Did Not Say Anything About My Feelings - Chapter 38. You Aren’t Dumb
After doing it, his butt did not hurt that much and Lin Ye even pondered before he slept about whether he was too gifted at this.
The next day, when he woke up to his alarm, Lin Ye endured the discomfort in his butt and climbed up from his bed to switch off his alarm. Only then did he realize that he was completely wrong.
He climbed down from the upper bunk, moving so slowly he was like an old man. When his feet stepped onto the ground, there was only one thought in his mind, he had suffered a big loss.
It was just a main dancer position, and his ass had to hurt for a few days, it was undoubtedly an unfair deal.
This thought became more and more intense when he saw Jiang Lian, who was moving as usual in the classroom. The good thing was that they did not need large-scale movement
It was just that the hard floor of the practice room was uncomfortable for Lin Ye to sit on. Even his teammates sitting next to him noticed Lin Ye was suffering and absent-minded.
Qiu Yi could not help asking him, “What’s the matter with you today?”
Lin Ye’s movements froze and his gaze looked past Qiu Yi, lightly looking towards Jiang Lian and answering simply, “My hemorrhoids are acting up.”
Qiu Yi’s expression changed from surprised to sympathy. “My mother also has hemorrhoids, it’s uncomfortable.”
Ming Rang’s smile was teasing, “If you have hemorrhoids, don’t sit on the hard floor.”
Lin Ye looked at the empty classroom and casually asked, “Where do you think I should seat?”
Ming Rang did not answer, but Qiu Yi answered with a wink, “If you have nowhere to sit, just sit on our legs.”
As soon as he said those words, he was met with the burning gaze of Lin Ye and their other teammates.
Qiu Yi was stunned, then, he hesitantly opened his mouth, “… It’s just a joke, why are all of you looking at me? Haven’t you ever seated on the legs of your friends in high school?”
The lips of their teammates twitched and no one spoke.
Only Jiang Lian had a mild expression, as if agreeing with Qiu Yi’s words. He naturally unfolded his curled legs and patted his palm on his thighs twice, lifting his gaze to look towards Lin Ye, lifting the corners of his lips and saying, “
Getting into acting mode for official matters was easy after a while.
Lin Ye quickly reacted and picked up the lyrics, standing up and walking to stand in front of Jiang Lian. Then, he raised his legs and stepped closer to the other’s thighs, and leaned down to sit down on Jiang Lian’s legs without hesitation.
His teammates, who were looking on were shocked. Only Ming Rang and Qiu Yi’s expressions did not change. Qiu Yi even followed Jiang Lian’s lead and extended his legs, pinching the flesh on his thighs and smiling at Lin Ye, “The flesh on my thighs is definitely softer than Jiang Lian’s, do you want to try?”
Lin Ye felt that he should not take this too far and was about to go along with Qiu Yi’s words, reaching out to hold Jiang Lian’s shoulder and standing up from his seat on his legs.
Jiang Lian, who had his back against the wall, straightened up, leaning forward coldly and resting his chin on Lin Ye’s shoulder, his hands going past Lin Ye’s armpits and picking up the lyrics book in Lin Ye’s hand. Then, his expression was calm as he flipped through and read the notes Lin Ye left on the lyrics book, and even commented briefly, “The emotion in this sentence isn’t quite correct, it’s not simply anger.”
“Really?” Lin Ye was stunned, his gaze landing on his lyrics book, “Besides for anger, what other emotions are there?”
Jiang Lian opened his lips and spit out two words, “Anger that stems from grief.”
Lin Ye deliberately questioned him, “Isn’t that a kind of anger?”
Jiang Lian said, “That’s different.”
Lin Ye disagreed, “What’s the difference?”
“In addition to anger, there is grief,” Jiang Lian turned around and opened his palm in the direction of Ming Rang, “Give me a pen.”
Ming Rang got a pen from the others and passed it to Jiang Lian. Jiang Lian held the pen and cancelled out the ‘anger’ that Lin Ye wrote on the paper, writing ‘grief and anger’ on an empty space.
Lin Ye looked at what Jiang Lian wrote on his lyrics book in a daze, recalling for some reason the second day that he came to the venue, Jiang Lian had gone to their dorm room to confiscate the phones and had written down his name on the envelope.
Jiang Lian’s words were as pretty as they had been before, but Jiang Lian’s relationship with him had completely changed. If it had been in the past, he probably would not have expected that he would one day go to bed with Jiang Lian.
Of course, the phrase ‘go to bed’ might not have been very accurate. Jiang Lian and he had only done it on the floor of the classroom once, there was no bed, and they had not even completely removed their clothes.
Realizing that he was distracted, Jiang Lian covered the pen in his hand with the pen cap, lifting up the pen and knocking it on the back of Lin Ye’s hand, “Why are you in a daze?”
Lin Ye returned to his senses, “It’s nothing.”
