Destined to be yours… - Chapter 24
Aly and the kids did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen while Brett and Dave sat on the bar counter to drink. Aly put Aria and Caden to bed. After Dave felt a little tipsy, he bid his goodbye to the couple to avoid becoming drank.
Brett went towards his room to take a bath to lessen the effect of the beer they drank. At the same time, Aly went to her room to take a shower.
While Aly is taking her shower, Brett entered her room and laid down. He closed his eyes because he’s a little dizzy. Aly went out of the bath and her steps were halted seeing him lying on her bed. She furrowed her brow and moved towards Brett.
“Brett?” Aly said patting his shoulder. “Hhhmmm…” Brett’s replied. “Why are you here? Go to your room and sleep there.” Aly said tightening her grip on the towel wrapped around her body. “I’m dizzy.” Brett said without opening his eyes. “Do you want coffee?” Aly asked. “Later. I’ll just lay here for a moment.” Brett said. “Ok.” Aly said. She was startled when Brett reached her waist and put her beside him.
“Hey, I need to change, let go.” Aly said aftraid that the towel might expose her body. “I’ll just hug you.” Brett said encircling his arms around her. Aly sighed, she didn’t dare to move more.
Brett burried his face on Aly’s neck. Aly’s scent made him more dizzy and felt sleepy. He wanted to do more but his body wanted to rest. Later on, Brett was in deep slumber.
Aly felt that the person beside her was on his own dreamland. She smiled and little by little, she got up from bed and wore a comfortable clothes.
While preparing to lay beside Brett, her phone rang. Harper is calling. To avoid disturbing Brett’s sleep, she went outside.
“Hello, my sweet.” Aly said. “Hi, Auntie. I called to inform you that we’ll be in school at nine in the morning.” Harper said. “Ok, we’ll fetch you and Tyler.” Aly said. “How’s dad, Auntie?” Harper. “He’s better now. The fever is gone.” Aly said. “Thank you, Auntie, for taking care of Dad and Aria.” Harper said. “No problem, you’re always welcome.” Aly said. “Ok, Auntie, see you tomorrow.” Harper said and ended the call.
Aly went back of the room. Seeing Brett’s still sleeping like a child, she smiled. She laid beside him, faced him, and looked at him intently. She touched his eyes, nose, and then his lips. She gave him a quick kiss but was shocked when Brett opened his eyes.
“Be thankful, I’m really not in the mood to make you mine right now. I’m really sleepy but the next time you do that, I’ll squeeze all your sweetness, living nothing for tomorrow.” Brett said and closed his eyes again. Aly felt relieved and smiled sensing that Brett slept again. She burried her face on his neck and automatically, Brett’s hands encircled her body and they both dozed off.
Brett felt he had the best sleep ever. Feeling Aly’s face on his neck made him smiled. “It’s great to wake up in the morning having you here beside me. I want my everyday be like this.” Brett murmured and kissed Aly’s forehead.
Aly sensed that Brett was already awake. She raised her head and smiled. “Morning.” Aly said. Brett will kiss Aly’s lips but the latter covered it. “Bad breath.” Aly said shyly. Brett smiled and removed her hands covering her lips. Brett lowered his head to reach Aly’s face and kissed her.
“Harper called last night. We’ll fetch them later.” Aly said, her face on Brett’s chest, listening on his heartbeats. “Ok.” Brett said stroking her back. “I’ll drive.” Aly said. Brett’s furrowed his forehead. “I can drive.” Brett said. “No, don’t be hardheaded. Be a good boy.” Aly said winking at Brett. “On one condition.” Brett said smiling and pout his lips asking a kiss from Aly. Aly smiled and again, they shared intensed kisses.
Brett took a bath while Aly prepared their breakfast. She woke up the kids and together they ate. Aly and the kids took their baths and soon, the four of them were on the car going to Bluestone Academy.
Not long, they reached the school, at the same time, the bus of the retreaters came too.
“Dad!” Harper said running towards his father. “Mommy!” Tyler said giving a hug to his mom. “How’s the retreat?” Aly asked. “It’s really enjoyable and fun, Auntie.” Harper answered. “Miss me, little brother?” Tyler asked Caden, messing his hair. “Not at all.” Caden said but hugging his big brother. “Really, huh.” Tyler said smiling.
“Big sister Harper, Mommy Aly cooked for us and she took care of us.” Aria said. “Yeah, I know. I’m jealous. I wanted to taste Auntie Aly’s meal too.” Harper said pouting her lips. “Don’t worry, my sweet, I’ll cook for you later.” Aly said that made Harper smiled brightly.
“Are you tired?” Aly asked Harper and Tyler. “A little, Mom. But that’s ok. We still don’t have classes tomorrow.” Tyler said. “Yeah, but we’ll have a Saturday class.” Harper said. “How about Caden and Aria?” Brett asked. “The teacher said that they’ll have a text brigade to inform that tomorrow there’ll be no classes for all levels.” Harper said. “Yehey! That means we can stay at Granny’s house?” Aria said excitedly. Brett and Aly looked at each other.
“My sweet, tomorrow, even you don’t have classes, your dad and I are coming back to work.” Aly said. “But why, I thought we could play longer with Big brother Tyler and Caden.” Aria said sadly. “Sweetheart, we need to go back to our offices because if not, Uncle Dave and Auntie Amelia will get angry with us.” Brett said stroking Aria’s head. Aria kept quiet. “What about this, on Sunday, we’ll watch a movie and dine out to your favourite place.” Aly said that made Aria happy. “Ok, Auntie, that’s a promise?” Aria said. “Yeah, that’s a promise.” Aly said.
They then went inside the car, drove home for Harper and Tyler to change and got off going to the old house.
