Destined to be yours… - Chapter 38
Brett is still rejoicing when the manager guided them to their respective rooms. Aly is still hesitant but can’t do nothing because the rooms were all occupied.
“Mom, what time are we going to see dad tomorrow?” Caden asked. “After breakfast, sweetheart.” Aly said. “Can Big Sister Harper and Aria come.” Caden asked and Aly looked at Brett. “We’ll be going to your dad first and then we’ll be going next to Harper and Aria’s mom on the mountain.” Brett said. Caden became excited when he heard about the mountain.
“Is it high up there, Uncle?” Caden asked curiously. “Not really. We can bring your mom’s car then walk a little.” Brett answered.
“Caden!” Aria called. “Let’s play.” Aria continued. “Coming.” Caden said and left the couple.
Aly arranged Brett’s and her clothes on the closet then go the kids rooms to arrange their clothes too. After a while, they were called by one of the staff because lunch was ready and already served. They enjoy a full meal course. After eating, the kids continued to play while the adults took their seats on the gazebo.
“What time will you be leaving tomorrow?” Mrs. Navarro asked. “After breakfast, Auntie.” Aly said. “Are you two going together?” Mrs. Andrada asked. “Yes, Mom. We’ll go first at the center of the beach then to the mountain. “Are you staying there?” Mrs. Navarro asked. “It depends on Aly if she wants to stay there. The kids will probably want it.” Brett said. “The view there is beautiful, I think Aly will love it.” Mrs. Navarro said looking at Aly. “If the kids will like it, then, maybe we can stay for a night.” Aly said looking at Brett. “That’s good. You should have more time to be with each other and the kids too, though, I can see that they are really close.” Mrs. Navarro said looking at their grandchildren.
They continued chitchatting until the old couples decided to take a nap. Brett and Aly’s siblings decided to join the kids in playing. Brett and Aly were left at the gazebo.
Brett laid down making Aly’s lap his pillow. Aly is stroking Brett’s hair.
“How did you meet your late husband?” Brett said while holding Aly’s hands. We were college classmates. We became friends then lovers. You?” Aly asked. “We met at work.” Brett said.
“Do you think they’re fine seeing us here together?” Aly said touching Brett’s eyes that were closed. “I think so, perhaps, they were the ones who made this happen.” Brett said smiling. He opened his eyes and looked at Aly intently. “Don’t think too much. They are in good hands now. They will really rest in peace if they will see us moving on.” Brett said while touching Aly’s cheeks. Aly nodded and plant a soft kiss on Brett’s forehead. He smiled and cupped Aly’s face and kissed her tenderly.
“Uncle, I told you not to kiss Mommy infront of us.” Caden said, hands on his waist. Brett and Aly laughed on Caden’s position. “Oh, I’m sorry. I really can’t resist your mom’s charms.” Brett said smiling. “Ok, I’ll forgive you but…!” Caden said. “But?” Brett asked. “Help us build a big sand castle.” Caden said pointing the sand. “Ok! Let’s do it.” Brett said then pulled Aly going to the beachfront. Caden ran happily towards the group who are starting to build their castles. “Daddy Brett will help us, Daddy Brett will help us.” Caden singing while jumping out of happiness. Brett looked at Aly with a wide smile on his handsome face hearing what Caden said. Aly gave him a thumbs up sign.
Dinner was served and they ate altogether.
After the sumptuous meal, desserts were served for the kids and wines for the adults.
“Dad, wake up us early tomorrow.” Aria said. “Ok, sweetheart.” Brett said. “Tyler and Caden will love the mountain. Are we staying there?” Harper asked. “Yes.” Brett said. “I’m really excited.” Aria said smiling while munching her tiramisu.
At the gazebo, Brett and Aly, with the kids are chatting. The rest of their families go to sleep early because of tiredness. Since it’s the first time for Aly and her sons joining Brett and his daughters going to the mountain, the two girls are telling the two boys excitedly about the activities they can do after visiting their mother’s tomb.
“We can do mountain climbing, trekking, and there’s a zipline too.” Aria said. “I’m afraid of heights.” Caden said. “Don’t worry, you’ll enjoy it. Before, I was afraid too but once I’ve tried, my fear faded and tried it more.” Aria said. “And we can also do camping and bonfire.” Harper said. “Really, we can bring marshmallows then.” Tyler said. “It’s for free there once you entered the camp site.” Harper said. The four youngsters are already imagining that they will really have fun tomorrow.
When Aria yawned, the rest follow so Aly decided to let them sleep.
“Tyler, you’re room is big, right?” Aly asked that made Brett looked at her. “Oh, no, no.” Brett said inwardly. “Yes, Mom, why?” Tyler asked curiously. “Ahm, can I sleep there?” Aly said that made Brett frowned. “What about, Uncle Brett?” Caden asked. Brett saw hope and his eyes twinkled. “Ahm, he’s a grown up man so he can sleep on his own.” Aly said. Brett frowned again. “But Granny and Manu told us that you’ll be sleeping together.” Aria said that made Aly’s eyes widely opened. Brett felt triumphant again.
“It’s ok with you?” Aly asked the kids and they all nodded. “You slept together already when we were on the beach vacation and in our home. We like to have our baby brother and baby sister soon.” Caden said innocently. Aly blushed. “What the hell did mom and mama told this kids?” Aly asked inwardly. Brett giggled. Aly gave him angry squint.
“Good night.” The four youngsters spoke at once and entered their rooms. Aly and Brett were left outside. Aly still can’t believe the tandem of her mother and Brett’s mother. Brett is whistling. Aly just shaked her head