Jiang Lian glanced at what he had changed and after a moment, he lifted his brows, “My handwriting is a little ugly. But,” His voice was tinged with slight amusement, “As long as my person is better looking than my words, it’s good enough.”
Lin Ye was stunned, the retort he was about to spout out instantly disappeared.
Jiang Lian, who was behind Lin Ye, stuffed the lyrics book and the pen into Lin Ye’s hand, reminding him, “When you’ve sat enough, stand up.”
Lin Ye did not listen to him and stand up. Instead, he suddenly recalled another matter. He instinctively looked around and saw that everyone had their heads lowered and were looking at their lyrics, no one was taking notice of the two of them. Only then did he turn his head to look towards Jiang Lian.
It happened that Jiang Lian had already moved his hands away, leaning against the wall behind him. Lin Ye raised his hand to pull on Jiang Lian’s clothes, in a corner that the camera could not capture his face, he raised his brows and asked, “I did it with you, and you use the main dancer position that I could get with my ability in exchange?”
Jiang Lian got close to him and his gaze was meaningful, “Not everyone can sit on the center’s thighs.”
“Who knows if the production team will edit that part out,” Lin Ye muttered in a low voice, the hand that was grabbing onto his clothes loosened.
Just when morning practice was about to end, the staff members in the production team sent over new team uniforms that had the same style and color.
Lin Ye’s group received white sweaters and trousers that had the sponsor’s logo printed on them. The staff member instructed them, “From tomorrow onwards, don’t wear those colorful class uniforms, everyone should wear the same team uniform.”
The trainees nodded and chose a set of team uniforms that fit their size. After the staff left, Qiu Yi touched the new team uniform and exclaimed, “The production team is finally willing to give us new clothes. I thought I would have to wear this set until the last episode.”
Someone laughed and scolded him for not knowing how lucky he was, “If it’s the pink uniform from Class A, I’ll be willing to wear it until my debut day.”
Qiu Yi immediately started to joke around with the other person.
Lin Ye took the unopened new team uniform and placed it under his butt, picking up the lyrics book and looking at the lines he had yet to finish reading. At that time, someone from the production team came over again.
The other directly called Jiang Lian out by name. QIu Yi made a temporary reconciliation with the teammate he was messing around with, meeting the other’s gaze with a curious glance, before the two of them bent down and walked gently to the door to eavesdrop.
Within two minutes, Qiu Yi returned with information, “They are asking Jiang Lian to pick someone very tall from our group and shoot an advertisement for the sponsor,” He tutted, “Who’s the tallest among us?”
Ming Rang laughed, “Won’t we be able to tell if all of us stand up and compare our heights?”
Qiu Yi raised his hand and signaled for everyone to stand up, pulling Lin Ye up from the floor. The seven of them stood in a line and compared their heights in the mirror. The trainees gazes landed on Ming Rang’s face.
Qiu Yi was just about to open his mouth when he noticed Jiang Lian walking in from outside. He turned to look towards Jiang Lian and heard Jiang Lian say, “The production team had me bring a teammate along to film a commercial—”
The other had yet to finish speaking when Qiu Yi interrupted him, “I know, you need someone tall.”
Jiang Lian glanced at him, his expression not changing, “They do need someone tall, but they can’t be taller than me or shorter than Qiu Yi.”
Everyone was stunned, they had not expected such strict restrictions to be added on. Then, all of them looked at Lin Ye and pushed him forward, “There happens to be someone here that meets the requirements.”
Lin Ye looked surprised and confirmed with Jiang Lian, “Me?”
Jiang Lian asked faintly, “Besides for you, is there anyone else that meets the requirement here?”
Their teammates looked at each other before they shook their head, “No.”
“Then it’ll have to be you,” Jiang Lian gently raised his chin in Lin Ye’s direction, “You have to do your styling in advance at noon. Come with me.”
After Jiang Lian said that, he turned around and walked out. Lin Ye hesitated and stayed in his original spot for a second, but followed him after a moment.
The two of them had just walked out of the classroom when Lin Ye stopped Jiang Lian, expression complicated as he asked, “Is there a part that requires dancing in the advertisement?”
Jiang Lian stopped walking, “I’ve asked, there isn’t.”
Lin Ye was a little relieved. After a moment, he felt suspicious, “Did they really say that you need to find someone who isn’t taller than you and isn’t shorter than Qiu Yi?”
Jiang Lian put his hands in his pockets and looked at him for a while, asking, “Do you believe it?”
Lin Ye thought about it, “I don’t.”
Jiang Lian nodded and reached out a hand to pinch his cheeks. After a few secondsm he let go, turning away, “Looks like you aren’t dumb.”
Lin Ye was stunned, and the half of his face that was pinched was hot.
In Class A’s classroom, Qiu Yi rested his arm on Ming Rang’s shoulder and sighed, “What a pity, you’ve just missed the opportunity to be photographed.”
Ming Rang smiled, pushing the hand that was on his shoulder away, turning around to pat Qiu Yi’s face, smile unchanging, “You’re still too young.”
