Descendants Fate; Faye Nobody Heiress - Chapter 3
“What this girl even trying to do, she will fall if— Raven cut himself from thinking when he sees Faye lowering her body more like she is examining something down below those pile of rocks.
It even makes him tense and makes him shivers when he sees the girl reaching out for something down there that makes half of her body lowered down beneath the creek.
In an impulse, he quickly jumps out of his car, and the moment he does, the girl is almost down there just clinging one of his hand in a sharp, smooth rock making her hand to lose her grip, but before she does, he grabs her in her wrist.
Faye closes her eyes when she felt her hand slip off the rock.
She gasped as she felt someone warm grabbing her wrist.
She looks up, a guy struggling with all his strength to grab her up.
She quickly snaps out of her senses; she looks into the place where the poor kitty was.
Raven unable to hold on any longer he asks desperately to the girl before him
“What the heck are you doing?” he can’t even say it accurately; he’s having trouble to breathe cause the weight of the girl is no joke.
“Wait, I’m just going to get it real quick,” – she responds to impulse.
She quickly grabs the little kitty, and once she did. She pulls the guy’s wrist, giving him the signal to pull her up.
Picking her is easy since the guy is masculine and athletic, and she is fit and athletic too.
Once she is landed safely on the ground, both of them are breathing heavily, and both of their heart beats faster, and both of them can’t utter a word until they both fully recover.
Raven is the first one to speak in an angry tone, “Are you trying to kill yourself?” almost yelling. Faye’s eyes grew wider in surprise, for the guy is screaming.
Raven is looking in disgust. “That’s why I’ve had this itchy feeling,”- he mutters, also looking to the kitten.
“What?”
He about to continue what he is saying when he suddenly sneezes but still tries to talk.
“Just for that stupid kitten, you’re risking your life there. Are you not thinking? You almost fall if I didn’t grab you”… He blurts out of frustration, for he can’t believe her actions are too clumsy to risk her life for a kitten; it is not surprising anymore that the girl gives her an annoyed look.
He is in range, and he says what he says, he can’t undo it anymore and his allergies giving him a hard time. He sneezes and sneezes until his face turns red.
Hearing the word of Raven pisses her off, and she wants to talk back even if she supposed to say “thank you” for saving her, but she can’t let those words pass on through her but to her surprise, the guy fierce gaze immediately weaken, and he sneezes and sneezes until his face turns red.
Grasping the situation, he held up the kitten a little bit and drew it closer to the guy face makes him even more uncomfortable, causing him to stand up while still sneezing “what the—- are you trying to kill me now?
He asks weakly; it is hard for him to utter a word, but again, he manages while panting, looking at the girl who suddenly stops what she is doing.
He continues to sneeze and sneeze as he notices the girl stand there and looking at him intently as those stares of her become soft; it seems like worrying, but still, she hugs the kitten within her arms.
He quickly ran off to his car, breathing heavily.
Now he doesn’t know what it is the cause of his uneven breathing right now; the kitten or that soft girl stare.
“I didn’t know you have allergies,”- she says in a low, sad tone; “That’s sad.”
Still, he doesn’t know how to react; he keeps on sneezing instinctively, which he somehow thankful cause that saves him in that situation.
The girl is focus and concern about his allergies now.
For he knows he can’t take his allergies much longer too.
He quickly jumps into his car and says “I have to go” still sneezing “I have to make it out alive”; trying to put humor in his words, but he notices the girl just frowned, he doubts that she gets it; he turns on his engine
Now his breathing steadily and drive like the usual way he does.
He is not the 1st placer in car racing competition for nothing, knowing at the back of his mind that
“Tough girl,” he whispers to himself, “how I ‘am supposed to deal with you; you make it hard for me.”
The next day after Faye trying day dealing with Raven, she is at her best friend’s practice to support her.
Faye is filming her best friend, holding her video cam. Her friend is equally beautiful as her with her naturally reddish hair, thick eyelashes, pointed nose, tanned skin, wide eyes, and her eyeballs are naturally big and color mist green.
Her naturally curve and fit body shows in the riding uniform she is wearing; she is one of Faye’s best friend, “Leigh.”
Leigh is fixing her hand gloves while getting distracted because her best friend, Faye, keeps on filming her.
“Cut the crap Faye”- she sighed, she didn’t want to offend her best friend.
