Destined Lovers - Chapter 2

She opens her eyes and sits up; gasping. she turns on the lights on. She checks her surrounding. She then feels relieved that she’s home. (Again?) She gets out of bed and head to shower. After she showers, she changed and went downstairs. “Ah. Iris you’re up. I was just about to wake you up.” “Is breakfast ready?” “Yes. But before that, can you go and wake Haru up?” “Uhh sure.” She heads upstairs to Haru’s room. She knocks on the door. “Haru..?” No answer. She bangs on the door. “Haru! Haru! You in there?!!! Hello!?!Did you die in your sleep?!!” The door opens. Haru comes out and glare at Iris. “Is that a way to wake your brother up?” She ignores him and said, “breakfast.” She turns around and left. He sighs. He returned to his room to change. Once he comes down, he only see Mary. He looks around secretly. “If you looking for Iris, she’s left already, Young Master.” He startled and straighten his posture and said, “Who said I’m looking for that dweeb?” He begins to eat his breakfast. Mary just smiles. “Have fun on your last day of school.” “Mm.” Haru go to school and enters his classroom. He sees Iris in her desk; talking and laughing with her friends, Aimee and Cera. (So..she can laugh like that.) once the class starts, the teacher came in to congratulate them for graduating high school and encourage them to continue their studies. They begin to hold the graduation ceremony. Soon iris secretly left the ceremony and went home. She went to her room to pack her bag. She then go downstairs and left a letter on the dinner table. She was about to walked out of the door but she turns around and take one last look around the house. (This is where I spent my childhood. Where I met the old man, Maya, Harold, Mary, Ivan and lastly…Haru…this is where it ends…goodbye. ) she left the house.

at the ceremony, the teacher calls for Iris. But no sign of her. Maya looks at Harold. “Where’s Iris?” “She will be fine. She’s probably in the restroom.” Another teacher came tot he stage and said, “I apologize, Iris is ill so she left. Let’s continue.” Haru got confused. (She’s ill? But this morning….she looks fine.) soon it’s Haru’s turn to walk to the stage to receive his high school diploma. He then return to his parents. They took a photo. “Let’s go home.” Haru’s friend, Ethan, calls for Haru to hang out with them. “Go ahead honey. Be home at seven for dinner.” “Okay.” Haru and his friends went to karaoke. But haru kept looking at his cellphone. He texts Iris but no reply. He snuck out and head home. “I’m home.” He looks up and sees a dead atmosphere. He sees his mom crying. “What’s wrong?” His grandfather hands him the paper. Haru reads it. His eyes widened. “No. It’s not true.” “Haru. She left.” “Youre wrong!” Haru drops the paper and left the house to find Iris. The letter drops onto the floor.

Letter: Dear Lu Family,

Thank you for taking care of me until now. There’s something I need to do. I’m sorry I didn’t say goodbye to you all. No need to worry about me. I am fine on my own. I will call once I’m settled. Thank you. Sincerely Iris.

Haru looks everywhere Iris might be but she’s no where to be found. “No. It’s not true. Iris!” He ran to the park, the school, and her favorite caf shop. Still no sign of her. It’s starting to pour rain. Ivan, the Butler, came with the umbrella. “Young Master.” “Shes gone. She’s gone, Ivan.” Ivan never see Haru opening up to anyone until Iris shows up. Ivan said, “Be the successor of the Lu family, then we will be able to find her, Young Master.” Haru thought about it. He took Ivan’s advice. “I’ll do it.” (And I will find you, Iris. This time I won’t let you go. Even if you want to leave.)

7 years later…

Haru is now successful heir taking over his father’s company. He kept searching for iris’s whereabouts but still nothing. He sighs. (Just where are you, Iris?)

Haru never stop looking for Iris. Soon a woman bumps into him in order to chase a thief. Haru fell down. Ivan helps haru to stand up. The woman caught the thief. The thief tries to attack her but she dodge it and kick him in the gut. “Owww.” She handcuff him. “You’re coming with us to the station.” Her partner, Molly, came in running, catching up her breath. “Oh my. Iris. You sure run fast.” Iris smiles. Another partner appears, Lyle. “I’ll take over, Iris.” “Okay.” she leaves the thief to Lyle’s hands. She then heads to Molly. “You okay?” “Oh…(gasping) I’m fine. Really?” Iris laughs. Ivan then said, “t-that’s Lady Iris.” Haru looks up and sees her in a police officer uniform. (She’s an officer..?) She was about to leave with Molly. He then calls her name. “Iris.” She stops and turns around. Her eyes met his. (…Haru…What is he doing here?)
