Devoured Eccentric - 31 New Kingdom
Near the Southern entrance of the Capital, a small figure stood, wrapped in ragged cloth.
The cloth served its purpose of anonymity quite well, only strands of dark black hair and eyes that matched could be seen.
The Capital, a place that segregated the influential, famed and worthy from the poor common folk. There was also another separation of sorts, between Capital dwellers and Aristocrats, and of course, The deeply rooted Royalty that stood above all.
The guards looked quite keen to kick away someone with clothing like Nero’s but the moment he held up a few lion coins in his grasp, the guards instantly froze.
They acted with the highest level of ignorance to their previous actions that Nero had ever seen.
Like the big man he was, he simply asked for a permanent ID token with the biggest smug on his face as if he was about snitch on these low-level cretins.
And then, he walked in, acting like he owned the place, frightening the poor guards even more. To them, it was like a disaster had struck, their jobs were on hanging on the edge, waiting to fall and collapse into oblivion just because of their pretentious attitude to this posh otherworldly character.
Inside the Capital, there was more than a noticeable difference in the details. Buildings had a grand look like wealth was abound throughout.
Beautifully tinted glass panes shone from a large, well-sculptured building.
It was this world’s version of Church, called Arktel, built upon this world’s largest religion, Relica.
–
Relica was a religion based on historical scripts depicting higher beings who kept the world together, Like Arkan, the God of creation who made everything that takes part in a Universe.
Arkan was also known to be called the Father of Humans as he had apparently personally created Humans, unlike Rosaria, which was formed by the consequence of Cause and effect.
He had created other Demi-gods from Humans and bestowed upon them blessings for them to rise and becoming the guiding path for humanity.
God of Love, God of Deception, God of Loyalty, God of Fortitude, and etc.
He had also given up his control over the essential parts of the gears of the Universe, bestowing upon portions of the powers of the universe onto these gods.
From this, entities came into being with greater power than the Human Demi-gods.
God of Time, God of Space, Gods of various laws like God of Gravity, God of Light, God of Absence, and etc.
Arkan thus became the Father of Everything who was left with 2 Powers on him, Creation and Control of Mana, the source that gave the other Gods their powers.
Naturally, concepts of space and time, gravity and light and their corresponding Gods were kept as a secret.
In actuality, there were many hidden secrets about the history of Relica, most of which unfortunately had disappeared along with Ebenfalls, the Greatest Human Treasure.
Such knowledge was thought to be profound, bringing forth a greater understanding when comprehended. It could help cultivators achieve a state of enlightenment.
It wasn’t the concepts themselves that played a big role in helping an individual advance, but the state of understanding that it brought about. In such a state, the brain was over-stimulated, making inconceivably entropic neural connections and resulting in a temporary change in the aptitude of comprehension, a hypothetical and vague aptitude concept that was thought to have an unthinkable effect, deciding whether one had the ability to advance in the later cultivation stages.
Stages far beyond the known Demon realm.
From the looks, Rosaria could be said to have an extreme level of similarity. The difference, however, was vast beyond imagination, and Nero would come to realise exactly how different both worlds were.
–
‘That Arktel is probably worth about as much as half of Pinnacle, except for the large mine.’ Nero thought.
‘Nova, how much of the processing capability are you using to find a neutralisation for the beast pathogen?’
‘Processing capability: ~100 PetaFlops
‘Capability used for pathogen problem: 24 PetaFlops
‘Other recording and analysis processes: 4 PetaFlops
‘Capability used to keep Nova functioning: 47 PetaFlops
‘Capability used to keep Restriction Code synchronised: 9 PetaFlops
‘Free Capability: ~16 PetaFlops’
‘I knew Nova’s consciousness was heavy on the chip but damn.’
Nero marvelled at the ability to keep a pseudo-Consciousness functioning. If Nero’s chip had even better processing capability, it could’ve kept his consciousness awake in the chip for the 5 years that it stayed dormant.
Also, unlike other analysis’, there was no way to know how much progress had been made, it was like guessing a password with absolutely no information to have a sense of deduction, it was simply trying random guesses and hoping one will miraculously work.
.
Nero had been aimlessly walking while thinking about various different things. In the background, he had asked Nova to take over and find an inn.

Since Nova couldn’t think for herself and only for Nero, most mental tasks were usually up to Nero to think and abstract the important factors and throw it at Nova to churn out potential solutions and answers.
While walking, Nova had also informed him of a few Hunters that she had detected. Most of them had walked in an imposing way like they were greater than those around them, but there had been a person who had a very discreet appearance, blending into the crowd.
In total, they passed 4 Hunters, all in the lower stages except for the hidden one who was a Novice.
A while later, an old but grand building with a slightly decrepit sign saying ‘Fable’s Inn’ came in view.
Without wait, Nero walked in through wide sliding auto-opening entry.
The creeping moss covering the building gave off an ancient aura, and the rays of light gleamed with brilliance, adding to the grand look of the inn.
There was no queue at the reception, only a middle-aged man behind the desk sipping well-brewed coffee.
Nero went right up to him without making a sound until the man noticed his movement from the corner of his eye.
“Hi there, can I get your best, quietest room for a week?”
