Did Not Say Anything About My Feelings - Chapter 12 Part 2
His left shoulder sunk slightly, someone had placed their hand on his shoulder, standing behind him as they asked, “Are you looking for me?”
Lin Ye suddenly stopped looking around. When he turned his head around, he saw Xia Dongchan standing behind him with a smile.
His expression was as usual as he nodded his head, “That’s right, I was looking for you.”
While they were speaking, he quietly looked past Xia Dongchan and landed on the figure of a person standing next to the stage.
The next second, that person seemed to feel his gaze and met his gaze from a distance.
Lin Ye’s gaze landed on the other’s facial features that seemed to be more distinct in the light. He saw Jiang Lian’s long fingers that were wrapped around his tie.
The other seemed to be sitting by the stage as he put on his tie, a leg extended forward comfortably, another leg bent slightly, he was stepping on the stairs of the stage with the black sole of his shoe, the collar of his shirt slightly loosened and opened. He did not button up his suit jacket, and there was an indifferent look on his face, the side of his face was shadowed.
Xia Dongchan was saying, “This uniform is so much better than the class uniform, right?”
Lin Ye had no mood to listen, and he simply nodded his head, distracted.
The stage’s decoration was complete, the staff clapped to get the thirty trainees to gather.
Xia Dongchan hurriedly turned around and left. The people next to him slowly started to move. He saw a lot of people walking past, and there were a lot of people just brushing past him.
Jiang Lian buttoned up his suit jacket and stood up from the steps. However, he did not turn around and get on stage. Instead, he went against the crowd and walked down the steps.
Lin Ye stood in place and did not move, watching as Jiang Lian walked towards him.
When he walked to stand in front of him, Lin Ye turned his gaze away and tilted his body to the side, taking a step back, to make way for the other.
Jiang Lian did not look at him again, his gaze was normal as he walked past.
The instant he passed by, Lin Ye caught a glimpse of the other’s lips moving.
Jiang Lian’s voice was low but clear, calling his name, “Lin Ye.”
The world was suddenly quiet.
Lin Ye instinctively held her breath.
Jiang Lian said simply, “We’ll be grouping up for our performance tonight, do you want to be in the same group as me?”
Lin Ye was stunned and quickly turned his head around, but was only in time to see Jiang Lian’s back.
The voices and the accompaniment started to come from all directions, flowing into his ear.
He returned to his senses. Suddenly, he could not tell if Jiang Lian’s words were part of his imagination or if they were real.
After a few minutes, the trainees on stage lined up in their team formation under the spotlight. Jiang Lian stood at the front of the team. The employees gave the signal and the music started. The trainees were all smiling and used their muscle memory to dance to the beat.
Lin Ye stood in the audience seats opposite the stage, his gaze still fixed on Jiang Lian.
Lin Ye looked at him as he raised his arm then brought it back in, kicking his leg and turning his body, squatting down and getting up in the interlude, his movements were very neat and calm.
The powerful beating sound of his head slowly started to overlap with the beat of the song, it was as if even his blood was boiling up.
Here it was again, this sort of feeling, Lin Ye thought. Even if it was a simple move, it was able to easily evoke a resonance in his chest.
He looked towards Jiang Lian at the climax of the song, he did not expect that he would meet Jiang Lian’s eyes, which were as deep as the sea. The stage light fell into his eyes, and it was like moonlight was hitting the turbulent sea waters, or like the whole starry sky fell to the bottom of the sea.
Lin Ye was shocked.
Suddenly, he understood why the shocked feeling Jiang Lian brought to him was different from others. To the current him, those teachers and seniors were all too far away for him to reach, but Jiang Lian was different. Jiang Lian truly existed by his side, he was someone Lin Ye could see and touch, someone Lin Ye was able to feel the urge to work hard to catch up to.
He even understood how it felt to look forward to performing on stage.
He felt that he had already started to look forward to standing in the position next to Jiang Lian’s side or behind him.
Undoubtedly, standing by Jiang Lian’s side and dancing, or even standing on the same stage as Jiang Lian and dancing, was extremely attractive to him.
That sort of attractiveness had nothing to do with looks.
He thought, could he finally make up his mind?
