Descendants Fate; Faye Nobody Heiress - Chapter 20

Faye is unconscious for three straight days, Leigh and Czerene are getting worried especially that Raven is awake.

They can’t help but fear that the accident has done something abominable to their best friend.

Leigh is anxious as Czerene keep calming her.

“Stop worrying, the doctor ȧssures Faye is fine, she will wake up in no time” Czerene convinces Leigh.

“You sure, what if that doctor is an ally of his stepfather? How we can be so sure he is telling us the truth?” Leigh asks uneasily

Leigh can’t help but feel frightened to what will happen to Faye, knowing that all that surrounds Faye is against her.

Faye’s own mother is not with herself, emotional and mentally unstable. Faye’s mother relies too much on Faye’s stepfather.

Faye’s stepfather manipulating everyone first, Faye’s mother, the citizen of the city and the Board Council of Zenith University.

Faye’s stepfather tries so hard to hide his wickedness and evil deeds.

Faye always tells them how she never trust his stepfather, how Faye has dreadful feelings towards him.

Mr. Arkin’s appearance in Chennester’s family after Mr. Chennester died is suspicious but no one dared to question it.

Mr. Arkin still one of the biggest stockholders of their company next to Mr. Chennester and he is the vice president of Mr. Chennester ȧssigned to take care of the business overseas.

To say everyone might be surprised that Mr. Arkin takes over the management when Mr. Chennester died but it never happens, in fact, everyone anticipated it.

Mr. Arkin Reinkenson is known as a great partner of Mr. Chennester and also the one he trusts the most.

Their rumors break out that Mr. Chennester’s deaths are all good plans and his intention but the rumor silence and vanish quickly.

Leigh had enough thinking of Faye’s life, she pities her friend. Leigh can’t ignore that her friend is a victim of Mr. Grayson’s game.

Leigh sighs as she stares at her friend still sleeping in the bed.

Leigh gaze at Czerene, she is peeling the apple. They still go to the University for classes but between breaks, they immediately go to the hospital.

In three days, she and Czerene literally live there to watch over their best friend.

That how much they care and love each other. They are can’t be at ease not until Faye is awake.

Leigh looks at her wristwatch, “Czerene time for my classes” she said gloomily.

“Okay, I’ll stay here till you come back,” Czerene says.

Leigh smiles for three days Czerene sacrificing her school schedules, talking to her professors to catch up at different times, studies on her own and pass special projects and exams.

Czerene having a special class for three days is allowed by the University; in this University everything is possible as long as the students want it.

Czerene requests a special class for both of them can take care of Faye while she is in the hospital. Leigh is glad that Czerene does it for her and Faye.

It’s still early for Leigh class but she leaves the hospital to get some fresh air outside, there’s a lot consuming her thoughts including Lexus is nowhere to be found.

For three days Lexus is not attending his classes. Ken and Raven don’t talk anything about him.

Raven is up and doing his therapy, his mother always in the hospital to take care of him while Faye’s mother didn’t even peek in her room.

Leigh looking at the fallen leaves in the park, she kicks it as she passes by, she stops in a bench and looks at the sky for her everything looks gloomy.

Leigh closes her eyes for a while;

“You seem very stress” Leigh heard the voice of a woman.

Leigh quickly opens her eyes and looks at her. The woman wearing a fedora hat shaded blue eyeglasses and a stylish coat. The woman seems in her 40’s. The woman smiles at Leigh.

“Why you look so surprised?” The woman asks

“Have you already eaten?” The woman once again questions which puzzles her.

“Who are you?” Leigh is curious.

“I will tell you everything about me if you could please spare me some time so we can have some coffee, I’m dying to drink one” The woman answers.

“How could you convince me to trust you that easy” Leigh scoffs

The woman takes out a picture, there’s three-person in the photo; Faye’s mother and that woman in front of her and a five-year-old girl. Leigh looks at it closely, her eyes widen when she sees it is Faye.

The one with the picture is a five-year-old Faye, she knows for the reason she saw a lot of Faye’s childhood photos.

Leigh quickly gets the picture, she inspects it. “How could I know it’s real?” she asks.

“I have a lot of proofs” The woman winks at her.

“I want you to bring me to where my niece is,” The woman said.

“Your niece’ Leigh asks

“Yes, my niece. I’m Faye’s auntie, the one and only sister of Faye’s mother.” The woman tells her.

The woman brings out her identification card,

Ms. Airelle Llanzvidz, Leigh read the card.

“You live overseas” Leigh mutters.

“Yes, I live there and enjoy my life but there are things that are happening here that needed my urgent attention.” The woman who named Airelle

“Urgent attention, you mean what happens to Faye. It’s about the accident?” Leigh asks

“Yes,” Airelle answers briefly.

“But first bring me to a coffee shop and let me buy my coffee first and Mr. Arkin and my sister should not know I’m here In the meantime, I need you to bring my message to her. I can’t show up in this very moment” Airelle explains.

“Why?” Leigh inquisitive

“Mr. Arkin on watch and he held my sister on her neck” Airelle voice is furious

Leigh knew there is an in-depth story behind Mr. Arkin taking over Chennester’s company and marrying Faye’s mother.

Leigh still doesn’t trust the woman but she felt she has no choice but also gamble in this game.

