Destined Lovers - Chapter 7

Iris can barely sleep due to Haru’s kiss last night. Before she gets out of the bed. She freezes. “Wait, did he just called me, Meera….how did…” She gets up and head to Haru’s room. She enters without knocking. “Haru!” Their eyes met. She sees his wet naked chest with a towel around his waist. He smiles. “Oh. It seems like you’re enjoy staring my body. You can stare all you want.” Shes smiles and said, “Hmm. Your body is not bad. But I like Ivan’s better. Ah take your time then we’ll talk.” She closes the door. She heads back to her room. She closes the door. “Oh my god. What did I see?” She covers her face with both of her hands. “Calm down, Meera.” Iris changes her clothes and head downstairs to the dinner table.

Haru was speechless for a minute because what she said then he laughs. (The look on her face.) “Wait, she said Ivan’s body is better than mine..?” Haru checks himself in the mirror. “It can’t be, can it? I probably thinking too much.” Haru is fully dressed and heads out but he ran into Ivan. “Ah Young Master, Lady Iris is waiting for you at the dinner table.” Haru looks at Ivan chest. He puts his hand on his lips. “Hmmm…” (Does he really have a better body than me?) “Ahem. Young Master?” Haru startles. “R-right.” Haru comes downstairs and heads to the dinner table. He sits across from her. “What is it that you barge in my room, Iris?” “I want you to find someone for me.” “Who is it?” “It’s none of your business. Just find him.” She puts a piece of paper on the table. “Her name and her birthday is on here. Find her for me.” She finishes eating and stands up. “Ah, right. Stop putting your nose into somewhere it shouldn’t be.” She glares at him and left the room. Ivan then brings the paper to Haru. Haru opens the piece of paper. “Hannah Nakamura…”

Iris heads back to that place. As she arrives, she sees a man standing there. Iris hides behind a tree. She watches him afar. (Who is he? Why is he here?) Soon she realizes that man is her Uncle Meng. A few minutes, he left, she then heads back to the station. She heads to her office and decides to look up for Yasmin. It turns out Yasmin, is a daughter of the Kudo family, who was supposed to marry to Keith Lu. “Wait, Keith Lu..?” She researches him and finds out that Keith and Harold are half siblings. She even pulls out that an article that has a photo of Keith, Yasmin, and her uncle Meng. (Uncle Meng kills her because of what..? And what about mom?) She decides to head to the university that all three of them went to. (Maybe I can find the answer there.)

Iris arrives at the university. She then asks around for the office. One student helps her to find the office. She greets the staff. “Hi, I’m Iris. I called earlier about Yasmin.” “Ah yes. Hold on a second.” The lady went to inform the headmaster. A few minutes later, she returns. “You can go in.” She nods and head to the office. “Hi, I’m Iris.” “Hi Iris, call me Mary.” Iris takes a seat. “When Yasmin was in school, did you notice anything different about her? Maybe her behaviors towards someone?” “No. She’s a very good girl. It’s sad to hear one of our students got killed.” “Who is she close to?” “She’s very bright young gal. She’s always with Keith and Meng.” “Any strange behaviors between them?” Mary thinks about it. “Yes. There is.” “What is it?” “Meng and Keith had a fight, but we don’t know what the reason was.” “I see.” “What kind of student Yasmin was?” “She’s a good student, top of all of her class. She was Keith’s girlfriend. He even proposed to her after they graduate. But the wedding never happen.” “How come.?” “…She didn’t show up.” “When was the wedding?” “It was….hold on a minute, I think I still have the invitation.” She gets up and went over her desk. She pulls one of the drawers. “Ah here it is.” She grabs it and hand it to Iris. Iris’s eyes widened. [March 6, 1999!] (That’s when…they got killed…) Iris stays calm. “Did Meng come to the wedding also?” “…For Meng…he did for a bit. Then he left but he never came back.” Iris recalls what her uncle wore that day. She asked, “Is he Keith’s best man?” “Yes he was.” “I see. That will be all.” “Yes.” Iris hands back the invitation back to Mary. “Thank you for your time, Mary.” “Not at all.” Iris left the office. She was about to leave the university, but there’s a student waiting for her. “Is she really dead?” “Who?” “Yasmin.” “Yes. Are you a friend of hers?” “Yes. My name is Heather.” “Do you see anything strange?” “She told me everything. She even told me that she….” She looks around her surrounding. “What is it?” “She saw them making out.” “Them..?” “Keith and Meng.” “They were….making out.” “Yes.” She takes out her cellphone and tries to find something. “Here.” It’s a video of Keith and Meng making out. (Then…..uncle kills her because she’s going to marry him….is he alone on this or are they in together? But….) She replays the video a couple times. (That person doesn’t look like Uncle. It’s pixelated. Meaning…its not him. Someone edited this video.) “Can you send me the video?” “You can have the cellphone. It’s not mine.” “It’s not?” “It’s Yasmin’s.” “Does she have a diary or any sort?” “She was my roommate. Let’s go to the dorm. You can take anything as a evidence as you like.” “Thank you.” She follows Heather to the dorms.

Heather opens the door. “You can go in first.” “Thank you.” Iris goes in. Heather looks around her surroundings. She then shuts the door. “The video. It was you, wasn’t it?” Heather startles. “What do you mean?” “You’re the one who making out with Keith. You’re the one who kill Yasmin, not Meng.” She grabs something and tries to hit Iris on back of her head.
