“Mom?” Tyler called his mom. “Yes, son.” Aly replied. “Can we talk?” Tyler asked. “Sure, about what?” Aly asked though she knew what would it be.

“Do you still love dad?” Tyler asked. Caden was also there, only listening. “Yes, I still love him.” Aly said. “Why?” Aly continued. “How about Uncle Brett!” Tyler asked. Aly kept her silence for a few minutes.

“I hardly knew Uncle Brett, we only met few days ago. I can’t say I like him or I hate him.” Aly said. “Why is he courting you?” Tyler asked. “He said he liked me.” Aly answered. “Why?” Tyler asked. “Honestly, I don’t know, son.” Aly replied. Tyler sighed. “I hope Uncle Brett will not hurt you.” Tyler said. “I hope so too, son.” Aly said.

Caden fell asleep on the couch. Aly and Tyler carried him to his room. “Your brother is too heavy.” Aly said. “Yes, Mom, I feel you.” Tyler said and they both laughed.

After fetching her sons to school, Aly stopped by the grocery because she’s in charged of the laundry’s lunch today. As she was walking around the place, looking for ingredients, she can feel that someone was looking at her. She looked around but no one is familiar to her. She shrugged her shoulders and moved on.

“Mr. Salazar, your supplies are almost packed, I hope you can wait a little longer.” The manager of the grocery said. “It’s ok, I’ll just looked around while waiting.” Aiden said. “Thank you, Sir.” The manager said.

“Ma’am, you’re really lucky today. You’ve talked to Mr. Salazar.” The cashier said with romantic excitement. “Yeah, I was really nervous a while ago. He’s so hot.” The manager said. “Yes and very handsome too. How I wish I could be in his embrace.” The cashier said. “In our dreams.” The manager said and both of them sighed.

Aaron looked around while waiting for his supplies. He dropped by the grocery to buy the things his restaurant needs. While roaming around, he saw a familiar face. He smiled and followed her wherever she goes.

Aly is almost done with her grocery. She decided to cook creamy garlic mushroom chicken. She’s busy looking for garlic powder when she bumped into someone with her push cart. “Oh, I’m sorry. It’s my fault.” Aly said and looked at the person in front of her. “It’s ok, It’s also my fault. I was looking for someone and I was not careful.” Aaron said smiling. “Does it hurt?” Aly asked. “Not at all.” Aaron replied. “By the way, I’m…” Aaron wasn’t able to finish his sentence because Aly heard her phone ringing and excused herself. “We’ll meet again, my beautiful goddess.” Aaron said inwardly.

“Ma’am!?” Amelia said screaming on the phone. Aly put a distance to her ear from her phone. “Hey! My ear will burst because of your voice.” Aly said. “I’m sorry, Ma’am. I’m just excited.” Amelia said. “And why?” Aly asked while going inside her car. “Come here quickly and you will see.” Amelia said and ended the call. Aly furrowed her brow. “What could it be? She will only be excited if she has a new suitor or there’s a new handsome client.” Aly said to herself and shrugged her shoulders.

“Miss Aly Andrada!” Amelia said seeing Aly entering the shop. “Yes?” Aly said. “Is there something you want to tell me?” Amelia said with her raised brow. “Tell you what?” Aly asked while going up to her office. “That!?” Amelia said pointing the bouquet of flowers and box of chocolates on her table. Aly’s forehead creased. She moved towards her table puzzled. When she saw the card and read it, she smiled. “Yesterday you’re confused, yet now your eyes are twinkling.” Amelia said teasing Aly. “What’s behind those eyes?” Amelia continued and Aly blushed.

“Brett is courting me and I think today is the start.” Aly said looking at the flowers. “That fast?” Amelia asked. “Yeah. I was also surprised when he said it yesterday.” Aly said. “Do Tyler and Caden knew?” Amelia asked. “Yes. I think Brett talked to them yesterday.” Aly said. “And?” Amelia asked. “I think it’s ok with them.” Aly said. “That’s good to know.” Amelia said.

“How about you?” Amelia asked. “What about me?” Aly said. “Are you going to give him a shot or include him on your “dumped suitors lists”? Amelia said. “I don’t know.” Aly said that made Amelia’s brows raised. “What you don’t know?” Amelia asked. “I like his company. I love his daughters.” Aly said and Amelia smiled. “Then give him a shot.” Amelia said. “But Im afraid.” Aly said seriously. “Aly, love is a gamble. Either you win or lose. If you win, be happy. If you lose, learn from it. It’s been five years. Give your heart a break.” Amelia said. “What if he’ll also leave me?” Aly asked. “We do not know what will happen tomorrow, only God knows. In every situation that had happened or will happen in our lives, there’s always a reason.” Amelia said. Aly sighed.

Aly is busy cooking their lunch when her phone rang. She looked at it and when she saw who’s calling, she felt excited. “Hello!” Aly said. “Hi! Did you like it?” Brett asked. “Yes! Thank you.” Aly said and Brett smiled.

“Ahm, are you free today? Can I ask you for a lunch date?” Brett asked nervously. Aly blushed. “I’m sorry but I’m really busy right now.” Aly said that made Brett dropped his shoulders. “But if you want, you can come here at the shop. We can eat lunch here together. I’m the cook for today so I’m busy preparing our food.” Aly said that made Brett smiled widely. “Ok, I’ll be there in a minute. Ah, no, no, give me thirty minutes.” Brett said happily. Aly giggled feeling Brett’s excitement.

Aly finished cooking. She told her staff that they will have a visitor who’s joining them for lunch. Amelia smiled at Aly meaningfully. Aly rolled her eyes.

Brett reached the laundry shop five minutes before twelve. He bought two gallons of ice cream for their dessert.

“Good afternoon, Sir.” The staffs spoke at once. “Good afternoon too. Im sorry if I will be a nuisance for you today.” Brett said scratching his head. “It’s our pleasure, Sir.”

Amelia said. “Please take your seats now.” Aly said.

After finishing their lunch, Lily served the ice cream. “Thank you for the dessert, Sir.” The staffs spoke at once. “You’re welcome.” Brett said. “You should go here regularly so we will have our dessert every time.” Emily said joking. “If your beautiful boss here will allow me then I’ll be in charge of your everyday dessert.” Brett said looking at Aly. “Oh, she will surely allow it. You’re always welcome to come here.” Amelia said smiling. Aly pinched Amelia side. “See, she already said yes.” Amelia said. Aly rolled her eyes. The shop was filled with teasing and laughers.