Faye needs her help and as her best friend Leigh feels she can unravel the story behind Mr. Arkin’s sudden appearance with the help of this woman.

Leigh takes a breath; still, she needs to entertain her doubts.

“How could I trust you?” Leigh asks looking intently in her eyes.

“I don’t need your trust. My niece needs me and my help.” Airelle looks at her with determined looks.

Leigh thinks for a while and gets up “I will take you in a coffee shop but I will never get you any coffee.”

“Sure, I have money to buy for myself. I can even buy for you” Airelle smiles

Leigh walks as the woman follow before they reach the cafe, Leigh stares at her weirdly, and she can’t help but asks

“Why you dress that way? You’re getting a lot of attention.”

“It’s my style” Airelle answers casually

“Okay,” Leigh shrugs it off.

“You have the celebrity elitist vibe” Leigh commented.

“Really, I’m a fashionista” Airelle answers.

“I can’t believe Faye’s mom and you are siblings. You are so different from one another.” Leigh commented

“We are very different” Airelle replied

“I’m nowhere near her; let’s say I’m far better. The not insecure and the unbothered one” Airelle continues

“Ir seems you’re not in good terms with you’re a sister” Leigh notice

“Well we don’t grow up together so we grow apart” Airelle sighs

“I can’t go and meet my niece. I can’t let my sister’s current husband know I exist. You have to give my message to her. Faye needs to know I’m here.” Airelle said firmly.

“Why?” Leigh asks

“At the right time I will you let you know, the important thing is to let Faye know I’m here.” Airelle stare at Leigh

“But Faye is still asleep,” Leigh says

“I know, I will stay in the country for a while till she’s awake. I hope she wakes up soon.” Airelle clasps her hands together seems like praying.

Leigh cellphones ring as she sees the caller in the screen, its Czerene

Leigh quickly answers “Hello Czerene, Is there something wrong?”

“Leigh,” Czerene gasp before saying a word “Faye is awake” she finally says

Leigh smiles brightly and looks at Ms. Airelle who anxiously waiting.

“She’s awake. Faye is awake” Leigh almost shouts.

Ms. Airelle smiles at the news, her face brightens “Good, very good then” She commented.

“Let’s go” Leigh suddenly gets up and about to leave when Ms. Airelle holds her hand and stops her.

“Call her again, I need to talk to my niece,” Ms. Airelle said.

“What?” Leigh confuse

“I told you I can’t go there to see her.” Ms. Airelle remind her

“Oh” Leigh realize as she gets her phone and calls Czerene

Leigh hears Czerene answers the phone, “Hello” she answers

“Czerene how’s Faye?” Leigh asks

“The doctor is checking her,” Czerene said

“The doctor” Leigh repeat

“The family Doctor of Chennerster’s” Ms. Airelle seems like asking

“Czerene is it Doctor Montez?” Leigh asks

“Yes, “Czerene replied

“Good then, video call your friend” Ms. Airelle suddenly said

“Czerene I will open the video, I want to have a video call with you. I want to see Faye” Leigh said

“Okay” Czerene agrees

The video call is open; Leigh and Ms. Airelle see Faye’s room and Doctor Montez together with three nurses checking Faye’s condition.

“Doctor Montez” a voice is heard

Doctor Montez flinched as he recognizes the voice, he turns and checks where it coming from.

Doctor Montez is surprised to see Ms. Airelle on the screen,

“How are you, Doctor? It’s been years since we didn’t see each other?” Ms. Airelle smiles

“Ms. Airelle, how are you?” Dr. Monez greeted him warmly

“Did you call to check on your niece’s condition?” Dr.Montez asks

“Partly yes, I do want to know her condition. How is she?” Ms. Airelle asks

“Faye is good. She is not with herself yet, she is recovering from mental trauma she experiences. Her body needs to recover too; now she is awake. We better start the therapy for her injuries would heal and be better.” Dr. Montez suggested.

“I get it. I have one favor doctor I hope you do you’re best to heal my niece.” Ms. Airelle plead

“Further examinations will be done tomorrow. Our healing recommendations will be base on the medical results” Dr. Montez explains.

“What further test you will do, Doctor?” Ms. Airelles asks

“We will do a CT scan to know if his brain is not shaken nor damaged in the sudden collisions and impact she experiences in the accident.” Dr. Montez suggested

“Okay, I understand” Ms. Arielle answers

“Have you talked to my sister or to Faye’s stepfather about it?” Ms. Airelle continues

“No, I haven’t yet. Right now I just check her body conditions, pulse rate, heartbeat, blood pressure, hearing, eyesight, and reflexes. All is good and Faye follows my command well. I think for today I can say there’s no problem. You are the first person I talk too as Faye’s family.” Doctor Montez answers

“Doctor you know I’m not on good terms with the Chennester so please I want to check my niece that’s all. Can you please not tell them that we talk” Ms. Airelle’s voice is pleasing.

Doctor Montez sighs seem like thinking “Okay, I got it. Don’t worry” he ȧssures her.

Ms. Airelle smiles “Thank you Johnny” she answers in a sweet voice.

Doctor Montez gasps “I better go. I have a lot of work to do” he smiles timidly and excuses himself.
