediately greeted him, and he is in no mood; he quickly goes to his father’s office, and luckily, his father is there talking to someone on his phone. He manages to wait for a while until his father notices him.

“My son, you are here. What brings you here? Is it something so important that you have to come home and see me personally?” his father sounds sarcastic, a tone he doesn’t like, but he manages to stay calm. He wants answers and solutions; that’s why he is calming himself as much as possible. He is biting his lower lip and start to breathe deeply and collecting all his senses before he speaks

“Father, a man wearing a formal all-black suit tuxedo grabbed me in my University while I’m walking in the pathway, took me in an alley and said to me that you are in agreement with their master which turn out to be Raven’s father, and they said that as your son I would help them do their job,” he says it looking directly into his father eyes

“Ah! That…” his father seems thinking…

“What makes you think I will ruin my best friends trust just for the sake of our family status?” he said, anger starts to boil inside of him

His father looks at him blankly; he can’t read his father’s expressionless face. He can’t help but begin to talk again

“Life is not all about money and power. Father, for you, maybe but not for me; you and I are very different, so please don’t make me do these things. It is insane! Father; besides, Raven and Faye are just friends” Lexus tried to convince his father, Lexus knew that Raven is in love with Faye, his best friend fondness towards Faye is show maybe that’s why Raven’s father felt that Faye is a threat for his son’s future. Their families are longtime rivals when it comes to money, status, and power. It is stating the obvious why Raven’s father doesn’t want someone like Faye to be in their family.

His father is smart enough, and of course, he knew that he’s telling it as an excuse and lies for him not to drag in the situation. His father breathe deep before he speaks

“We are here in the place where we are right now because I’ am not stupid Lexus, it is not because a person says it, and you will easily believe it. You have to use tools and some connections for you to know the real intentions and the truth, and I know you, Raven, and Ken is fascinated with those women. Did I have to regret the fact that I put you in that school and not to all boys’ University?; seeing you so distracted and not even performing like you usually does make my heartbreak.” his father says mockingly.

“Father…” Lexus sounds he is pleading, and what hurts him is doesn’t even know what it is he’s asking about. He is a shadow of his father, the future CEO of their company, the one who will inherit everything. His father’s heir so is Raven and Ken; they are born with responsibilities ahead of them, but some say they are born with “silver spoons.”

“This is for our family’s future. I’m making our connection and our base strong, and I’m doing it for your good. Raven’s father wanted to outnumber and surpassed Chennester’s family achievement. Mr. Chennester is dead, and that makes it worse because the present CEO of Chennester’s company, Faye Chennnester’s stepfather, is evil. He plays bad games, and Raven’s father is pissed, you know we can only put ourselves to the place where a good place is guaranteed for us. We will work with Mr. Hamilton hand in hand with the benefits of both of our families, and that’s what we are doing my son” his father calmly explains

The talk to his father is of no use; he is more bewildered than ever; he doesn’t know what to do. He can’t make a lot of excuses, and he can’t push his luck over his own father’s patience about the topic. Lexus can’t be weak in front of his father; Lexus can’t show how he shivered and hated all the ideas and that he don’t want to be involved.

“My son; I expect you to study hard and perform very well in your University as you usually do, you know I’m not like Raven’s father who eliminates destruction but I’ am someone who has my way of dealing with unnecessary…” his father words cuts through his heart and he felt like burning. He can’t stop thinking if his father talking about Leigh as destruction, but for him, Leigh is not destruction; she is an inspiration. His father had no idea. He looks back to him intently and says firmly, “I know where I’m putting myself into father; don’t do anything or touch anyone until I decide,” Lexus said, emphasizing every word before he turns back.

Mr. Fletcher threw a news paper to Lexus as he gets it; he shocked to read the headlines

“Mr. Chennester died in the car accident, a murder case” 09/2012/07

It was her daughter’s “16th birthday” when his father arranged a grand birthday party for her, inviting all his business colleagues and partners, but her mother didn’t show up. Mr. Chennester cheers her up and gives her a gift a “car key”; a purple Lamborghini is outside their mansion. She can’t help but feel amazingly astonished. She is in awe, and she hugs her father tightly. All of the guests clap their hands and take pictures of this father and daughter moment. A few days after the daughter’s grand birthday party, Mr. Chennester died in a car accident; there are rumors that there is a foul play in the car incident that happens to Mr. Chennester, but the investigator said, it is not true and what happens is an accident.[end of article]

Lexus is shaking while reading the news articles; he looks at his father, who speaks once again,

“It is all over the news the first day; I don’t know why and how the investigators and media silence about it after a day,” Mr. Fletcher confesses.

“I observe her that 16 years old girl after his father died, I can’t help but keep my eye on her; she is young and alone, but still she is the successor of Mr. Chennester. Before his father died, they celebrated her daughter birthday, as what happened to his father are all over the morning news and the whole day news; they are in the Business News column showing the grand birthday party of her daughter and the most talked about gift at her birthday given by her father. It mostly talks about topics in social media. The videos are shared, and the most viral videos are circulating in social media.” Mr. Fletcher started to tell the story; his voice becomes gloomy

“But again a few days after her birthday, the News shocked them once again; Mr. Chennester’s daughter’s heart is shattered and shaken by the News that his father died in a car accident. The whole business world and the country are in grief. Her mother groans in a madly cries as if she is a crazy person. Helpers scared by her mother state, Mrs. Chennester wouldn’t let the daughter come near. Their family doctor calms her mother by injecting medicines that calm her. The girl is terrified by sight, and she pitied her mother; she wanted to hug her and calm her down, but she doesn’t acknowledge her. She cried the whole time.” Mr. Feltcher sighs

“It is a heartbreaking scene to watch” Mr. Feltcher bows his head

“Father, you care?” Lexus can’t help but asks

“Raven should know all of this, he has deep affection towards Faye, and she can help her resolve this by Raven family influence and power,” Lexus said fast

“No, Lexus does not intervene; you don’t want to meddle in between the Chennester and Hamilton dispute” his father warned him

“We have our problem to deal with, stay away from them. I need to protect you. I will not let them hurt you” Mr. Feltcher’s word touch Lexus’s heart

Lexus look at his father softly, “Father, I’m happy for the concern you are showing me, but knowing all of this, I can’t keep quite.”
