Did Not Say Anything About My Feelings - Chapter 23. Nothing More
Lin Ye could tell from what he was hearing that the two people in the classroom were Cheng Chi and Qi Huan. Suddenly, he finally understood some things that he had remembered, such as how the two of them were sleeping in the same bed in their dormitory.
From the beginning till the end, the two of them did not notice Lin Ye and Jiang Lian, who were hiding behind the curtains. After they left, Lin Ye and Jiang Lian stayed at the windowsill for ten minutes before they finished and stood up.
Jiang Lian was not very satisfied with him, his voice low as he said, “Your skills are too bad.”
However, Lin Ye was very satisfied with Jiang Lian. When he remembered the moment the other kissed him and he handed himself over to the other, Lin Ye said honestly, “It’s true that I’m not as good as you.”
After that, the two of them had nothing else to say and they headed back to their hostel building in the dark. Lin Ye was about to remove the winter jacket he was wearing and return it to Jiang Lian, but the latter frowned, “You’ve sweat a lot, return it to me after you finish washing it.”
Lin Ye carried the down jacket back to his hostel. Xia Dongchan was playing with the Rubik’s cube and when he heard the sound, he raised his head, instantly feeling stunned, “Where did you come from? Why did you sweat so much?”
Lin Ye raised his hand and touched the hairs at his forehead that were wet with sweat, his tone casual, “I just came back after running rounds downstairs.”
Xia Dongchan nodded his head hesitantly, no longer asking any more questions.
His back that was covered in sweat had already become ice cold due to the cold wind. Lin Ye threw down his clothes and went to the bathroom to shower. Even when he switched on the hot water all the way, he still felt that it was not hot enough.
Lin Ye was already extremely tired since he went out in the cold right after sweating. Thus, after he showered, he climbed into bed and shut his eyes. He somehow managed to fall into a deep sleep quickly despite how the lights in the hostel were not switched off yet.
In the morning, Lin Ye had been unable to get up.
His alarm kept ringing insistently and Xia Dongchan came over to help him switch off his alarm and woke him up. Lin Ye’s head hurt a lot as he opened his eyes, “I’m not going, help me tell them I’m taking today off.”
Xia Dongchan agreed and left the room with his other roommates after a while.
The hostel was now empty and Lin Ye climbed out of bed to take flu medicine before carrying the blankets on Xia Dongchan bed and throwing it to his upper bunk.
His body was not weak and after he covered himself with two blankets and took a nap when he woke up, he realized his body was covered in sweat. Besides his hoarse voice and how he sounded bad, his flu was already much better.
Lin Ye got off the bed to brush his teeth and take a shower. When he held his toothbrush and stood in front of the sink, his eyes were half-closed as he pondered. He must have become muddled from sleep yesterday night. He had dreamt of seeing Cheng Chi and Qi Huan doing it in the classroom while Jiang Lian and he hid behind the curtains and helped get each other off.
After he bent down and spit out a mouthful of toothpaste his mind slowly started working. So it wasn’t a dream. It was something that had actually happened and was the main reason for his flu.
It was not very shocking for boys that age to help each other out. When Lin Ye was staying in the company hostel, he would occasionally bump into his roommates sitting in a circle in front of a computer and m*sturbating together while they watched the video. Not only were they not embarrassed, they even openly invited him to join in.
During those moments, Lin Ye would always glance at the young and sexy woman in the videos and answer politely, “It’s fine. I have to go to the practice room.”
There was even a period that he could not understand why was it straight males who were more open with doing such intimate things between those of the same gender, whereas people like him were the ones that were the most afraid of such things.
Jiang Lian was not the first one who did such things with him. His ex-boyfriend was the first one. It made Lin Ye feel glad that with his experience with his ex-boyfriend, he was at least able to act like a mature and experienced person, and would not act cowardly in front of Jiang Lian.
Lin Ye put down the cup he used to brush teeth and his toothbrush, turning around to grab the towel he had left on the balcony. Despite what he told himself, he kept feeling like doing such things with Jiang Lian was a little different from him doing such things with his ex-boyfriend.
