Desolate World - Chapter 109
“I think you don’t have to do such a troublesome thing, Miss Aria,” Cloud said.
“You are Sofia’s mother, right? I only formulated the plan based on Ace’s claims. But, if you know a way to let us be sure they are not undead, please say it,” Arya said while looking at Cloud.
“Sure… First I want to ask. Do you know what happens if you heal undead?” Cloud asked.
“This!…,” Arya thought for a while. Then she shook her head.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know. As usually the heal spell is a targeted spell, and even the AoE heal spell like ‘area heal’ of mine can only heal my allies,” She said.
Cloud then said to Geo, “Geo, take out one of your skeleton soldiers. We need it for an experiment.”
Everyone was confused. Even some of them looked at Cloud suspiciously. However, they then heard Mars’s voice.
“I gave Ace’s kid a skill crystal of a lich that I killed a few weeks ago. Those skeletons were also some skeletons that I gave him to become his pets.”
Everyone nodded. Most of them knew the story of Mars destroying the undead’s plan to capture a parasite. They didn’t know the details. The revelation made them see Geo in a different light. Some with admiration, and not a few of them looked at him with envy. But, no one dared to look down at him anymore.
Ace was also glad Mars himself, who revealed the news. Because, he didn’t know how to disclose it. As the topic about undead was always a sensitive topic. If he, the one that disclosed it, he was afraid there would be a misunderstanding. He thanked his boss in his heart.
After hearing Cloud’s request, Geo didn’t hesitate to shake his head. He then said, “No grandma. I know you will do something bad to him.”
“It’s ok. You can revive it back, if he is dead. It’s no big deal,” Cloud tried to persuade Geo.
Ace sweated as he heard it. Somehow, the way Cloud said it felt so wrong. It seemed not just Ace that thought like that. As many people saw Cloud with strange gazes.
Cloud then coughed. She also felt her words were inappropriate, apparently, as she looked embarrassed. She then said, “It’s for helping the refugees. You know, it is necessary.”
“No! You have admitted that you will kill him,” Geo said.
“Sweetheart, it’s okay, you know. It would be okay,” Even Sofia tried to persuade her son.
“No!” He said resolutely.
It took several minutes for them to convince the kid. It’s Ace himself who asked him, so he reluctantly agreed to ‘sacrifice’ one of his skeleton pets.
Then a skeleton soldier appeared in front of everyone. Some villagers became afraid when they looked at him. But, Jordan was the one that looked so surprised. He then looked at Geo then at the kid’s father, Ace.
“Ace, is he the member of the 50 skeleton platoon that was destroyed back then?” Jordan asked.
“Yes, but they are still not at their full levels. As for the elites, they haven’t been resurrected because of the limitation of Geo’s mana. It needs a mana pool to raise them. We can only wait until the village is officially founded. So we can use the village’s mana pool to resurrect them in one go.” Ace said.
Jordan nodded with a grim expression. He then said, “I understand. But, how can you trust so much power to your small kid? Don’t you know how terrifying the platoon will be when all of the elites are raised?”
“I don’t know. But, what I know is my son will be more powerful,” Ace said while smirking.
“You are crazy,” Jordan said after shaking his head.
The commotion then stopped after they heard Aria’s voice, “Mrs. Cloud. What do you want with the skeleton?”
The skeleton was standing silently like a statue. It wouldn’t respond before Geo intended to make it do so.
Cloud smiled proudly when she heard the question, as if she wanted to announce the greatest discovery that would shake the world.
She then said, “Today, there is a belief that the healer-type profession was the best support. But because we don’t have offensive skills, we are pretty harmless in front of an enemy. But, a few days ago, I found something really interesting from an accident.
At that time, One of Geo’s skeletons was heavily damaged by a series of attacks by a monster. Then, Geo tried to heal it with his healing skill. Then a shocking thing happened. The healing skill harmed the skeleton and turned it directly into piles of bones. In another word, Geo killed the skeleton by healing it.
After that, I tried to heal another skeleton with my healing skill. Although, it couldn’t kill the skeleton. It dealt double damage to the skeleton. Maybe some people have discovered this phenomenon, but the news has never spread.”
Aria’s and other angels’ eyes then glowed. They looked excited. Ace was also surprised. Although he had known this trick in a classic RPG game, he had never thought it could be implemented in this world.
It was such a simple thing. But, who will try to heal his enemies deliberately? Only a pervert would do something like this. As people who had Geo’s circumstances were very rare. However, all people knew the effect of this discovery would be vital in the war against the undead in the future. The healers might be the key to victory at that time.
“Let me demonstrate it in front of you. As my healing skill is ‘continuous heal’, it wouldn’t harm the skeleton too much,” Cloud said.
Cloud then used his healing skill on the skeleton.

The skeleton seemed to be uncomfortable, but it didn’t try to avoid it or fight back, although it was damaged.
Then she stopped healing it. In Ace’s recollection, the level of Cloud’s continuous heal was 4. So, she could heal someone with 17.5% of her magic value per second. Because of that, the damage looked so low.
