“Alllllyyyy!” Amelia controlled her voice so as not to be heard by the whole laundry staff. “Morning! What’s the matter with you?” Aly said curiously. “Dessert case solved!” Amelia said. Aly raised her brow. “What do you mean?” Aly said. “Just go upstairs, someone’s waiting for you. And there, you will know what I’m saying.” Amelia said.

“By the way, where’s Brett?” Amelia continued. “He already left. Dave called him because he needs to sign some documents but he will be here soon after. He’s really a hard headed man. I told him not to but he doesn’t want to leave me.” Aly said. “That’s what you call LOVE.” Amelia said. “Poor him, you’re already taken and so much in love with Brett.” Amelia said. “What?” Aly asked. “Just go to your office.” Amelia said.

While driving, Brett’s phone rang. “Hello. What’s up?” Brett asked the other line. “My men reported that there’s someone who entered the laundry. He’s decent enough but I have a gut feeling you should be there.” Luke said. Brett unknowingly stepped on his brakes making squeaking sound. “What’s that?” Luke asked hearing the sound. “Nothing. Ok, I’ll come back.” Brett said making a u-turn. “Bro, calm down, ok? Just observe him. Don’t do foolish things that will hinder our investigations.” Luke said. “I’ll try but I can’t promise.” Brett said. Luke sighed. “My men are always ready. Just give them the signal if anything happens.” Luke said. “Ok, thanks, Bro.” Brett said and ended the call.

Brett dialled Dave’s number and the latter answered it immediately. “I can’t be there today, Luke called me. Aly had a visitor and I think I have to deal with him.” Brett said that Dave quickly understood. “Do you want me to come?” Dave asked. “No, I can handle it. Besides, Luke’s men are already there. Just come to the house later and bring the documents I needed to sign.” Brett said. “Ok, just call me if anything happens.” Dave said and the call was ended.

Aly opened the door and saw someone sitting on the couch. The man was busy reading a magazine but when Aly entered her office, he stood up and smiled.

Aly can’t remember his name but the man infront of her is somewhat familiar. She must say he’s handsome. A tall, dark, good looking one.

“Good morning, I’m really sorry but I can’t remember your name though you looked familiar.” Aly said. Aiden felt a little disappointed but still wore a smile. “I’m Aiden, Scarlet’s cousin. We met at the grocery, though not properly introduced. We also met at Navarro’s house. Brett’s sister is a friend of Scarlet.” Aiden said. “Oh, I remember. Please take a seat. How can I help you?” Aly said smiling. Aiden was dumbfounded. “Aiden?” Aly called that brought back Aiden to his senses. “Oh, I’m sorry. You’re really beautiful.” Aiden said that made Aly blushed.

“I’m here for this.” Aiden said giving a bag of desserts to Aly that made the latter be surprised. “You mean, you’re the one?” Aly said curiously. Aiden scratches his head. “Yeah, I’m sorry if I had to do that. I don’t mean any harm. I just want to make friends but I don’t have the courage to do it personally. So, I let my staff delivered it daily as a courier. I’m sorry.” Aiden said with a pitiful look.

Aly smiled. “It’s ok. We really enjoyed your free dessert everyday. Are you also the one who gave me a free dessert at the restaurant before?” Aly asked. “Yeah, it’s mine.” Aiden said. “Really? The food there were great.” Aly said. “Thank you. You can come again if you have time.” Aiden said.

Both of them looked at the door when it suddenly opened. Brett came in. Aly became alarmed because her possessive boyfriend might do something stupid.

“Hi there, my love, I already missed you so I came back right away.” Brett said walking towards Aly not giving any attention to Aiden. As if his girlfriend is alone. He embraced Aly and gave a kissed. Aly thought it was only a peck but the kiss was passionate. Aly’s eyes opened widely. Aiden felt awkward.

“Ouch!” Brett said while touching his side. Aly pinched him to stop the kiss. “Brett, meet Aiden. Aiden this is…” Aly didn’t finished her sentence because Brett cut in. “I’m his husband. See this?” Brett said raising his hand and Aly’s hand showing their ring. Aly rolled her eyes. “Oh.” The only response Aiden made.

“So, what brought you here, Aiden?” Brett said. They were sitting at the couch facing each other. Brett’s hands were encircled on Aly’s waist. Aly didn’t removed Brett’s hands because she’s one hundred percent sure that her man will throw his tantrums even Aiden is there.

“I’m the one who’s sending Aly the desserts. It doesn’t mean nothing, I just want to make friends.” Aiden said. Brett only shaked his head. “Anyway, I have to go. I needed to come back to my office. I just brought the desserts here personally.” Aiden said and stood up.

“Thanks Aiden.” Aly said. “You’re welcome.” Aiden said. Brett became serious.

“Aiden, I think you should stop sending my wife your desserts. It’s a waste of time and money. I can do it on your behalf.” Brett said seriously. Aiden only nodded to avoid any misunderstanding. Aly looked at Brett and the latter only shrugged his shoulders.

“You’re really brutal.” Aly said with an angry tone. “What did I do?” Brett asked innocently. “Yesterday it was the delivery man, now it’s Aiden. Can’t you be more polite sometimes?” Aly said. “He came here to clear things up then there you go, acting like a child.” Aly continued. “I just let him know that you’re already married.” Brett said. “He said he only wanted to make friends.” Aly said. “Friends my foot. I’m a guy too, so, I know if one wants only to make friends or want to hit on you.” Brett said. Aly rolled her eyes.

Brett looked at Aly who was sitting at her table reading reports. Aly raised her head and saw Brett smiling sweetly at her. She gave him an angry squint that made him laughed.

“My wife is angry?” Brett asked walking towards Aly. Aly didn’t speak and just continued reading. Brett embraced Aly from behind. “Don’t be angry anymore, my love. It’s just that I know that he likes you. I only made him understand thay you’re already taken.” Brett said while giving little kisses to Aly’s nape. Aly felt shivers on her body. “Stop it. I can’t concentrate.” Aly said and Brett smiled. “Am I forgiven?” Brett said whispering to Aly’s ear. “Yes but don’t do it again or else I will not pay the debt even the interest.” Aly said stopping herself from laughing seeing Brett’s face crumpled.

“Ok, ok, I’ll behave, I’ll be good, I promise.” Brett said and with that, Aly laughed loudly.