As for how it was different? Lin Ye did not know either. He pondered for a while and at the moment he brought his towel and stepped into the bathroom, he hurriedly came to a conclusion.
The difference was probably that his ex-boyfriend had been his actual boyfriend at that time, but Jiang Lian was just a competitor he had no relationship with.
Ten minutes later, Lin Ye walked out of the bathroom, feeling refreshed. He took out a white down jacket with a clothing tag he had yet to remove out of the closet and put it on.
He bit on the buttered bread that he had bought in the supermarket and took the long road to send Jiang Lian’s black winter jacket to the dry cleaners. After that, he turned back and headed to the building with the practice rooms that were situated between the dry cleaners and the hostel.
The electricity had been returned to normal on the island and he could hear the two different songs being played from the classrooms on both sides of the corridor. Lin Ye pulled his winter jacket up as high as possible, his two hands were stuffed in the pockets of his jacket and he put on his hood as he lowered his head and walked into the Class A classroom.
The other five people in Group A were sitting in a circle at the back of the classroom as they discussed how they should improve the group formation. Wen Mian was the first to see him in the mirror and thought that this was a disguised trainee from next door coming over to spy on them and stood up to walk behind him, raising his arm to hook it around his neck, “Which group are you from? Why are you covered up so well?”
Yan Changfei helped Lin Ye answer, “He’s from our group.”
Only then did Wen Mian recognize Lin Ye. He laughed awkwardly and pulled him to sit by his side, “Didn’t you ask to take the day off?”
Lin Ye lifted the corner of his lips and smile, saying in a hoarse voice, “My body is weak but I am firm in spirit.”
Qi Huan, who was sitting opposite Lin Ye clicked his tongue, “What happened to your voice? What did you do last night?”
Lin Ye paused for a moment and instinctively glanced at Jiang Lian, whose expression was as normal. He used the same excuse, “I was running downstairs yesterday and caught a cold.”
No one doubted his words.
Yan Changfei was the first to get up and clap his hands, saying, “Since Lin Ye is here, let’s practice the formation change that we were practicing before the power went out yesterday night.”
The others had no objections and stood up. Lin Ye stood up to remove his jacket by the windowsill. The half-open curtains had been fully opened by someone and Lin Ye pulled on the zipper on his clothes and saw Jiang Lian taking off his watch from the corner of his eyes.
Lin Ye looked forward, his lips moving slightly but his face did not turn in Jiang Lian’s direction at all, “I sent your jacket to the dry cleaners and left your name. You can collect it yourself.”
Jiang Lian was noncommittal and slowly said in a low voice, “If your voice is still like that next week, the production team won’t allow you to go on stage for the public performance.”
Lin Ye was quiet for a moment before he asked softly, pausing between each word, “Didn’t you contribute to this?”
Jiang Lian was quiet and did not answer, but suddenly leaned over, his arm moving past Lin Ye to grab the baseball hat he had placed in the corner, “You didn’t feel good?”
Lin Ye hesitated a little but answered honestly in the end, “I felt good.”
Jiang Lian’s expression was mild and he placed the watch he had taken off into his baseball hat. He held the baseball hat and seemed to weigh it in his hands. After that, his lips curved up, “Lin Ye, you need some practice.”
Lin Ye’s expression froze.
Wen Mian’s voice came from behind, “What do you need to practice?”
Lin Ye’s expression instantly became strange.
Jiang Lian, who was next to Lin Ye put down his baseball hat and turned around, his expression unchanging, “Dance. He should practice his dancing.”
Wen Mian was very shocked and moved closer to Lin Ye, asking in a confused manner, “You’re only working together with him once and he has such high expectations of you?”
Lin Ye suddenly raised his eyes and looked at Wen Mian.
Wen Mian did not understand, “What are you looking at me for? Is there gold on my face?”
Lin Ye shook his head in a perfunctory manner and lazily opened his eyes, “What you said is right. Why do I need to practice? It’s not like I’ll be cooperating with him in the future again.”
Wen Mian was even more confused. After a moment, he clicked his tongue and muttered, “Don’t be so sure of that. Perhaps the two of you will be assigned to the same group during the next public performance.”
But Lin Ye had already walked away and did not hear Wen Mian’s mutterings.