Faye just smiles and giggles “what? I’m filming your practice, so you know when you mess up,” smiling teasing her friend.
It’s not that Leigh hates it that she is being filmed; she is just flustered at the attention.
She appreciates her best friend’s effort to record her; she said, “Okay” while walking towards her horse.
She gets the strap and starts to command “Precious” to move and so makes the horse move.
She started moving in circles, preparing her horse to jump in one of the hurdles that are quite easy for her and Precious, then she continues to prepare to jump to the second hurdle as she becomes accompany in the movement of her horse; her movement becomes fast, steady and confident.
She swiftly take the third and fourth hurdles, now preparing for the much higher hurdle before she can command Precious to jump, a shadow covers her sight, and she suddenly shut her eyes, afraid that it may hit them, but to her surprise, she hears no commotion after that, she only hears another sound of horse landing swiftly on the ground, as she slowly opened her eyes; she quickly relaxes her horse Precious.
She manages to soothe her horse anxiety, and she strokes Precious hair for comfort.
She then looks at the person who interrupted her practice; she gives a fierce look to the guy in front of her for all she knew this guy really knows how to ruin her day.
“What do you think you’re doing, Mr.?” – She said in an irritated voice.
“Oh…” -the guy exclaims “I didn’t mean to do that” (giving her an innocent look)
“Well, in case don’t you see that I’m practicing here right now” – she said in a firm emphasizing voice.
The man just stares at her as he calms his horse, patting it on his head
“Mr.- we have scheduled for the use of this track just for you to know as of now, it’s my schedule” as she continues talking
Lexus knew that the girl in front of her is just trying to act it cool when he already knew how much she been trying to hide her irritation. He quickly interrupted her
“Ah… Is that so, That policy, Ah’ I remember, but if you read the policy, it says you can have a schedule for this track for practice, but not just ALONE, you should get a partner.”
She knew about the policy, but she doesn’t mind who will fill the other spot in her practice time; as long as she had her own peaceful time practicing, she didn’t even have any idea that Lexus would take her schedule of practice.
“See…Ms. Leigh, my friend here “Capricorn” (referring to his black stallion horse), is too excited to jump in hurdles.
“I can’t blame him if he is that fast leaving you, and you’re “Precious” off track. I didn’t mean it” – his voice is soft, slow, and endearing as he talks, he even gives an apologetic look.
She sighed as a sign; she just had enough. Deep within her, she doesn’t want to deal with this jerk in front of her and of the entire jerk she knows; this one is pretty handsome.
He is a tall, tanned skin tone (more of like a real type of guy), pointed nose, deep brown eyes.
His hair is naturally straight, causing some it falls on his forehead. His lips fit his facial features.
“Okay, fine, if you want this track. Have it; I’m no mood to practice anyway now that you are here,” Leigh snorts and turns away.
She jumps down her horse, getting the strand and leads her “Precious” to the cabin.
Lexus smile, but that soon fades when he sees the girl got down on her horse and walked to the cabin. He sighed in regret. He is looking down, playing with his fingers the strand of his horse.
A laugh heard from someone as Lexus lift his head to see his friend teasingly gaze as if he is so satisfied with what he sees; Irritated by his friend’s look.
He quickly jumps off “Capricorn” and gets its strand walking to his friend’s way, giving him a small smile.
“Ah! What’s with that look Lexus, it seems you lost in a game” (continue chuckling)
“What suppose to be funny?”- Lexus was eyeing his friend Raven in a death glare, giving him a sign to cut it out.
But Raven doesn’t seem to bothers and still continues talking. “You should have seen your face” (a loud laugh escape in his mouth) as Faye look at them (Raven and Lexus talking) she just sighed and muttered “Jerks!”
To her surprise, Leigh is already besides her, looking in the same direction, “So that jerk throws me off this track just to chat with his friend.
I thought he and his horse are so thirsty to jump the hurdles,”- she blurts out, showing her irritation.
“Well, I think he purposely does that just to piss you off, Leigh.”
Leigh crosses her hand over her ċhėst and still looks at them “well, I’m going to let him pass this
time,” she says and quickly turns back, grabbing Faye’s hands. “Let’s Go! Let’s go to Czerene.”
But when they about to go and meet Czerene, here she is walking towards them with a very heavy step, and her head bowed down as soon as she arrives in front of her friends, she faces them, she looks sad.
