Desolate World - Chapter 98
After that, they did what the husband and wife were supposed to do. After a few rounds of exercise, they fell asleep. After they started to ‘play’ The Desolate World, they seldom did it. Furthermore, after they were ‘trapped’ into this world, they never had private time. So, in the two nights since they got a new house, they always ‘entertained’ each other.
The next day he talked to his brother and Adrian about the recruitment plan. The two agreed right away. Sampson got many friends among the villagers after working with them for a few weeks, so he guaranteed to get the most suitable people among the villagers.
Sofia on another hand also could persuade her son and mother to do daily cleaning in the area near the village to prevent any more monster attacks on the villagers.

After flying for an hour, Ace still didn’t find anything that attracted his attention. However, because he was in ‘autopilot’ mode, the time seemed to pass really quickly.
He met many monsters along the way, but he ignored them. He would only stop if he met monsters with levels more than level 20. However, since he started his journey, he only met with the tiger-type monster that he used to train his ice bullet skill.
One of the reasons he didn’t want to target the monster below level 20 was because he had too many monster cores at the moment. It would take him for at least a month to use them up. And what he lacked at the moment was level 20 monster cores.
From his experience when meditating, the higher the level of the monster core, the more effective his meditation was, and the more experience he would get. Of course, he could compensate for the quality of the monster core with the quantity. But it only worked a few times.
When he used level 3 ant’s core for meditation a few times, he realized that the experience that he got became less and less. And at a point, he only wasted his time and monster core by doing so, because the experience that he got was so insignificant that he preferred to kill a monster with the same level as the monster core than using 100 of the monster cores.
At the moment, only by using monster cores with level 15 above he did not feel to lose money. He chose this level of monster cores to meditate these few days.
As he was in ‘autopilot’ mode once again, he felt a sudden thread. As he wanted to fly higher, it was too late, some projectile objects targeted some of his bats and killed them.
In an instant, he came back to his original form. He wasn’t afraid to fall from a dozen meters high, but he needed to know from where he was attacked. Because, for some reason, he couldn’t locate his enemy.
Then he saw black objects flying at high velocity to him from his front. Instinctively, he took a king card and activated it in front of him.

Five pretty big needles hit his barrier and dissolve it. But, it made him know the location of the attacker.
‘What is that?’ Ace didn’t
In fact, he couldn’t see his attacker clearly, as he only saw a dark humanoid ejecting the needles from his hands. Yes, he didn’t throw them, but the needles just came off his hand.
As Ace wanted to attack with his cards, the black humanoid ‘sunk’ to the ground. It made Ace widen his eyes.
“What the hell am I fighting with?” Ace murmured.
When Ace’s feet finally landed on the ground, he felt a dangerous premonition from behind him. Ace then threw the cards in his hands to behind without hesitation.

“Uh…,” Ace heard a man’s voice from behind.
Knowing his attacks hit the enemy, he took a few steps forward and then turned his body, while preparing his next two cards. Unfortunately one of the cards was a Queen card. He then hurriedly shuffled it again and waited for a new card to be drawn.
He then saw him again. He was a pitch-black creature. His body was covered by a black clothes like a ninja’s. His pupils were dark purple. He had pretty long and thick hair, as his face was somewhat like normal people.
What Ace felt palpitation was his two hands had very sharp looking straight quite long claws. And he was barefoot. He seemed to want to attack Ace’s back in the beginning. But he didn’t expect Ace to attack him first.
Ace then checked his information.
[Jordan Voidcrow] (elite)
Race: Shadow (Stalker)
Level: 37
‘Shadow? What is it?’ Ace asked in his heart.
Ace then saw Jordan’s body sink into the ground once more. However, he didn’t let him go. He took a Jack card from his belt with his free hand and threw it to the body of Jordan’s half sinking body.

Some black tentacles then bound his body, but it didn’t stop the sinking body of Jordan.
Ace knew his attempt to restrain him failed. He then decided to run to a nearby tree and stood with his back facing its trunk. He did it to avoid the same situation where Jordan appeared behind his back to attack him.
A second, three seconds, and then seven seconds passed. And Jordan didn’t appear again. But Ace felt he was still there. Examining him, maybe waiting for a perfect time to attack. He didn’t know.
He couldn’t hear anything suspicious. Even in the previous attacks of Jordan, he didn’t hear any sound at all. Even when he moved to another location, he didn’t cause any sound at all.
Ace could feel his heartbeat quickening. He was panicking. He never met an opponent as tricky as Jordan.
‘Is he an assassin or thief-based creature? And shadow, is he a demon?’ Ace made one after the other speculations. But, he couldn’t make sure of their accuracy.
What was the person most feared? It was the unknown. Ace, who had always enjoyed the advantages of his senses, felt uncomfortable when his senses couldn’t detect anything. He couldn’t help but put his alertness to the maximum. As he didn’t know from where he would be attacked.
